NW Mechanical installed and continues to maintain heating (forced air & radiant floors) and cooling systems for a custom home we built in 2015. We choose the company because they were recommended by our builder and they have had an excellent long time reputation. We are very pleased with the service that the company provides - excellent follow-up to emails, excellent scheduling communication, intelligent/respectful/competent technicians.

Northwest Mechanical helped us when we built our house 20 years ago and have been servicing us ever since. The mechanics are all very knowledgeable and professional as are the schedulers.

NW mechanical installed our hot water heater. We had an unusual set up and it was tough finding someone who could handle it. They’ve handled routine maintenance. Prompt, knowledgeable, ethical and on time!

"Emergency Service Available 24/7" on the website seems to be inaccurate. My water heater failed overnight, so called them for assistance. First available was several weeks out. When questioned about emergency service, they said not available. Gave me referrals elsewhere.

Best said quoting communication from last week indicating poor customer service- NW Mechanical: "Hello ****, your son **** called yesterday to advise that ***** was experiencing a problem with only having luke-warm water since the maintenance that was recently performed. At that visit, the technician did the maintenance and tested the system and it was working fine when he left. So, with that said, I have him scheduled to come back out on Tuesday, September 13 with an arrival window between 8:00am-8:30am. You can expect a confirmation email the day before to firm up the appointment. At this time we are considering this a “Follow-up” call a deemed billable until further investigation. The trip fee is $146.20 and we’ll collect at the time of the visit." My Response: "Thank you for the communication. I can see how there would still be hot water in the system when the tech did a test at the end of his/her visit, as the temp had not yet had a chance to drop all that much. I had a chance to video call with ***** last night and we spotted a valve that was still in the "off" position post-test/service from last week. I had ****** set that to "on" and Mom's hot water is restored as of today. This is not the first time a valve has been left off following service and is something a video call with ***** and someone on your end would've quickly resolved. I'm deeply concerned about the lack of urgency and dismissal of a potential oversight by the tech. To ask an elderly client to wait two weeks without hot water in her home is unacceptable when there's even the slightest possibility of what actually occurred there last week. Having solved the issue remotely with ***** myself, you may take the 9/13 appointment off your books, and we'll no longer be needing the services of NW Mechanical. I will begin searching for another company that I can trust to provide the service I expect for her." It should also be said that there was no apology or attempt to fix the relationship.

NW Mechanical is our go to place forever. We’ve used them before and they are very professional, knowledgeable, reliable and reasonable in their pricing. Aaron was our boiler expert. He was amazing he installed and fixed our problem and even instructed me on how to adjust the flow on some of our old radiators. I would highly recommend!

Used nw mechanical for boiler repair in the past. Called up for an emergency and they refused to service our home because it's been "over a year and we only service customers we've serviced in the past year."

*We have a (new to me) boiler whole house system and have been using NW Mechanical now for 2 years, they are without a doubt experts at taking care of our heating system. I signed up for the yearly maintenance program for peace of mind and we have them out once a year to proactively maintain and test things. Running tip top and their techs are SUPER knowledgeable. Great outfit!

Chris came to inspect our 30 year old boiler and thermostats. We had been having a heat fluctuating issue. He was very informative and showed me the batteries that are in the thermostat that I had no idea were there. Of course they were dead after 30 years but they kept the connection between the thermostat and the boiler and were calling for heat even after the desired temperature was reached. New batteries and we are back in business. We will have Chris come in a month and do a full boiler inspection and update. We were impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Pricing was reasonable also.

Even though we were not able to do business to repair my boiler, Kathy was able to help me with tips and referrals. She later called back to see if I still needed assistance and if I was able to resolve my problem. She gave that personal touch that every customer should get from every business. Thanks, Kathy!

I had an issue with my electric baseboard heaters. Kyle came out, inspected the system for 15 minutes and informed me that the job would require a grade 6 electrician rather than a grade 1. He proceeded to charge me $160 for the appearance fee and left. I would not recommend them at all and have to contact another electrician and pay another appearance fee to actually fix the issue.

Just had a heat pump installed, replacing our gas furnace in a very old home. They were great from start to finish. Informative estimate, including what options were available and which they would recommend, and the work happened right on the schedule they set up. The installer, Brendan, was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job adapting our old forced air system to the new heat pump. Kept the place clean, and kept us informed. They also represent Mitsubishi heat pumps, which are very quiet inside and outside. We're happy, and recommend these folks for this type of work.

We had a terrible experience with the service! We came all the way from three hours away for the one o’clock appointment. The guy came earlier for the appointment 12:04 instead of one o’clock. We came back from less than ten minutes away. They canceled my appointment for the day. It wasted my whole day for nothing!!!!!

We had a complicated radiant heat system in our new home and Steve did a great job figuring out the problems and solving them. I would highly recommend this company! (And Steve was great too!)

Kyle was prompt, professional, friendly and on time. He was thorough and quickly diagnosed the problem with my on-demand hot water system ( for hot water and radiant heat). He clearly explained what had happened and what needed to be done to resolve the issue. He also detected a natural gas leak in the heat exchange unit, which saved us from potential disaster. When I elected to replace the system Kyle rearranged his schedule so that he could perform the replacement. He was concerned that we had no hot water or heating, so he wanted to perform the replacement without delay.
