They put a new unit in my house. Cost me nearly 8k. It was improperly charged with freon, has had problems freezing up since it was installed. I ended up having to pay another company to come add freon and get it working. 800 dollars that I feel should have been under warranty. I was told it would be a few days before they could get to me because they sent out about 10k cards to have Ac's checked before summer and about 9k replied. A customer with a down system should take priority over a system check but, apparently not with A&E. I am going to take my business elsewhere and encourage you to consider doing the same so you get the service you pay for. They have given me the run around since day 1 and will not be getting any more of my money. Everything my system now needs is "imagine this" NOT COVERED by warranty so, I will be paying out of pocket AGAIN. If that's the case it won't be A&E getting the business! Rant over !
Service technician never showed up for scheduled appointment. Never received any communication regarding a delay or cancellation. Scheduled with another business who promptly addressed the HVAC issues. Poor customer service.
I have had the BEST service with A&E. Brent installed my new AC years ago and I have a maintenance agreement where they check my unit twice a year. I like knowing my drain line is cleaned out before summer and having my heater checked before winter. I couldn't be more happy with the techs and great service. :)
Do not use! If you use this company you are wrong! I purchased a system from A and E in the summer of 2020. They have been nothing short of absolutely awful to work with.
It has been about six months since I purchased a 2 ton unit and it started having issues with heat. It was clear that the problem was due to a bad install. The fan speed was set improperly and the Freon level was wrong causing the unit to shut down. The unit had not been serviced by any other company. They billed for the repair even though it was their bad install that resulted in the problem and the unit was under warranty.
The problems with this company started immediately! Right after the unit was installed, I noticed a huge mess that they left by the unit, broken concrete, wire, lunch trash etc. On further inspection We found that they had not hooked up the emergency heat, they installed the drain line improperly and the Unit was pressurizing wrong causing it to shut down.
The bottom line is . . . don’t use this company! If you do, be prepared for them to fight you tooth and nail on everything. They are absolutely terrible to work with.
Service man seemed very knowledgable and detected the problem very quickly. Unfortunately, he spent a full hour telling me the product that was purchased 4 years ago from A&E is a piece of junk and we should forgo repair and replace the unit. Probably not par for the course but I was certainly taken aback, I've heard good things about the company; was surprised the employee did not stand behind his product.
Extremely disappointed in this company. They came out to my house for an estimate and Joshua opened out backyard gate. When he was finished he didn’t bother to close the gate knowing we have 4 dogs. We let them outa few minutes later and of course they all left. My husband and I spent about half an hour scouring the neighborhood and collecting them all. When I called their number I was asked 1000 questions. Terrible company and we won’t be using them for our repairs.
I requested to get a copy of my warranty back in May 2019 and still do not have it. I have followed up via phone and email since May 2019 with no luck. Each time I am told the Office Manager will call me back. I will encourage everyone not to conduct business with this company. This is unprofessional and I have no tolerance for it.
We recently had a&e a.c. install a complete a.c. system. The a.c. works fine and the install seems to be ok but the communication was terrible. They advertised a $500 discount on their website then conveniently removed the advertisement when we ask for the discount to be applied. Took us over a week to get our receipt that we asked for for days. Not sure what was going on there. We dont get a professional feeling with this company. Many different stories out of the office and from the owner. We feel like they owe us the $500 discount that mysteriously was removed from the website. O.. when we finally got the receipt a week later, the price was jacked up to reflect the discount we never got.
We woke up in the middle of the night freezing cold. Our heater had quit working. We called A&E to come out. Their response time was excellent, and the technician Tony was very friendly and helpful. He had the part we needed on his vehicle, and had us up and going in no time. I will definitely recommend this company to everyone I know. Thank you A&E!
