Cannot say enough things about Travis at pride! A big name company tried to bamboozle me into buying a 12K unit. Travis diagnosed and repaired my very minor thermostat issue under 15 minutes!! I have found my forever AC tech for sure!!
Wow! Travis and Steve are amazing!! I had RS Andrews out to figure out what was wrong with my unit and they just determined it was dirty! RS Andrew’s Quoted me $1650!!! to just clean the unit! When I shared that information with Travis you could see the shock on his face. This company really cares for their customers. Travis was able to identify the issue with our AC unit that RS Andrew’s did not even find. RS Andrews would have just charged me all that money for the same issue to come back. Travis and Steve really saved me here and worked to fix the issue. These guys are the real deal. If you are reading this review and are uncertain, I implore your to give these guys a call! You will not regret it. Thank you so so much guys!! I will only be calling you all with any AC related issues!
I cannot recommend Pride Mechanical enough. I manage over 70 rentals in Hampton Roads and they are ALWAYS my first call. They go out same day or next and always fix the issue quickly and have unbeatable pricing. I've had to call other companies before because the homeowner used them to install the system within a year or two and I am shocked at their greed and lack of knowledge. Do yourself a favor and call Pride Mechanical first!
Got an appointment quick, and Travis was extremely friendly, helpful, and had us back up and running in a few hours with a new blower motor! Great troubleshooting to find the problem and quick to get the parts for us. Would highly recommend Pride Mechanical!
This company is fantastic. They are extremely responsive, honest, and reliable. We have old units, and they have them chugging along with their yearly maintenance. I’ve had to call for repair twice in my time with them, and BOTH times they got me on the schedule the day I called. I am very pleased and highly recommend using them for their HVAC services!

The best of the best! Pride came out the same day for 3 service calls and fixed my heating and air con, immediately! They guarantee all of their work, even if they have to tidy up other contractors' shotty jobs. Travis was my technical, and he talked me through every scenario to make my system work again (it ended up being the condenser). Travis provided everything my homeowners' insurance needed on the spot and warranteed my system for me later that day (wow!). This company will save you money. They are the greatest contractor I have dealt with as a home owner.
I love how Pride Mechanical is family owned. There is nothing like having the owner of the company work on your HVAC unit or install a new HVAC unit you. They stand behind their work. They do their very best to make sure you are aware of your options for a repair or replacement. I recommend them to all my family and friends.
After an inspector from another company who was supposed to just be checking out our AC left us with no heat (was fine before they touched anything) Travis from Pride came through and was immediately able to figure out the issue and help us to understand what was going on. Cannot thank him enough and will be calling him again for any future issues, checks, or repairs. Thank you so much Travis!
My furnace quit working right when it became very cold and windy. I googled the best gas furnace company and found these guys on yelp. After reading their great reviews, I decided to call them and they were able to come out the very next morning. Travis was super friendly and informative and had my furnace running again in no time at all. He didn’t try to sell me something that I didn’t need, which I loved. Finding a trustworthy company isn’t always easy to do. I loved the service so much and finding out that his parents own the company gave me a great feeling too. I decided to sign up for their 2x/year cleaning plan that includes discounted rates in between cleanings. I definitely highly recommend Pride Mechanical for your furnace needs.

Our heater wasn’t working. Called and got an appointment first thing the next morning. The owner and someone who looked like he was in training arrived. They wore little footies so they don’t drag mud in the house. Nice touch. Got the heater working in no time. Said it was some debris build up and recommended running the heater during the summer once in a while to keep it clear.
I found Pride mechanical on google. I needed an ac repair as start up and shut off were very loud. Turns out my capacitor was going bad. That was fixed with some rattling issues also in the unit. I'm very happy with the service and professionalism. Signed up for the maintenance plan. Definately recommend.
First let me just say I have had some really dishonest Ac companies come out in the past, so needless to say I was skeptical about who I called next. I happened to see on internet someone recommended this company so I looked at the reviews and they looked really good. My unit had the old freon and the compressor was over 10 years old. I decided to give them a call and Travis came out and gave me an estimate on a new unit, I liked his kind, friendly presence and the way they sent the estimate on line and broke everything down as far as what they would do. I decided to take a chance. They are kind great people and the paper work is impeccable on line - and in a bag ( they gave me a neat bag with all paperwork in order, several nice free items also, I was so surprised . The appointments are spot on and quick. They are clean and thorough with their work from beginning to end. I am impressed and happy to say the least. My new unit is purring like a kitten. They are good about explaining things and they do it with a smile. This is a small company Steve- owner ( doing this for 30 years) Travis-son and two other guys. His wife and another lady are the ones answering the phones and they do an excellent job. I feel good about this company!! Honesty in today's world is essential and I think I found that in this company thank the good Lord. Thank you Steve, family and your other couple guys for your kind service. I appreciate it more than you know.
After dealing with 3 other companies that American Home Shield sent that did absolutely nothing for the same issue we had every year for 3 years we said forget AHS & called on Pride Mechanical to handle our issue being that they did amazing work at or last residents years ago. They are very reliable, friendly, knowledgeable & get the job done with amazing results.
Travis and Eli were awesome! Super professional and taught me things about the system for future reference. Definitely recommend and have them on speed dial now!
Travis the tech showed up on time despite the heavy rain. Did his magic on the exterior AC unit and the result was very good. He'll come back to do a thorough maintenance on the entire HVAC system in the near future. Give these guys a try. You won't be disappointed.
This is the second time I have had them come out because they are the best! Last summer they came out within an half hour of me calling them! Everyone is super kind and personable, as if you have known them for years. The men who came out didn't mind that I was juggling little babies and a dog. They were sweet to all of us which totally made my day. I would highly recommend them a million times over! Great job and thank you!
