I had high hopes for this one and was disappointed. My washer broke down and I used Sears to schedule a technician to perform diagnostics. They gave me a time slot 8am to 5pm. I actually changed my plans and my schedule to be home so I could meet the technician. Guess what?! He didn't show up. What's more, I suspect he didn't show up because I spoke English on the phone. He called and confirmed the appt and said he was coming, but then, as I was waiting for him in the lobby to let him in, I got a call from Sear answering service telling me I need to reschedule because he can't get into the building after hours (mind you, "after hours" is 4:50pm). When I told the rep I'm waiting in the lobby and there's a doorman on duty till 7pm, she proceeded with another excuse: he can't find parking. Well, I live right above a Pueblo, so there's plenty of parking in the parking lot AND there's street parking. She said she would pass him the message and hung up. And then.... silence. No one called back. No one showed up. I wasted a day waiting. Why, oh why do I keep hoping that US businesses in Puerto Rico would be on time and provide decent customer service? Disappointed EVERY TIME!

Excellent service and response time. Microwave dead at 7pm, called for service appointment around 9pm and was given a next day appointment. Technician arrived around 8:30am and microwave fixed by 10am. By the way, he explained what needed to fixed, parts he was replacing and even connected me to the service guarantee department, at the end of the visit, since I wanted to extend the guarantee some more. Happy customer!

I have paid my warranty service for over 5 years and today breaks the straw my Samsung refrigerator I purchased at Sears broke down for over a year I have had a number of techs come to the house to try to repair it some show up some do NOT! For the past 6 months my refrigerator is broke and sitting in my kitchen not working and I have been waiting for techs to come and repair it ! It’s the same story there’s a part ordered and I can’t come fix it until the part arrives well I always ask to speak to a supervisor and I get DENIED I’ve called Sears Home Servicr Repair the San Juan Number they have me blocked!!! My refrigerator is beyond repair and they know it needs to be replaced, the warranties I renew yearly could have already paid for a new fridge here I am elderly and my husband is elderly as well and we don’t have a fridge we use a small cooler today marks 6 months no Fridge so I recommend everyone not to purchase any Sears Home warranty and do not purchase any Appliances it’s all a Racket and Scheme they Will do anything not to assist you and not to replace any broken appliances!!! STAY AWAY FROM SEARS

We are very happy with the service we recently received.

We are just not satisfied with our refrigerator. We have had numerous repair work done on the appliance and within the last year we have had service on our refrigerator more than 6 times. Thank goodness for the extended warranty we purchased. But for the cost Sears has spent for all the repairs (mainly ice maker and refrigerant), it would have been cheaper under the lemon law to give us a new similar appliance.

Sloppy job. Dryer did not work the day after the repair. I called to file a claim under service warranty (they charged $289 to change a wheel) and they wanted to charge another $89 fee just for the visit to review the issue. I will have to find other options to repair my appliance.

Update: after this was originally posted, I was contacted by Sears Customer Service. They scheduled a visit (this time with no extra charge). It turns out the culprit was the belt (which is tricky to install) had snapped. As I had already figured that out and had bought a replacement, the technician just had to open the dryer and mount it. So because they followed up after the post, and they actually set the belt on the dryer, I’m changing my original one star post to a 3 star.. My dryer is working.. can’t give a review higher than that as one should not have to post a negative review to receive the service that should have been provided from the get-go.

Too expensive. My Kenmore dishwasher won,t complete cleaning cycles. Bought it in sept 2016. Repair quote was $873.90. Decided to get a second opinion. It seems Sears wants you to throw appliance away and buy a new one. Still had to pay 99.00 for useless service. Will not call again. :(

Service representative called me early to confirm appointment, confirmed address and arrived early. Great service consisting of yearly washer and dryer no charge maintenance. He offered me several products sold by Sears and was not pushy trying to make additional sales. Cleaned up the area with his own vacuum cleaner, gave me a receipt, thanked me, and went on his way. Good Job Sears !

The absolute worst.. , The technician read his phone for 20 minutes, never inspected my fridge, then said it would be $1,000 to repair. When in fact it only required a $20 part.. I don't often write reviews, but this was a special level of inept.. Also, he forged my signature on the documents.

The technician provided excellent service. He had the necessary parts and knowledge to quickly fix my washing machine. The only complaint is the waiting time, I had to wait 1 week which caused significant difficulties in a 5 person family.

Bought an extended warranty program and after 1 year my refrigerator has a crack in the interior liner that they say is not covered. The solution... put some glue paste over to try to avoid the crack to grow or, here comes the best, buy a new refrigerator. It made me laugh....corrosion is not covered neither. The water stream of the door dispense is irregular but there's nothing they can do about it.... Well not one of my issues was taken care property. So so sad. Will not buy extended warranty again.
