Repaired GFI and outdoor receptacle
Bud’s did our plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system. We are very happy with the work and professionalism of all of the technicians that worked on the house.
My ac capacitor was out and Hunter came out and fixed it quickly. He explained the whole process, checked for a warranty, and was amazing!
They never showed up.

I wanted to compliment Buds crew who installed a new a/c unit and a furnace reinstall. Brice, Johnathan & Andre were the crew that did the job and did an excellent job.. It took several hours and when finished the job site was cleaned up and I had a brand new a/c unit. Thank you guys and Buds Heating & Air for a job I was very nervous about having done. We have used Bud's for several years and are always pleased with their services. They installed a whole house generator several years ago. Today they disconnected the electricity from an old alarm system in the house.
My AC unit's compressor started to fail. Bud's did a great job analyzing my needs and presenting options for me. When I decided to replace the unit instead of repairing the unit they gave me several options and did no try to oversell. In the end I got a new Bosch system that is amazing. They were also able to schedule my install relatively quickly once I made my decision. Best of all was their professionalism. It was great having techs, office personnel, and comfort advisors all willing to talk with me to help me get the information I needed each step of the way. Not once did I feel like they were in a hurry to get to the next customer. They went above and beyond explaining details and listening to my concerns. They even waived the off hours service call charge I had prior to my decision to replace the unit. Which I felt was more than fair.
Buds is a full service HVAC business operating in the Tidewater area for many years that provides professional and quality new installation and required service for heating and air conditioning units. I have used Buds for 12 years of service, and replacement of our complete HVAC unit.Words can not express the professionalism of their technical and office staff.
Joshua and his Minion were FANTASTIC. Easy to talk to explained what he was doing, if you were interested. Not only was he able to fix the problem, install a new compressor, but he talked, joked and laughed while he was doing it. More technicians need to be able to do what Josh does. The entire process was painless and I had a good time talking with them. I would recommend Bud's Plumbing and Heating to anyone that needs work done. Especially if Josh was the one doing the work. And I wish his Minion all the luck in the world as he prepares to take his HVAC License test...
Jared did an amazing job figuring out the issue with why our A/C wasn’t working. We just moved into this house and did not expect an issue so soon but Jared figured it all out and got us cool again in no time!
Quinn and his partner came a day early after having a cancellation, and were very friendly, fast and efficient. I highly recommend their services!
Bud's has provided our HVAC maintenance for many years and recently installed a new dual system. Our overall experience has always been pleasant. Their staff is very personable, knowledgeable and professional. We highly recommend them and will continue to use the services they provide.
HVAC Install
Updated review: Service tech came out on Friday fixed the issue . . . It was chilly out so i turned my ac off. Turned it on Monday and my house continued to warm up. Called had tech come out Wednesday bc the air blowing is not cold. I have my system on to test it an hour later and it has gone up a degree. I will now have to call another company and be charged again to have someone fix it. The tech was polite and on time both times but still having the same issue $700 later.
