I would like to open by saying what a PRIVILEGE it is to take the time to give my glowing review. I have never been so impressed with a service from start to finish. Justin, who performed the duct cleaning, was BOTH professional and personable. He was a true delight!!! Then, Mark, who was the A/C technician, did a great job of tuning up our system. What impressed me about Mark, he was thorough in his inspection, told me his expert opinion, but did not try to offer services or parts that were not needed.

Furthermore, Ashley, who was the phenomenal young lady that was my office contact, made sure that I was comfortable and informed concerning pricing and scheduling.

The owner, Joe, obviously know how to hire and train his employees to perfection. I am beyond impressed with this business and would refer Clean Air America without reservation to anyone with A/C needs!!!!!

I had a bad experience with this company, and I hope my accounts will prevent others from the ordeal I had go through. My AC was running fine, but I decided to be proactive and hire these guys to service my AC before the heat of summer, as my AC is about 17 years old. After they serviced it, it started giving me trouble, as the compressor would not kick in. If you want the details, read below. Two months after they serviced it, my AC stopped working all together, after I had spent $1100+ (3 visits by them) with these guys. Cause was a lose low-voltage wire that their tech had not put on properly. We had to suffer through a whole day and a half before they came and fixed it. THEN, they had the audacity to sell me a story that the compressor was not drawing enough current so only one valve is working(bogus story verified by another company's tech) and that I had to replace the whole unit soon. So, they tried to sell me the outside unit and evaporator coil, a low-end Goodman brand for close to $7000. I am electrical engineer by profession, so I smelled the BS right away.

I hired these guys to service my AC and clean my ducts in June, 2013. The tech said my Freon was low, cap was old and contacts too old. I agreed as my AC is 17 years old. They charged $456 dollars for parts and labour, and another $324 for duck cleaning and coil cleaning. Three days later my compressor would not kick in. I had to turn the thermostat off and turn back on. It did it again a few days later, and kept doing it every few days. I called the company and they sent out another tech on July 1st. That tech said my Freon was low again because of a leak near one of the filters, which the first tech missed all together, but somehow the second tech caught it. He also said I need a started cap, as my compressor was old. I went ahead with the repairs and total this time was $326, even though this visit would not have been necessary if the first tech had found the leak. August 19th the AC stopped working. The last tech did not put on one of the low voltage wires properly, and it came lose. Third tech showed up August 20th, fixes the connection in front of me, and tells me my compressor is firing on one valve only, and that I would be better off with a new unit. Hell, I know that, but don't sell me some made up story about the compressor firing on one valve, and then try to sell me a low-end Goodman unit for $7000. After hearing my story, my friend asked his neighbor who is an AC tech to come look at my system. He told me the compressor is working as its supposed to, and since my unit is old, I would need to replace it sometime in the future. He offered to install a Train system, replacing everything including the furnace for $6000.

They sent unprofessional kids out to my house to clean the mold from my vent system during the summer of 2014. Since such time that Clean Air America "cleaned" my vent system, my electric bill sky rocketed during peak seasons! I asked them to return Sept of 2015 for two reasons, 1) The mold was back. 2) Our bedroom is not cooling properly as it did prior to the service and my electric bill has been crazy high. They sent more unprofessional kids to my home to "check the vents and clean the system under warranty." Today I had an HVAC tech in my attic and unbeknownst to me for the past 3 years, there was an air vent completely open to the attic, which has been cooling and heating my attic!!!! I called Clean Air America and sent the photo attached, requesting a refund for the cleaning service that was close to $400!! Just two electric bills over the summer are way more than $400, so it's only fair to give me a FULL refund, due to the negligent service on behalf of the kids they have working for them that have cost me hundreds of dollars in wasted electricity! I really hope they make this wrong right or they'll be hearing from the BBB.

I used Clean Air America to replace our AC in our current home and in our lease homes. They are great, they were able to fix one of our air conditioners and do complete air duct cleaning, along side replace one. They are truly a one stop shop with great prices and customer service!! Great Great Service!!

I had many issues with my home and saw black on my vents. I called them and they came to my house the next day. I showed them the black on the vents and they cleaned all the black (mold) off the vents and inside the ducts. I also got a 3 year warranty with my purchase. Thank you Clean Air America.

First they came in my yard with out me being present to look at my ac unit, I bought a groupon so that they can clean my air duct and add some free on to my ac unit but when they came they said my air duct was beyond repairable because I have mold growing and they have to get chemicals and uv light to fix and and if they were to vacuum it the mold will spread. They than talked to me into cleaning my dryer duct instead so I agreed. As for the ac unit my smaller unit for upstairs just stopped working and my bottom unit needed repairs as well, I got a quote for 10000. I almost did it but my wife had me get another quote just in case we can get a better deal so when another company came they said my big unit just needed more free on and as for the smaller unit used to power upstairs the wiring was not correct. It makes me wonder that if my upstairs unit was not wired correctly wouldn't clean air catch that? I called a lawyer and she said there is nothing I can do because I don't have evidence but I have a good idea about what happened.

I will give it to them, they were timely but that's all the good I can say. We are first time home buyers so I guess when they walked in the door they saw dollar signs. All we were going to pay them for was a duct cleaning but they soone came back down with "bad news". We had a "terrible black mold problem"... They said the only way to fix it would be to replace it for $3000 because cleaning it wouldn't fully get rid of the problem. I tell you when they first said that nearly went bald right then and there. But then I got to wondering how our inspector could have missed the mold coming out of the registers. This is a guy that eyeballed our guest bathroom toilet wasn't to code because it was 1/2 inch too close to the wall (he measured as well and was right). Anyway the Clean Air guy went and "talked to his boss" and came back saying he can sign us up for the "cleaning plan" or whatever (where they would come and clean every few months along with putting some UV light thing in our ducts) for only $1300. Sounded real fishy to me so we said we would think about it and sent them on their way. We had a different HVAC guy come out for a second opinion and immediately said "yea that's just dirt" and that we would know if it was mold because it would be moist and almost greasy looking not dry and dusty. Long story short they tried to swindle us into spending hundreds of dollars completely needlessly. I don't know about you but I don't like people lying to me especially when it involves my home and my family.

The staff at CleanAir America were respectful and had the best customer service I have ever encountered with an A/C company. They truly cared about the wellness of my family. They took care of the problem we had with speed and efficiency. I strongly recommend this company to anyone.

Don't bother with a Groupon for these people.

First off, the groupon cost was $75. Merchant claims regular price for this service is $299. This regular price is about average for this service with these merchants for my house with 20 vents, give or take $50. Oh, and it almost always includes sanitation!

When I called to make the appointment, I was told it's $10 per vent and only 10 are included in the Groupon. I KNEW only 10 vents were included, so I was okay with this. That would be an additional charge of $70. $10/vent is average in the industry in my experience.

BUT--When they called ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT, I was told it was an ADDITIONAL $50/each charge for the return air and plenum pipes (the duct work that ALL FURNACES HAVE!) So now, we're up to $170 + $75 for the Groupon, which brings their "deal" to $245. For a savings of only $54--not worthy of a Groupon, in my opinion. PLUS, to charge $100 EXTRA for the return air and plenum pipes, when they are a common part of every furnace system is ridiculous! Even following THEIR OWN pricing structure, this deal isn't great:

    ($10/vent x 20 Vents = $200) plus ($50 X 2 pipes = $100) equals $300.

I didn't appreciate hearing about the extra $100 at the last minute. That's poor business practice. If I had been told when I called initially, I wouldn't have bothered to make an appointment to begin with and would have just gone with a company I know, like Mighty Ducts. Plus, when the guy came out to give the estimate (free estimate) he was two hours early AND got an attitude when I complained about the addition cost. I informed him that the total cost was now about the same as "everything quotes" I got from some of their competitors. Heck, they didn't even have to prep the return and plenum because it had been done by Mighty Ducts 10 years ago!
