Dillan was an amazing tech. He was very kind and went out of his way to let me know exactly what was happening and what he was doing as he walked by me in the house. Not only was he professional but he was super knowledgeable. Great employee!
I have been having A/C issues for over 3 weeks now. A#1 Air has come out 4 separate times to attempt to diagnose and fix the issue. First part they changed was the control board. I was out of town, and called them later that evening to let them know the A/C was still not working right since the thermostat was reading in the mid 80s. I was told I had to let the system recover "for a couple of days". I know B.S. when its spewed, but I obliged. I came home a couple days later to the same situation. I called them back out, and had to wait another week for a new blower to come in. Once the tech finished the install, I informed the technician that the air is still not blowing right. The tech said that because it's at night and not during the day, the air won't push as hard. Again, I know B.S. when I get fed it. So now, I'm writing this review since I can't seem to get my A/C fixed properly.
July 4 I noticed my air conditioning was warming up so I called a number one air they made me an appointment for that day the technician came out maybe a couple of hours later name is Jake I ask him does the AC compressor have a start capacitor like the condenser blower motor does and he said yes So that’s the first thing he checked and he showed me that it was bad And needed to be replaced and he just looks at me and says that’ll be 391 do you want it fixed I said so that’s it nothing else no talk no nothing $391 plus my $20 trip charge he was here less 15 minutes said it did not need any Freon capacitors are far less than 50 bucks so you do the math. I know that I won’t use them again
Angel our technician was able to come on-site on the holiday within 30 mins to fix our AC. He was very professional and was able to resolve the problem quickly. Highly recommend working with this company- they have taken great care of us for many years!
We called at 11pm on July 3, they arrived at 9 am on July 4th, very quick response time. Leo, did a great job changing the capacitor and explaining all the details. He was courteous and knowledgeable. I would recommend A#1 air for your a/c needs.
I dont have anything good to say. From insulation to electric...terrible. I asked for an outside electric box for my front porch. They cut a hole just behind my washer, which was in my garage, but the other side was in my house. Oh sorry, we wont charge u for that, our mistake. Then put a box else where and it took 2 hours. I knew right then, it was a 2 hour minimum. Also, I had a guy come REPLACE a bathroom heater/fan. He kept going in the attic and wasting time, it took him 2 hours also. I called the co. they said it's not a 2 hour minimum. For 1, the guy never needed to go into the attic. I just had that changed out and the guy never went into the attic. So, I def. Know they lie. I didnt get paperwork for the outside plug when they left and i knew right away, they were going to lie and charge me for 2 installs and that's exactly what happened. I called the co. I was told, i would get a refund, if i took my review down. This is also how they work. I said, i will update it, but I will not take it down. Then, I was told to find someone else to use. We are paying for status for the owners. We are paying for their commercials, advertising, appearances on channel 4. I found me a new co. and left the lies behind. When we had insulation installed around the ducts in the attic they were finished and left 8 bags of insulation in our garage. Once again I call. I was told they bring extra. I said, 8 bags extra? I'm paying thousands of $$ for this to be left behind. I looked the pricing up and asked for a refund for those 8 bags. I got my refund. Was told I could keep the insulation because I asked them to come pick it up. They are SHADY.
We called after hours on Sunday and dispatch picked up immediately and called back to update us on status of tech's arrival. Technician Albert came out to our house on time. He was professional, honest and thorough addressing our system's issues. These guys are the best in the DFW area and we recommend them to anyone who is having cooling problems.
We would like to give a five star shout out to Collin Bailey. He is professional while being friendly and does an excellent job. We had been without AC for about 5 days during this heat wave. Once we were assigned to Collin we knew we were in good hands. Thank you Collin 4 doing such a good job. Mark and Debbie Riddle
Our 4 year old complete Rheem system has broken and left us with no A/C in the middle of the summer for the 3rd time despite getting it serviced twice a year as recommended by A#1 Air. This time our compressor is bad and we have not been given an ETA on when to expect the part since it was not in stock. We are looking at potentially weeks without functioning A/C in 100+ degree temps. We purchased a system with an extended parts and labor warranty for these situations and yet we are still getting hit with a bill for $2,250 for 15lbs at $150/lb for refrigerant which is not covered under the parts and labor warranty. Keep in mind, wholesale cost right now is $16/lb for r410a. This is ridiculous and we as the customer have no choice but to pay this unless we void the warranty. This is just another way for A#1 Air to price gouge their customers after they have made a sale. We have spoken to the Customer Relations department several times and they have basically said it is what it is and you have to agree to it if you want your system to stay under warranty. We will not be recommending A#1 Air for any work and will not use them for any future purchases.

I was a repeat customer and big fan. (No pun intended) You priced gouged me last week and now you lost my business. You should be better to good customers. Sincerely, a young new homeowner.
Recently, my elderly parents’ air conditioner stopped cooling and I called A#1 Air late on a Saturday afternoon. During this busy season, the technician, Thomas Rivera, was at the house early in the day on Sunday. He quickly identified the problem and repaired the system within an hour. Thomas is a professional who is articulate, patient, courteous and gracious. I appreciated the person as much as I was grateful for his work and recommendations.
Recently, we had contact with Thomas Rivera. We are having our HVAC system replaced and Thomas was extremely helpful in getting us a couple of window units to cool down the house while we waited for the installation of your new system.
Wow! I now know why over 4K 5 star reviews. Called me back at 730am after a late night inquiry on their website the day before. Multiple days of over 100 heat on our ac did it in. Had a tech at my house by 2pm and a new ac installed by 6pm. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly and professional. Quincy and Dave were awesome. Thank you again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Sam Andrei was a life saver…LITERALLY. Our house was a dangerous 97° and we had to move to a hotel so we could be safe. Sam got to the house, found the problem, fixed it quickly and made sure his fix worked before he left. He also SAVED A BABY BUNNY RABBIT who was trying to cool itself under our AC unit. Sam gave it a handful of water and it perked up enough to bounce away. So not only did Sam give our families’ safety back, he was a caring person who cared enough to save a bunny too. Thank you is not enough Sam; but thank you from our family and the bunny’s family too.

We got a new system installed by Hugo and Jose. Those guys did an amazing job and didn’t rush anything. They were both professional and did not make any mess. We really appreciate them installing our new system without any issues! The system works and our home is much cooler. The staff of A#1 air scheduled everything and they were on top of everything as far as getting the install scheduled. Everyone has been super professional. We definitely would recommend A#1 air to friends and family!
