They will not fix my AC! They sold me a 5 ton Trane in 2018. It has had 3 new compressors, a new fan motor and a new sensor. It is still not working and they refuse to fix it right. This has all been covered under warranty, however I suffer for weeks in 80° temperatures in my home until they get around to coming out. I'm fed up. Getting pretty desperate. Will keep doing reviews everywhere until it's fixed.
My family member has had issues with this company since they installed new unit 4 years ago. Last summer same issues happened and took them nearly 2 months to fix problems. Meanwhile having to endure 95+ degree days . Now… same issues. Now going on 5 weeks and still not fixed and now no response..and the heat is coming. Chris was responding and now he’s not . I’m writing this because it seriously no reason for the run around when they have the part. PLEASE FIX THE AC.
I had an appointment time of 10-2:00pm. I waited until 5:30 and no one bothered to show up or even call to let me know the status. I called several times and was told they were still going to show up. Not sure if they are short staffed or what, but customer service needs some badly needed help.
We are so pleased to have found a trust worthy HVAC company here in McKinney who was thorough in investigating what was causing our furnace to recycle without firing up. Thank you Chris for your knowledge, diligence and professionalism in getting our furnace up in running. We look forward to your continued support in the future.
Our heater has been working on & off for a couple of months now. I had done the basic checks and I couldn't get it to work properly. It finally just stopped blowing hot air and wouldn't shut off, so I called Choice Air. I was surprised to find-out that they would come out on a Sunday, and even more surprised to learn that they do not charge overtime or weekend rates to do it; and they were nearby. After speaking with them on the phone, a technician immediately texted me with a time frame to come out. Chris cam e out as promised, I described the issue, and he went right to work. In very little time Chris came down and told me he had everything working properly and described what he had done for us. He also advised me on what to do in the event of future problems. Then he told us there was no charge! What? The temperature has just hit freezing this week, and it looks like a cold winter ahead. This blessing has made me a believer. I'm thinking if I had called someone prior to this for routine cleaning and maintenance I would not have had to worry in the first place. Call these guys.
Choice Air Care did the AC unit install in 2019 and follow-up repair , the lady who answer the phone was very helpful and manage the call professionally. Chris did a great job of fixing the issue and showed up on late hours knowing the urgency. Truly appreciate their service, and highly recommend to call Choice Air Care for all your HVAC needs. -Syed
First the service technician made me wait whole day come at 6PM and left without speaking a word about the issue and said he will come and fix next day. No one turned up next day. I tried to reach the company but no response.
Chris was very professional and came out the same day to help manage my emergency outage. Good communication and understanding of the problem
I would give zero stars if possible. I called about getting a tech out to look at my non functioning unit. I was first given a time 4-7 but as was being booked got disconnected. Called back new time of 5-8, ok that’s fine. 8 rolls around no call nothing, I call and am told oh shouldn’t be much longer. Then 10 pm rolls around so I call back. Again tells me it’ll be at least another hour. I’m sorry I don’t want a stranger in my home at midnight when I’m alone with my kids. The communication was SO poor. They finally called around 11:45 to say he could come now. I declined. At any point they could have said he was incredibly far behind and I could have tried to find someone else to come out. Very unprofessional and rude. Don’t waste your time! When I asked if they’d push me to first appointment tomorrow because they weren’t making it in a timely manner she told me no. I’d have to wait until Sunday afternoon. So I’d be penalized again because they can’t get jobs done in a timely manner or communicate with customers about what’s going on? Ridiculous.
Chris is amazing, he notified me in a timely manner for service, he is knowledgeable, honest , timely, and very courteous. This is a very reputable company. Will use anytime. Thank so much for your service. He fixed my ac issue right away. Appreciate you and will tell all my friends. Happy customer!
Incredible quality of service. I have an infant and needed to fixed asap Chris came out at 2300 and fixed the unit. My boy didn’t even wake up. Already passing his number out. Highly recommend.
Very poor communication from this company. Install done in 2016 with commitment of 10 warranty on parts. The system failed multiple times and after 5 years I was told I no longer had warranty, however, Lucky for me I kept my paperwork confirming they sold me a 10 year warranty. However, they did not file the warranty with the manufacture thus costing me a full replacement. They failed to arrive for 3 different appointments and I went to another company to redo EVERYTHING again. Just concluded my civil claim with them to simply recoup the parts costs from their failed service. Owner Chris would not return calls nor did he even bother reaching out to make any of this right. Highly recommend avoiding this company as they do not honor their word.
Honestly, while their was scheduling issues like some other people have said, Chris’ personality and determination to make a customer happy is what made this a 5 star service.
I would give it a zero star if I could. Made a reservation to have a technician inspect the HVAC units of the property I have an active contract with. The reservation was at 10 am but the technician didn’t show up. Realtor informed me at 10:30. Called multiple times to follow up but every time I was put on hold for 20+ minutes then told the technician was still not ready. After multiple attempts to contact Choice Air, I was finally told at 3 pm that the technician couldn’t come. The seller was waiting there the whole time. Both me and the seller were frustrated and this definitely didn’t help me as a buyer in this extremely competitive house market. I understand that you guys at Choice Air might be busy and/or understaffed, but customers shouldn’t pay the price of it. If you can’t figure out your operations, then please say no from the get-go. Nobody should be sacrificing their time and energy like this. Overcommitting and underdelivering is not a sustainable business model!
Christopher with Choice Air was referred to me by a friend and I'm so thankful for the referral! They first came out in the summer of 2020 when my A/C went out and were able to quickly fix the issue same day! I had to call again today (12.8.202) with heater issues and again they came out same day and quickly fixed the issue! Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and efficient!! I would highly recommend Choice Air to friends, family and neighbors!
The quality of work on our A/C and heater that had issues was excellent as far as I can tell. Main complaint is they have been late on every estimated time slot, often not calling or texting until after the time slot and frequently rolling to the next day. Story is always the same, earlier job took longer. Don't know if they're taking in more work than they should or just really bad at estimating.
I am currently building a new home and called Choice Air as a referral by my realtor for a good sounding board. Chris, whom I spoke with, was extremely professional. He understood I was just looking for advice at this time, but he was more than happy to help me and even follow up with a text for critical things to look with my new construction HVAC system.
I like that Chris did not try to run the bill up. he found the right problem and fixed it. customer every where could so easy to be sold more coolant or a part we really do not need and the repair person could fix the true issue while installing the part. it is so nice that Chris did not do that and just fixed the problem.
Chris and his team were awesome on their visit to my home. They diagnosed and resolved the issue quickly and professionally. Highly recommend Choice Air Care.
No showed for a emergency AC service call on 7/16/21. Tried to call them back an hour after the service window ended, no one picking up the phone. Didn’t get a callback saying they’d be out the next day cause they were busy or got held up at another job. That I get and understand, and can make alternate arrangements. Instead I got a newborn screaming her head off cause it’s hot. Wish they still sold R22 to the public, coulda fixed the leak myself and recharged in the 9hours of downtime.
