When I called to schedule an appointment for my father I was told that it was $125 per hour and that we would also have to pay for cleaning supplies which I was given no price for. They cleaned my fathers mini splits for one and a half hours and charged him $407 so I called and I asked why it was so much. It not really 125 per hour it’s 125 per hour +177 an hour if they have to clean your mini splits with their power washer machine. I have no problem paying for cleaning at this rate but I believe that this is some thing that needs to be explained a little bit better when you make the appointment. Overall my father said the guys who came were great and enjoyed their company. In the future it would just be nice to know the exacts as far as pricing goes.
I worked with Boucher HVAC this week for the first time and had a great experience. Positive customer service from the moment I called and spoke to Caitlin. Just before talking with her, I had called a different, local company, who was not helpful and refused my service because I wasn't an oil customer. Caitlin was kind and understanding of my stress (no heat or hot water!) and reassured me that they could handle the fix! She sent Hunter out that same day and he was very knowledgeable, communicative, and thorough. After finding the problem, replacing the broken part, and providing a much overdue cleaning, he took the time to explain the issue in detail and made sure to confirm I felt satisfied with the services he provided. Most importantly, the heat and hot water were back on and have functioning well since. I will most certainly be going back to this company for better routine maintenance of my system now that I better understand how to care for it.

When I questioned Boucher on this I was told that I would need a new reset control (at a cost of over a $1000). Instead of purchasing the new control, I read the manual, corrected the programming error, and my system has operated without trouble ever since. In 2019 I again had Boucher come to my property for a cleaning (they did a good job with the cleaning and tuning last time). This time the technician discovered a legitimate problem with a mixing valve. The link between the actuator and the valve body had broken. It was recommended that the valve be replaced at a cost of several hundred dollars. I instead purchased a replacement link for less than $20 and repaired the problem myself. Now in 2021, I contacted them again for a cleaning and tuning. I was asked about what I had done concerning the valve. I explained that I replaced the broken link. They then refused to provide cleaning and tuning service because I had repaired a "zone valve" myself. I attempted to explain that I hadn't touched any zone valves, that I had simply replaced a link between an actuator and a mixing valve. I wasn't able to fully explain this as the office manager immediately became "huffy" and hung up on me. I was already concerned about using Boucher because of the problem they had caused with my reset control, and because of recommendations for unnecessary repairs. The rude treatment by the office manager is the final piece of the puzzle. My recommendation is that you look elsewhere for help with your HVAC equipment.
Unfortunately I have to update this review from 5 stars to 2 stars. During a severe cold snap, furnace did not work leaving my family without heat for a couple of days. Boucher came over right away to assess problem. Said they couldn't fix it that day and that they needed to give me a quote. This company quoted me over $10k for a new hvac system. I could not afford that. I even tried to get my home warranty company to pay for it...but i couldnt get them to cover it. So I decided to get a second opinion from Koolco. Good thing I did. They fixed my issue got my heat back on with one part that cost me about $230. Which included my emergency house visit fee. 😕 Boucher was responsive. They were professional..They did come to my house right away, BUT they did not fix my problem. I was still left without heat during a very cold winter season. They could've fixed my problem alot sooner and for a much cheaper price. Quoting me over $10k while I was left without heat seemed pretty disingenuous.
Used them with out problems a couple of years ago. But boy is their Internal communication poor. They Changed the time that I had written on my calendar. Called them and was told that visit was 11 rather than 9:30 am.No call at 11. Called them and cancelled them. They did not know what time technician would be free. He had a busy day and further delay was possible. What happened next is incredible.Walked out of my garage and their truck was there? Said he was scheduled for 11am. I said ok. Told me that three office workers schedule jobs. Do they know what they are doing I asked. Do they confirm appointments? Right hand definitely doesn’t know what left hand is doing. Now for the final straw. The technician had me scheduled for an AC inspection. I had requested a gas furnace inspection. He did not have equipment needed to do it. Could get it at shop. Told him to forget it. Nice competent Technicians but hopefully others like myself don’t get caught up with their crazy inner communication problems.
We have been using Boucher for our yearly furnace service for some time now and recently had them install a ductless ac system. They have always been courteous and punctual. The recent install was a breeze and was competed quickly, and we couldn't be happier with how it came out. Will continue to use them in the future.

Boucher HVAC is very professional. AJ visited my home for an evaluation. He was personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately because of the configuration of my existing heating systems (2) the cooling coil would not efficiently fit on top of one of my systems. AJ was honest and upfront. I arrived at my beach house for the first time on Saturday and some of the vents we barely blowing air through them. I shot Melissa an email and she responded very quickly and had someone to my house within an hour to fix the problem. The service I received was exceptional, especially on a hot Saturday! The prices were also very reasonable. I will never use anyone else for my maintenance again! Thanks again guys!
