Overall we had a great experience with Home Energy Group installing our heat pump, ductless, and split duct system. It was a stressful couple of weeks with a couple of contractor accidents like a roofing truck crushing a section of our driveway and someone with Home Energy Group falling in the attic and putting his foot right through the entryway ceiling and adding a few scuffs to the corner walls and doors bringing in materials. The owner called immediately to apologize and make it right by bringing in a drywall team who redid the entire entryway and hallway ceiling to guarantee that we wouldn't notice the hole, which was amazing. The main constructive feedback I have is please don't rush the job and do treat the home with full care during the installation process. With the cost of HVAC services shooting up so high in the last few years, it's very important. They did handle it very well and we understand that accidents happen. In the end, the system works very well so far and the team was very good at answering our questions throughout the process.
I called Home Energy Group when my furnace stopped working on the coldest day of the year and I was stranded in an icebox of a home. They sent a technician (Jesse) to my house 30 minutes later to troubleshoot and fix it. I can’t say enough great things to say about them! Professional, fixed the problem, even took a minute to play tug of war with my pup before heading out! 10/10 would recommend and use again!
Be sure and get a bid. Do not say go ahead and do the job. You will be over charged. Dennis Frank
Jesse the technician even came early (he called first) and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly! He was very friendly, knowledgeable and an awesome person to deal with! The front end staff were very helpful and explained a lot about the thermostat etc! Great company!
We used Home Energy Group to install a new furnace and AC unit a couple of years ago and they did a fantastic job. Today I had trouble with my AC unit and Ed came right out and quickly found the problem, fixed it and didn't charge me a penny! This company has been so easy to deal with and always comes out quickly and is very pleasant to work with. Couldn't be happier with them!

The tech, Ed, did a great job. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. He quickly diagnosed the issue and had my AC up and running quickly.
After just using Home Energy Group for our AC repair, we will never go though another HVAC company again. They absolutely blow their competition out of the water. Their response time, pricing, and customer service are unbeatable. HVAC issues are never fun, but they really took the pain out of the process and we had a great experience. Can't recommend them enough.
We decided to replace our close to 30 year old Natural Gas furnace with a new one and AC to our home. I worked with 5 different contractors to see about price and relationship. One thing that I learned with this process is that 9 time out of 10, the installer is the most important part of the equipment that you select. The team at HEG helped me understand all aspects of the research that I had done. They arrived and the crew was very professional and got to work immediately. The safely removed the old system from our home and proceeded to ensure that at least the furnace was installed before they left for the 1st day. The next day they continued their work. Crews cleaned up after themselves and were very communicative, which is very important to me. They finished the furnace and the AC on the second day and performed a Duct Leak Test as well. This information gave me info on how to improve my home energy efficiency even more. This was great. I'm very impressed with the work they did and do plan to continue to use them for other needs in the future.
We used Home Energy Group for our first replacement heat pump, and were very pleased. Years later, as we recently received estimates for our second replacement heat pump, Jason at HEG made our decision easy. It was so refreshing to not have a 'hard sell'! Jason was very matter-of-fact, and was the only one of five estimates that gave me exactly the information that I had requested from each of the five. As a result, HEG installed a York heat pump for us, and we couldn't be happier with it's performance! If you live anywhere even close to Vancouver (I live in Battle Ground), you owe it to yourself to include HEG in your estimates if you are in the market for a heat pump!
I have used other companies to perform a routine maintenance on my equipment and they came up with extra charges every time. This company did the requested work, without "finding" things to fix, and even went so far as to spray off my AC unit. I didn't know that's part of maintenance until they did it, prompting me to look up basic services on AC maintenance. The fee is somewhat discounted on maintenance when you have both AC and furnace checked in the same visit, versus seperately. I'm always for saving money. This is where the problem began. The entire company computer system was down when they were here, meaning I couldn't pay at the time of visit...as expected. I did end up having a billing issue, with not receiving any follow up phone calls or mail reminders and mentioned this in my original review. The owner, Brian, reached out shortly after for me to contact him to make it right. He went above and beyond anything I expected. I appreciate that he took time to explain the current procedures and how they will be changing, as a result of my experience, for the better. In a world of cold convenience with no human touch, this was a welcome respite and I will happily continue to give this company my business.
I called on a Saturday and talked to Ed. I did not buy my unit from this company but he was familiar with the brand and common issues. He diagnosed a problem that had been plaguing my house for over a week in less than 5 minutes and spared us the weekend service fee. I will be using this company from now on for all of my HVAC needs. Super friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you so much again!!
We are new to the Vancouver, WA area and purchased a home needing remodeling. Home Energy Group installed a new Mitsubishi whole house HVAC system. They arrived quickly to quote our project, returned in 4 days with all the required equipment, and completed the job in 3 days. Their professionalism and attention to detail is only surpassed by the respect they showed by protecting surfaces, cleaning up after themselves, installing supply vents and returns in difficult to access but perfectly placed locations. Tye with Home Energy Group just came to our home for our quarterly HVAC service and I was so pleased with both him and the service! He was on time, friendly, wore his mask (even over his nose!), physically distanced, and explained the various items in his evaluation notes. I would highly recommend Home Energy Group and Tye. I can’t say enough about how polite, friendly and efficient the crew were. They were on time and cleaned up. Our mini-splits are right where we need them and we are ready to enjoy a comfortable winter. We are glad to support local companies and be able to say That everything was very professional
Amazing service. The capacitor on our AC unit was broken, and Home Energy Group was out the same day. Technician Ed solved the problem immediately. While he was there, I asked him to take a look at the air flow in my oldest son's room. I knew that room wasn't getting nearly as much air as the rest of our rooms, as it was always way hotter than the rest, but was told by a different company that the air flow was perfect, and that the room was just going to "be like that" because it got a lot of sun. Ed agreed with me that the airflow was inadequate, and easily fixed the problem. Now my son can sleep in his room without the fan on. I really appreciated this company for being on time, fixing my problems, providing adequate explanations for their work, and for being transparent about their pricing. The ONE thing I would change is I wish their technicians wore booties in the house. Overall, great service and we will definitely use them again.
These guys have done great work over the past few years on our HVAC system and gas fireplace. I especially appreciate their subscription service where they contact me in the spring to do yearly maintenance on my air conditioner and then in the fall for our heater. Highly recommend them!
