1st Choice Energy

I hired 1st Choice Energy to do a home efficiency upgrade and to install a new variable speed Trane heat pump. This was a big investment in my home, and I am very satisfied with the work and the service.

I am somewhat knowledgeable about building science and home efficiency. I chose 1st Choice because David and his team understand this stuff and how to apply it in central Texas. David spent a lot of time with me explaining the reasoning behind his recommendations.

During the efficiency work (ducting, blow-in insulation, sealing the home, window screens) and heat pump install, David was frequently on site to check in on how things were going. He was always a phone call away.

There were a few problems that sprang up after the work. A bad solenoid in the heat pump; a software glitch in the thermostat. David was all over it, making sure that they got resolved asap.

I highly recommend you consider 1st Choice Energy for any HVAC and home efficiency work because they are excellent at communication, including after the sale, and they do good work.

Great company and a great team! a young man came to my door and told me i could get a free energy audit through Austin Energy's program and being very suspicious of door to door people i asked alot of questions and he answered them intelligently and thoroughly so i scheduled a time. Caleb there energy consultant came to my home and did a inspection of my home (going into my attic and checking my air ducts) them explained where i was loosing energy. He broke down the numbers on the amount of money i was loosing and had a list of solutions that i could study. Very impressed no pressure, felt like a education session about my home
