One of the best customer service experiences of my life. Responded to my initial call and was in my home diagnosing the issue in under 30 minutes. Very patient and thorough in his explanations. Resolved the issue and followed up with me when the weather condition changed. Very fair and very honest. Worked with me to show my unit was still under the manufacturer’s warranty. Can’t say enough good things about Dale!

Living in Texas, everyone needs a go-to AC guy. I came across Down Mechanical several months ago when my “old” AC guy was booked and couldn’t make it out to my house for several days. I called several other Katy companies at that time. Dale was the first to call back, plus I liked his name, so I gave him a try. I’ve used Dale three times now, and he was able to see me the same day I called. The first time I had a refrigerant leak. The second time a fan motor needed replaced. Both times he was able to fix the issue on the same day. Normally, that would be it, but today I woke up with our downstairs AC not working. I gave Dale a call, 30 minutes later he was at my house. Unfortunately, the fan motor that was installed inadvertently had the wire insulation wear and shorted out to the compressor tubing, leaking all of the refrigerant. He fixed the hole, added refrigerant, shield all wires, even checked my other AC unit as a preventative measure. Dale could have easily said, it wasn’t his fault, but he took full responsibility since he installed the fan motor. I disagreed, the unit has been running for a few months since he last serviced it; I thought it was fair I’d at least cover his time and material costs. After all, contractually speaking this is considered consequential damages that far exceed the motor replacement costs. He wouldn’t take my money no matter how much I insisted we at least split the costs. I know very few people in this world who beyond all the talk, telling you what you want to hear, actually stand behind their work and mean it. Bottom line, Dale is HONEST and FAIR, always responsive, efficient, and reasonably priced – plus he doesn’t seem to mind if I watch him work so I can learn about my AC units. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Worst experience I have ever had with a service repair. Hugo came out after we asked for drain lines to be cleared. They were contracted through our home warranty. He came and "did" the work and later that afternoon we noticed a large water leak under the furnace in the ceiling of our front room. I had Hugo and the owner came out and both were coming mpletely unprofessional, yelling at me in front of my small children. Both denied any responsibility for the damage and claimed that we must have called them out after noticing the leak and blamed the damage on them. Now we have a least a thousand dollars worth of repairs that we will have to try and get them to pay for. It's a nightmare.
