After dealing with A/C issues on a new home, I decided to Google a company and get help. Like alot of past experiences I was expecting a long wait time, limited availability and crazy charges just to come out and diagnose. I saw Sylvia's was nearby my residence and felt that might help. I couldn't have been any more correct and lucky for calling such a great company.if I could, i would give 10 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bob answered the phone and was immediately great and polite answering my many confusion questions. After mentioning I lived near by he offered to stop by the same day and was at my residence in less than 15 minutes. He diagnosed my issues and found out what the issue was and was very transparent while educating me on the issue possible fixes and pricing. Throughout the visit he was polite very kind and interacted with my family like a friend. The next day he came out with Brian who was also the best and got right to work refilling my FRION and fixing a leak. Got a new thermostat installed and he even measured my indoor filters after noticing I had none installed and I didn't even realize it. He also did preventative maintenance to ensure I was well taken care of and Icouldn't be any happier Since summer is right around the corner. I will recommend Silvia's to everyone that needs A/C and heating fix.
Worst experience ever!!! He overcharged me for a part and my system still doesn’t work. Now he doesn’t want to respond to my calls or text messages.
I called so early in the morning to troubleshoot a thermostat and the heating for our house since it shut downed all of a sudden. This gentlemen, Bob, (business/service owner) walk me through the phone and had our system up and running in no time. Didn’t charge me with anything. I’m glad we still have good people around the area. My family of 4 with a 6 month old baby girl are thankful for your assistance sir! Our house feels comfortable again after all the moving. Definitely, keeping you on our list for HVAC services in the future and recommend your service.
I was having some issues with my thermostat and/or furnace on Sunday afternoon and after searching for a technician with availability to come out and see what was going on and I called Silva's and the gentleman who came out 1. I got super lucky and he was here in less than 20 minutes on a Sunday morning 2. He had such a pleasant and colloquial aura 3. His customer service is top freaking notch! Although we were not able to fix the issue after troubleshooting, clearing the drain, cleaning the flame sensor, he recommended another business and I just think that is highly honorable. Some businesses want to keep business to themselves and here he recommended another business. Top notch customer service and integrity is Mr Silva's middle name. I had to give him a hug before he left!
I’ve tried other companies and they all told me they couldn’t come within a week.. Decided to call one last person around 10AM and they came within 2 hours. They are SO friendly and really did help me out a lot! 10/10 recommend!!!
Called him when our 6 month old hvac unit installed by Michael and Son was not heating our house. After back and forth with Michael and son they would not send a tech out until 3 days later. After a 5 minute conversation with Mr Silva he came over diagnosed the problem with our unit and said it would have to be repaired with the warranty. Mr Silva came on his day off and tried to get us back up and running. I wish I had dealt with him in the first place . Highly recommend this company!
We had no heat due the incompetence of Virginia Natural Gas. I called Silva and they came right out after hours and saved the day! I would recommend these guys to anyone!! Excellent customer service, professional, and friendly!
After going through my warranty people. I had to wait two weeks for someone to come out to fix or even look at my AC unit. The people that came out to look at my AC unit took 20 minutes to tell me that my compressor was bad so my home warranty company would not cover due to the AC unit being less than two years old. I called Silva’s Heat and Air and they came right out the next day and Brian May took all the time needed (2 hours) to get my AC working again and the problem wasn’t even the compressor it was the wiring. I am very thankful for them. I will definitely be using them again and referring others.
Silvia’s AC Repair was prompt answering calls on a Sunday afternoon, asked questions to narrow down issue, and was on site 1.5 hours after my call. My father’s AC was working expeditiously. I would recommend his service to everyone as he helped my elderly father! Thank You!!

Mr. Silva helped me over the phone on a Sunday evening at 8:00pm at night troubleshoot my HVAC system and figure out why it was not working. Within 30 minutes we had the system back up and running. I cannot express how grateful I am for his help and expertise. For this man to help me out and not even personally know me or ever being a previous customer, says alot about his character as a technician and a owner. I would recommend This company for anyone in need of any HVAC work. Thank you again Sir.
After calling and getting answering service after answering service I called Sylvia's and Bob picked up immediately. It was a real person and better than that he was out to my place less than 30 minutes on a Saturday. I'm so thankful for this place. It saved my day and weekend. I highly recommend and will no longer be searching for a hvac person. I've found my person and company to service and will gladly support this business. Highly recommend!
I cannot put into words how thankful I am for Mr. Silva and Brian. I was in a hot 90 degree house for 3 days until I made the call. Out of the 30 places that I called this was the most informative and helpful. My Hvac system was old and was literally out of commission. This team went OUT of their way to assist me and to get my A/C back up and running. I am so grateful that I was able to spend my birthday in an air conditioned home. THANK YOU BRIAN & MR. Silva !!
I needed a float switch installed in my unit. Since it wasn't urgent, they asked if they could work me in within the next few days. They had excellent communication, were polite, knowledgeable, and even answered a few questions I had about upgrading my system later. Price was great! I highly recommend them and have already added them to my contacts.
I cannot express how nice Bob and Brian were, they were very professional, knowledgeable and kind! I had no appointment, I called because I tried to install a thermostat myself and ran into a bump in the road, they squeezed me in and came by and fixed me right up! I highly recommend them and will only be calling them for my HVAC needs!
My air conditioner stopped working. Blowing out warm air. Found Silva's Heat and Air online. Just by reading different reviews on every repair service. Problems with capacitors. Didn't take no time to repair. Service was great. Will definitely recommend. Thank you so much Mr. Silva.
Called at 830 on a Sunday night because my air wasn't working. Bob was at my house within an hour and had everything fixed in no time. So grateful!
