This company is a SCAM of a company. They are liars and will scam you out of your hard earned money. Look up their articles on wavy tv if you want to see for yourself.

Lies, lies, lies!!! Installed new heating and AC unit. Wasn't distributing the air evenly so half the house was hot and half cold. Antwain sold me on a new duct system as that was supposed to make a HUGE improvement in the air distribution. The problem was not helped after spending a total of over $11,000 on their equipment and labor. Antwain finally agreed I needed a bigger unit; they had misjudged what was required. I could never get him to come and install even though he said it was purchased, delivered and sitting in his building. He was spread thin due to all the work they had lost from unacceptable work and only had 1 helper. By the time I thought we were going to have the equipment finally installed I could not get in touch with anyone at the office or Antwain's cell. It appeared they had gone out of business. During this entire time my husband and sister, who were both 100% disabled with low resistance, were getting colds, bronchitis, etc. due to the inadequate cooling and/or heating. Antwain was aware of our situation and still lied and avoided us like the plague. Great way to treat a 100% Disabled American Veteran and his family...NOT!!!

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with, charged a lot of money never to completed the job didn’t show up for appointments just terrible!! If you do business with them God help you.

This company installed a gas water heater in my home. I had my home evaluated for a new air conditioning system on July 2019. The workers from the new company found out that my gas water tank was releasing carbon monoxide in the attic. The company never had the tank inspected after the job. Anytime a job in your home consist of gas or plumbing, it requires an inspection after the job. This company did not practice the appropriate requirements for city codes. Please be mindful that an inspection is required for jobs in the home. This company is dangerous with their practices. The releasing of carbon monoxide could have killed my famil and this was going on fo a long time. Please do research before hiring and this company was referred through a home warranty. Practice safety and research.

Bad, bad, bad company. Appear to be out of business. Premises all locked up at 9:30am on Jan 22nd. Do not answer the phone. Removed AND DID NOT REPLACE heat strips from my heat pump and it will now cost me $700 to have another company put new ones in! I would give them ZERO stars if possible.

Another update: over 6 months later and these people are still haunting me. Mr. Chatman did not pay my home warranty the 100 dollars that I paid him for the deductible. Leaving me to pay twice for the same job that he DIDNT DO. He is currently in lawsuits with multiple homeowners. Mr. Chatman, I know you are reading this. You are a crook and there is a special place for people like you. After looking through the reviews, it is clear that I have the same problem that others have. I called my home warranty on Monday to repair my air condition. The same day, HCEC called me to tell me they were coming Wednesday. I took off work and waited all day for him to show up at 430, after my promised window. I had to call them to find out when they would be coming as they did not call me to tell me they would be late. The tech came out and told me I needed a whole new unit and that the home warranty would have that paperwork by the following day at 3. That was Thursday. It is now Saturday and he STILL hasn't submitted the paperwork...72 hours later. My home warranty has called to request it three times and I have also left a message. It has now been a week with no ac. And all we need is a piece of paper that states it needs replaced and what size and type.... Edited to add: 8 days after the initial claim to them and 6 days after they came out, the paperwork was submitted but not complete. They never wrote down some model numbers. The home warranty assured me that they would call me that afternoon to schedule the tech to come back out to get the model numbers. They never did. I called them the following day and the lady had no idea apparently and couldn't get a hold of the contractor. Again, several phone calls from the home warranty and me, finally the tech comes out again. I chose the cash out option and took a large hit out of pocket and got an entire new heating and cooling system. Needless to say, HCEC lost an 8 grand job because of the hassle and lack

Unprofessional, bad quality, the technician did not fix properly my water heater and I my water repair needs repair again. The same problem came again in less than 30 days. I wasted my money and when I made an appointment in advance for December 5, 2019. The appointment time frame was from 9am-1pm. They never came to my house to repair my water heater. I wait all morning and the entire whole day to later on received a email at 4pm sorry we still working on another repair. They dont respect clients time, unprofessional, dont have education and all and not experience. I don’t recommended for any type of job. Bad experience.

Had hvac system installed less than a year ago. Will not cool home. Had appointment between 8-12. No call no show. Will have to pay a different company to come out and fix their mess. Extremely unprofessional.

DO NOT EVER HIRE HCEC GROUP!!!!!! The Keystone Cops were in town. The team was comprised of the incompetent buffoons at HCEC Group and the leadership at First American Home Warranty (FAHW). I was without a functioning HVAC system for 31 days; me a 100% disabled veteran with one lung. HCEC Group is quick to point their finger at FAHW who, in turn, is quick to point their finger at HCEC Group. Here's what I know-- Antwain (the owner at HCEC Group, lied to me twice, has absolutely no customer service skills, is quick to beat his chest and announce how he is going to do things (when his employees are around or engaged in a conference call) but fails miserably at execution, and can not pick up the phone to tell the customer when there are changes (I lost count of how many times they changed the plan). His company failed to submit the original estimate within prescribed (48 hours) timelines to FAHW, and will never show up at the front-end of their scheduled arrival windows (they always show up at the end of the window or call you at the end of the window to tell you they have to reschedule). They also will damage your property and leave the work area a disaster....they actually damaged finished wall surfaces and ground rust and metal debris into my epoxy garage floor. The technicians were bolting for their truck when I stopped them to ask about cleanup. Their response, "Well. I guess we could probably clean it up"...obviously from that response it was never their intent to clean up the area. Oh....and the piece de resistance was the demand for payment for non-covered items before work had started which is the company policy. This gives the customer ZERO LEVERAGE to make them take care of the customer's property and to clean up. THIS COMPANY SHOULD NEVER BE TRUSTED!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Antoine came out last November or December as my furnace would not come on. Right off he noticed there was a loose wiring connection. Some might have just used it as a way to sell an expensive job, but Antoine was honest... thus was averted what most owners hate...a high HVAC repair bill.

I was connected with my home warranty company. The person that came to service our outside unit was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything and fixed our capictor on our outside unit very quickly. I Would definitely recommend. Reason for 4 stars is because at first we had a little miss communication on scheduling other then that everything was great.

Horrible horrible company that does not honor their warranty!!! My roommate spent $8,600 on a new HVAC system that was installed 18 April 2018 by HCEC. Weather has started to warm so I turned on AC system but outside unit did not turn on. This was on 12 April 2019. After no one answered the phone for 4 days we contacted Simmons Heating and Air and had someone there the following day. While Simmons repair guy was there, HCEC finally called us back after 5 days total. Simmons repairman stated that it was a bad install and that all of the freon leaked out as a result of poor soldering of the copper pipes. HCEC said that repair man would be at our house the following day between 0800 and 1200 but he didn't show until 8 p.m. without a phone call! Repair man said that cost would be $450 to refill the system and repair the leak. I expressed my disagreement that my roommate was going to be charged for labor and parts since it was their poor work that caused the issue. He stated that he would talk to his service manager and would return on that Saturday (which was 2 days away) to complete the job. I called on Friday to ensure that we were on the schedule and they confirmed the repairman would arrive between 8-12 and to call by 10 if the repairman hadn't shown up. I called at 1030 that Saturday morning and HCEC stated we were still on the schedule but would be later than my appointment. Repairman never showed! I've contacted Simmons today and a repairman will arrive this afternoon to fix HCEC's mess-up. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY (HCEC)!! THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY!!!!!!

Absolute worst! Came to my home, made diagnosis, neglected to send info to home warranty company, once the home warranty company finally got them on the phone Antwain said he didnt have model or serial number, but it was clearly on the copy of the diagnosis he sent me - LAZINESS! Never ever use this company.

I was connected with HCEC through my warranty company. They said a technician would be over between 2 and 4 and would call 30 minutes prior to getting here. I received the call at 4:10 which wasn’t a huge deal. The tech was very professional and able to fix the issue I had contacted my warranty company about and also helped switch out my thermostat. I see some bad reviews, but that was definitely not my experience with them.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They were very quick to take my money to install a new HVAC system but only months later when the season changed and heat was required, the unit failed. The heat ran constantly, ignoring all heating limits, even when the unit was in the “off” position. HCEC came to inspect and acknowledged a faulty part that needed to be replaced. They disconnected my system and that was the last I heard from them. It’s been over two months later, I’ve placed dozens of calls to the HCEC office and I still can’t get a call back from them. Occasionally I get a hold of a receptionist but it’s the same answer, I need to look into it and call you back. Guess what, never a call back. I was initially referred to them through Home Advisor. Home Advisor even stepped in and was successful in contacting the owner, however the owner (Mr. Antwain Chatman) told them he wasn’t interested in honoring my warranty or resolving my issue. Home Advisor has since kicked HCEC off their site. This should be a clear sign NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY. Read other reviews, I should have done more homework myself. Other customers have had similar problems, in face a few have already taken HCEC to court. DO NOT USE THEM. ANTWAIN CHATMAN IS A SHADY BUSINESS MAN.
