M&B Heating and Air

I had M&B install an hvac unit less than 10 years ago. I did not realize at the time that it was improperly done. Now that things have started to go downhill and I had three other consults, I see the issues. M&B serviced my unit twice per year ever since, never letting me know that there were problems. It wasn't until the unit leaked through the ceiling that we found out the issues. I contacted them several times for the last couple years of reports and it was like pulling teeth. I'm not even sure if they did reports all the time. I also asked for my money back for the maintenance plan that they just charged for as they didn't do anything and I wound up having to replace the entire unit. I no longer want to use them and just want the money back for services that haven't even occurred. They did not do anything to replace/repair the unit (I used another company) and they do not even have the decency to respond to my requests and communication. I've never witnessed such poor service.

We picked M&B to replace our 15 year old heat pump. Everyone from Julie in the office to our system installers, Matt & Freddie were friendly, courteous and professional. Matt and Freddie were prompt and on time both days during the replacement of our old dying 14 seer Lennox unit with a new 17 seer American Standard unit. They made sure to cover all of the flooring pathways necessary for access into the attic of our 2 story house. After they had left, I did note the new Honeywell Pro thermostat on the 2nd floor didn’t have an Auto Mode. I contacted Julie and she promptly scheduled service to replace it at no charge. The technician for this replacement, Mike, was as equally on time, courteous and professional as his colleagues. We enjoyed talking with all the employees we interacted with, are very satisfied with our new unit and would recommend M&B for unit replacement and/or servicing.

Our technicians were amazing! Respected our home with clean mats, installed a complicated HVAC with utmost efficiency and ensured we we’re happy with the complete installation. Worked with our condo residential mgmt to ensure a smooth install. Highly recommend!

Had M&B replace a compressor in my downstairs hvac back in 2012 because their prices were significantly better than their competition. When I needed a new upstairs hvac installed in 2016, they installed a 2-stage and I have never been happier.

Yesterday, I had them replace my downstairs unit with a new 2-stage and you can see the photos of how clean and professional the installation looks.

One of the things that turned out absolutely perfectly was my request to install a secondary drain pan. I had the unpleasant experience of finding my air handler had leaked some water over the side of the main pan due to excessive residue buildup on my coils back in 2014 or so and ended up with some slightly warped floorboards. Hence why you should always keep up with your maintenance calls, it would have been caught before it became a leak point. Anyways, so I wanted to make sure I had a secondary pan when I got my new unit installed. I sketched up a schematic and Eric made it happen on site, used some treated 2x4s to make a structural frame inside the pan to raise the air handler, and it is PERFECT! Exactly what I was looking for.

M&B is by far the best an friendliest HVAC company I've dealt with. The installation was smooth and and fast. The office staff is informative and helpful as the installation crew. One of the cheapest prices for a unit out of 6 quotes. And they were extremely clean. Definitely recommend them over and over

The old heat pump died after 21 years. Three technicians removed the old system, outside unit and duck work, than installed a new split system unit in 1 day. I thought that was pretty impressive.

I must say, I was quite impressed. Chris in an "unsales manner" convinced me to buy the top-of-the-line system! He is truly an asset to your firm. I can tell you he certainly upsold the opportunity, to the tune of approximately an additional $7000!

The install crew went above and beyond on all aspects of keeping me informed, with respect to my home and me as well as for sure, knew what they were doing! For all this, I am greatly appreciative. Heather and Julie were looking out for the maintenance agreement and Julie for your $$$$.

Please remind Chris he was going to change my filters. The new system, old filter?? You must be very proud of the company and every right to be!

Fast, Honest, Professional, and On Time! A great experience from start to finish. We called M&B on Friday afternoon due to our main unit dying (it was 15 years old and just couldn't handle the heat anymore). M&B provided an up to date quote, great communication and phone calls during the parts process (they worked all day to secure parts when 5 other major companies in town said it would be up to a week or two to get the equipment, after they sent a tech out for a "quote/site review"). M&B handled it professionally, honest and open about the parts process and secured the parts, and confirmed an installation appointment for Monday - today. They acted fast to ensure our home was back to normal with interior temperatures we could actually live and sleep in. Great Company! Great Technicians! Clean, professional, and did I say on Time already - spot on. We recommend M&B to anyone who needs HVAC work - these guys are awesome! Prices were competitive and very fair.

WARNING! I chose this company based on the reviews when our AC stopped, and unfortunately, I'm back to leave a review to warn others... This company PRICE GOUGES! Our AC tripped off after the pipe was clogged, he cleared the pipe, was at our home for a total of 20 minutes, and we were charged over $500 for the simple service. Not to mention after waiting at home in the time window which, he arrived an hour later with no call to update us, couldn't work his iPad, and lost his phone in our home. I would not recommend this company to a friend. If you do, make sure to ask for the pricing of the service beforehand!

Mike Jordan was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was so polite and patiently answered all my and my Mom’s questions. Definitely going to work with this company again.
