Karl and his crew did an excellent job on my A/C installation. On time , attention to the details, professionalism . Would definitely recommend his services.
On-site after the storm destroyed our AC heating unit. Installed the replacement as soon as the debris removed, chimney and tree They completed all work in 3 hours. Superior quality.
I have used Ace Air on a number of new builds and remodels. I also use them on my rental and personal house. They provide a very professional and prompt service. They are very honest and I've never had a problem with any work performed.
I called to ask if they had a starting cap. After telling him what size capacitor I thought I needed he proceeded to correct me and tell me it’s a run capacitor. Which was fine at first. But he then cut me off and said if you need a 15microfarad I’ve got it. (In a tone that said he didn’t have time to deal with me) I tried to clarify the run/start wording because my fan will not turn, so I said the single phase motor needs something to start it. (I have been a high voltage electrician for over 10 years and have a pretty solid understanding of electrical circuits, from residential up to 345kv. I can tell you exactly how an anti-pump circuit works on a 138kv breaker. I can tell you transformer theory to the “T”, I am required to be an expert on multiple complex electrical systems. I’m just not an hvac expert and I’m willing to admit that. I wasn’t at home I was at work and can only go off the pictures my wife sent me). He told me (which I didn’t hear clearly so I’m assuming) he was saying something about how the capacitor worked but it was short, and then told me he wasn’t going to teach people over the phone.. Then he told me to go home, do my research and get back with him. (This was all in a tone as if I was wasting his time) I am at work at this point, it’s Friday, My pregnant wife is at home with our other three kids. Literally all I need is a replacement cap and apparently a little guidance as to which one to replace so I don’t have to drive home, check the entire circuit myself then drive 30 minutes away again to get what I need. And yes obviously if all else fails I will call a repair service to come out and fix the issue, but when you don’t have tons of money at your disposal that’s a last resort. I have people who have no idea what they are talking about gripe me out regularly because they’re lights are out and “we” (our company) should do a better job. I approach those customers with patience and as much kindness as I can even though it can be irritating. I

They did a fine job and same day service
Karl and his crew were able to squeeze me in and help my poor dirty AC unit. He was able to articulate any issue the AC unit had in a clear "non techy" way; AND, he is very affordable. Service was quick and thorough. Thank you Gentlemen for the help. Definitely recommend.
Update: This is my second time using Ace for air conditioning service and repair and I am a very satisfied customer. They answered my call right away and scheduled service on my mini-split air conditioner very promptly. After repairing a leak and recharging my unit, they put in the time necessary to thoroughly check that my system was operating correctly. Many thanks to Ace! Looking forward to more comfortable winter and summer from here on out. Ace air conditioning came out in the cold to help me set up my heat pump/mini split unit. I really appreciate their quick professional service and expertise. They went beyond what I hired them to do and made sure that everything on my mostly DIY install was working properly. I would recommend them to others in our area.
Update to original review: I did call them back when I was ready for my install and they got me into the schedule quickly. Showed up on time, had everything they needed to get the job done, worked quickly and efficiently, were friendly and honest, and went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased with the service. Would highly recommend them to anyone. Give them a call and you won’t be disappointed. Original review: I wouldn’t pay attention to the 1 star reviews. They all happened at the same time, and probably from just one bad experience who got everyone they knew to post a review. When I called, he was available right away, very knowledgeable, very friendly, quick to help, and offered a great price. I have yet to actually get the work done, but he’s first on my list to call back.
Carl and the crew at Ace Air are great. They came out very quickly after we called, even in the peak of summer heat (busy time for them). They ended up recommending replacement of our unit, which they were able to install within three business days after I informed them of our decision to order it. Pricing was very reasonable, especially for good quality equipment. Very friendly service!

Ace and his team did not disappoint! Came out in a jiffy during an emergency and quickly found and fixed the problem—without costing an arm and a leg. Will never use anyone else!
Ace Air Conditioning was very professional. Karl Artmire responded quickly when I called for requesting a bid and was able to replace the unit within a short amount of time following the bid. I will definitely recommend Ace Air Conditioning to my friends and family.

As a former news anchor in the Tyler area, I've heard just about every horror story out there about unscrupulous business practices. I've even experienced more than a few myself with the big established air conditioner companies in the Tyler area.
