I wish there was a 0 star rating to give! This company installed a compresser and air handler for me through American Homeshield (AHS) in Jan/2019. There were several issues during the install such as communication issues, had to come back out a couple of days later to install a new thermostat, then a couple of days later my husband noticed they left their gauges attached to the outdoor unit and the door off the condenser. They were very responsive to that of course. Fast forward to July/2019 come home to water dripping from a light fixture in the hallway under the air handler. We go up in the attic to investigate and the trunk line is full of water. We put a level on the air handler and it was out of level about an 1-1/2 inches back towards the trunk line. I called no response. I sent a text to Brad Terry their regional manager, he did not immediately respond but I kept on until he did. I let him know the situation and his response was that he was busy on a big job in Charlotte and that he thought they were on a hold with AHS anyway and my best bet would be to go through AHS and get a different contractor. I said then I have to pay a $75 service fee and this is your work. Then he claimed they couldn't touch it anyway which is a lie. Long story short, I hired my own company to come out, not only was it out of level, the drain line was not vented and the refrigerant was not charged properly. Fortunately AHS worked with me and I recouped the money I spent to repair their total and complete shoddy work. Keep in mind that throughout this process I did my due diligence and contacted them several times without a return call. So you have been warned if you use them this is the treatment you will receive. They do terrible work and they know it and they will not take care of their customers. It is simple, do a good job and when something goes wrong fix it. I will tell everyone I can how bad of a job I received and meanwhile the good HVAC company that went behind them and cleaned up their mess has done 2 installs off of referrals from me.

Absolutely the WORST company ever. American Home Sheild needs to do better at deciding what companies they send to their clients homes. This company was scheduled to come out to my house on june 26 between 2 and 4. They didnt show up until after 6. I've waited and waited and here it is July 18th and I have heard nothing. I've called 3-5 times A DAY with no answer. Left multiple voicemails and got nothing in return. I have spoke with AHS about this and they just say give them till this Friday.....its been almost 4 fridays later and I still have no AC in my home. AHS 1st told me that this company ordered the part i needed on the 5th of July and it was supposed to be delivered on the 9th and then I was to get a. All to schedule the services that week....again not a single call. So I called AHS that friday and a different employee of theirs told me they ordered the part on the 9th and that it was supposed to be delivered on the 19th. Why in the world would I get 2 different dates????? Also why did it take so long for this company to order my part??? I had to call AHS to see what the status was a week and a half after Low Countrys NOT SO BEST Heating and Air came to my house and they sad they still hadn't sent the diagnosis over to them. So here I am almost a month later sitting in the parking lot where this company is said to do their business and guess what......THEY DONT EVEN OPERATE OUT OF THIS BUILDING!!!! They never have. So I cant get them on the phone nor is their address correct. This company should be shut down asap so nobody else has to deal with this ridiculousness

I gave this business so many chances to fix the gouges they left in the surface of my bathtub and got nothing but excuses. Granted, the drain flare was corroded, making it difficult to remove. Apparently the previous owner used Drano instead of taking the hair clog out manually, and the Lowcountry's Best worker's tool slipped leaving gouges in the bottom of my tub. But all the worker would have had to do is ask me for an old towel to protect the tub's surface. Even after I offered to help them with the cost of making the repairs, the owner gave nothing but excuses. This has made me very wary of hiring small businesses for repairs around my home. I'm very aware that white businessmen mess up too, but when they do, they come back and redeem themselves. That's not the case with Lowcountry's Best. I go out of my way to support up and coming businesses, and I truly regret being forced to tell the truth about Lowcounty's Best.

Sent to my home by American Home Shield. Would not recommend using. AC unit was freezing up. After 2 different reps and multiple visits, the problem still existed. Reps claimed to be replacing parts or having to order parts. However, issue still wasn't resolved. I would have to wait days between a rep getting back to me to repair the problem. My light bill doubled. Had to get floor heaters to warm the house. Then one of the reps took my Honeywell touch screen thermostat and replaced it with this old outdated one. Why, I'm not sure. Tried to say the Thermostat was the problem. It wasn't. After many complaints to AHS, they finally sent out another company. This company came out the same day; and, the AC unit problem was resolved. Haven't had another issue yet. American Home Shield lost a faithful customer. Have to be more aware of who you're sending to customers homes. Low Country owes me a thermostat since mine was stolen. I have called and called trying to inquire about having my thermostat returned/replaced. Calls always go to voicemail. No one returns your call. AHS says they've called and emailed, with no response. So unprofessional!!! If I could give a zero I would! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. BEWARE!!!!!!

The technician that came out was polite and knowledgeable. He advised that it would take 2-3 days to get the new hot water heater. There was no follow up after that. I have spoken with American Home Shield and they stated that the contractor never completed the work order almost a week ago. All attempts to contact them or get follow up have failed.

Steve, Thank you for being flexible with my schedule and resolving the issue so quickly. I appreciated your professionalism and attitude.

To the company, I was informed (twice) that someone would contact me to let me know about the appointment but only received a call when the tech was on his way to my home. This is not only unprofessional but also inconsiderate. I do advise you to make sure that you contact the client when you put a schedule for a job to be done so that he/she can be present at the requested time. That way it will provide the company a positive view from the client and remove the need to reschedule a job.

This company was selected by American Homeshield (AHS) to complete the job we requested.

I have dealt with some poor service providers before, but Low Country's "Best" may be the worst. Our hot water heater went out, and our home warranty company (HSA) assigned LCB to fix the problem. They supposedly ordered the necessary part the same day they came out. Two weeks later, we STILL DON'T HAVE "the part". They just sent me a text with an order update saying the part is now temporarily delayed. Kenneth, the supposed "boss" of this shoddy company, will never call us, leaving all the dirty work up to the tech, who actually seems like a nice guy and sympathetic to our issue. Bottom line is, if your home warranty company tries to assign you this company, tell them you want someone else. We tried to do that, but since we didn't know right away how bad they were, when we called, our warranty company told us we couldn't change because LCB had supposedly ordered the part already. We are almost at the point of paying $800 or so just to get it fixed by a real company. Pathetic.

I had this company to my house twice. Unfortunately it was due to the requirement from American Home Shield. The first time my air conditioner did not work. Workmen began rewiring the system completely. I made him stop and had a professional look at it and it just needed a part changed out and works fine. They unfortunately came out a second time as well for another system. Required by AHS even though I asked for another company. They determined that he needed a coil. He said they would order it. I called several times over the ensuing 12 days and was told it was on order. Ultimately I found out they forgot to order it. They also contact added over $300 worth of extra work not covered by AHS for the drainage system. I had this looked at by a professional as well and is in perfectly normal running condition. At day 16 with no part and no air conditioning in 100° South Carolina Summer heat I did a cash out and got professional to fix it. The part was actually common and was in town and it took them one day to fix. I have double checked that Low Country's Best heating and air-conditioning is actually the company that was sent out as they are referred to in e-mails to me from AHS and share the same phone number. It is indeed them and it is the worst job I've ever seen and that the other professionals have ever seen. Actually when I mention the name low countries best heating and air conditioning they rolled her eyes and said there the worst.

I have a warranty with American Home Shield and they sent this company. They came out to check it out and then I had an appointment for that Thursday between 12-2 and noone showed up and then again there was supposed to be an appointment for Saturday between 4-8pm which is late on Saturday and no one has shown up again. AHS has been called several times and they can't reach Low County and their mailbox is full so you can't even leave a message. So thanks AHS and Low Country for letting my HVAC be broken for over a week now.
