My outdoor AC unit starting making a loud rubbing noise and was no longer cooling properly. I called Johnston Cooling and Heating at 8:40a.m. Yes, they actually answered the call. No message needed to be left. Took my information and estimated that someone could be there by 1:00-4:00. Received a phone call from the tech (Joseph) around 2:00 letting me know when he would arrive. Arrived right on time with the estimate of 3:00p.m. Took a look, and identified the problem and ran diagnostic tests to make sure there was nothing else going on. By this time it was 4:00-4:15p.m. Everyone knows quitting time/COB is around 5:00p.m. Joseph went, got the parts, came back and replaced the motor and capacitor. Didn't leave until close to 6:15p.m. So... they picked up the phone, gave an estimated time of arrival window, beat that time, found/fixed the problem. Gave an initial quote, and ended up billing me a little less then the quote. Joseph was amazing, polite, caring, knowledgeable, committed, and thorough. I can't say enough about him. How do you beat that? Johnston Cooling and Heating has earned my repeat business. Thank you kindly. And our furry critters that were overheating thank you as well! ~ Joseph, you rock.
The team, led by Jason, put in two mini splits for us. Their estimate was lower than a competitor's and accurate to what they ended up charging, even when the job took longer than expected. They also came back several weeks later when we had a slight issue with one of the units. Would definitely recommend.
Joseph Masters showed up at our home very shortly after I called your office and was very professional about the job he did on our heat pump unit and was really knowledgeable about the system. He finished his work in a short time and was very neat about the job.
This company is very unprofessional. They are targeting a single mom who just had to borrow diapers for her child. And yet they are saying I owe money for supposedly having service a year ago. When I never even had service done. I'm not sure how they got my information or if someone is committing fraud but this is ridiculous. They won't even work with me to figure it out. They just want your money. Just watch out is all I'm saying. Edit: They decided not to take me to the credit agency which is very helpful. So I will be trying to pay it off in the future. Thank you guys.
I like this company a lot since they were very professional and honest! The Tech was also professional and the best part was that they did not rip me off like other companies!
Great guys! Outside heat pump iceing up, guy came to check was here over an hour trying to figure out; the panel #s didn't correspond with what was supposed to be in machine but it has not iced up again. Regular maintenance scheduled 4/12/21. Good company and great very polite and pleasant employees.
Jason, asisted by Hunter, did an excellent job repairing my system. Jason diagnosed the problems and corrected the installation issues done previously and incorrectly by another company. They replaced the heat pump unit's compressor and installed dual heat equipment/sensors. They did a great job recharging the system and made sure the entire system was up and running in a timely manner, all during one of their busiest times, the week before Christmas. I greatly appreciate their expertise and diligence in the repairs and installations, in addition to the clear and concise answers to my many questions. I highly recommend Johnston Cooling and Heating for any of your air and heat needs.

I highly recommend Johnston Cooling and Heating. They scheduled and contacted me when they were enroute. Kaleb was very professional and was quick to fix the two issues with my AC. He explained in detail how the unit works and the cost was very reasonable.
Overpriced and Unprofessional Technician was late, on his phone, left a mess, and the cost was HIGH. My experience began with the technician being 3 hours late. My appointment was between 6pm - 7:30pm and the technician showed up at 9:00. The issue was my evaporator coils had frozen over, and we wanted to make sure the issue didn’t reoccur. The entire visit the technician was constantly on his phone texting and even placed a phone call to his girlfriend while he was “working.” The technician cleaned the evaporator and LEFT the mess on the floor. Didn’t even bother to take care of it which is very unprofessional. Lastly, the price cost $180 which I found overpriced. The technician was late, left a mess, and was constantly on his phone, and all he did was clean off the coil which was not time consuming. I would not recommend this company.
The service technician replaced a relay in my system. He was professional and completed the installation quickly. He gave me information about my system that was clear and easy to understand.
Everyone at Johnston Heating and Air made the installation of a new heat pump a smooth process. The price was very competitive, and all the service people were knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend this company for all heating and air services.
Amazing hard working people , not just they did great work and hep me tremendously, they also advised me on how maintain and keep clean my ac components and saved me bunch of money . Other companies wanted to replace my AC and they were going to charge me around $5-$6K but not these ppl. For $85 they fixed my problem and brought my AC back to life . Very honest and I’ll use them again
These guys were great. It was a pleasure to have them work with me. Very prompt on the call back this morning. I definitely will use them in the future for any maintenance on cooling and heating.
Couldn't have been a better experience. I got three quotes for a new HVAC system. Not the least expensive but these guys worked with me super well. They formed and poured an extension to the concrete pad as I requested when others wanted to only put down small concrete pads, resulting in a much more professional look and finish. They also helped me select a humidifier add-on system. It works great for preventing dry air in the winter. All of the work was done on time and efficiently. Thanks guys.
I’ve had Jason and his team to my home for air conditioning problems, and radiators heating efficiently. I’ve been super happy with getting things taken care of at my home each time. Even when it wasn’t Jason himself, I really trusted the professionals that he had hired as well. Thank you guys for keeping my home heated and cool, I appreciate you guys!!!!
Our A/C went out. I made several calls to repair companies. I went on home advisors to look for a repair companies. Once I finished entering my information and got my results one of the companies I left a message for called me back. I set up a appointment for two days from today. Short while after that Johnston cooling and heating called and asked if I would like someone to stop by today. I was like wow that would be great. Johnston already had tech in my area. They came when they said would be. The tech had my A/C unit within 15 min. I had great service from the tech. I will use Johnston cooling and heating again.
Bought a nest thermostat. Had problem controlling secondary heat source. Hired different company. They could not figure out secondary heating source problem. Heat bills were very high. Called Johnston Cooling and Heating. Serviceman was very methodical and patient in working through the problem and eventually fixed it. Reduced the power bill, good for us, not as good for power company.
Technician Nick just serviced our HVAC system and was fantastic! Always polite, respectful and professional. I highly recommend them.
