Gervais Heating and Air

I put in a request Monday evening for a malfunction reading when I turned on the A/C. "Technician " showed up Tuesday afternoon as scheduled. My thermostat read "wire Y1 malfunction " After some time , he went to the unit, then back to the thermostat. Some 40 or so minutes later, this guy claimed I had a bad board, looking at $400-$500. This unit is less than 2 years old, Carrier w/a 10 year mfg warranty. I was then advised Gervias do not have an account with Carrier. Bear in mind I paid a $85 service fee. I contacted another hvac showed up Wednesday. The problem was determined to be the thermostat after a 10 minute troubleshoot, $129 service fee. In short, I have paid $85 to find what was NOT the problem, $129 to find out what the problem was. Bought a thermostat today, & lo- I have A/C. In short, I paid $85 for nothing. Add to that $129 for a competent troubleshooting. ($120 for the thermostat) Had my issue been adequately diagnosed, I would have + $129 in my bank. Try these people if you so choose, based on my experience, they are hit-or-miss miss, your $85 is at risk of being handed over for no results in turn. $85 for wrong diagnosis, $129 to rectify that, GERVIAS owes me $214. I am NOT in the habit of spending $85 to find out what the problem ISN'T. BUYER BEWARE!!

Adrian and his assistant were the utmost professionals before during and after the installation of my new AC system. They were fast and did an excellent job of cleaning up. Adrian also helped me register my system online for the extended warranty. I would highly recommend Gervais Heating and Air.
