I called Eli when my AC stopped working he troubleshoot and at first told me the repair with maintenance (which I never asked for maintenance just repair) on a second AC would be $479.00 he notice my hesitation and offered me a discount of $410 and will perform maintenance on both my AC, I later found out that the maintenance was just to hose down my AC. He replaced a $15 capacitor and the whole thing took a whopping 30 minutes. I research further and according to every website I checked said a capacitor replacement should be anywhere from $75 to a maximum of $200 dollars depending on how long it take and the type of system you have. I checked with another AC repair guy and he said from what I told him of what was done he would have charged $175. I don’t mind paying for legitimate work but honesty is something that I really like to see and depend on when dealing with people and incidents like this make it hard to trust people.
