GREAT experience buying a Generac generator! They analyzed my needs and let me choose what I wanted. Installation went quickly, and James and his staff were timely and professional. About a week after installation a bad storm hit and power was out half a day- and the generator worked just as advertised!!
Almost ran us off the road swerving into both lanes then proceeded to give us nasty looks wjile driving slowly by. If this is the disrespect on the road I can't imagine the service in person. Please be careful on the raod because clearly he does not care.
Hughes Electric installed a Generac back up generator about nine months ago. We have lost utilities four or five times in that period. The peace of mind that it gives you to know that 60 seconds later you will have power again is great. Hughes Electric installation from beginning to end was very easy and professional. Great job.

I used Hughes electrical to have a whole house generac generator installed. Mr Hughes was very professional and responsive and was accurate on estimating the time involved for installation based on high demand. Both the electrical and gas crews were great and mr Hughes took a lot of time showing me operation and explanation. They are a great team to work with. Generator is up and installed May 2023
I've used Hughes multiple times and every experience has been top notch! When I call, Tammi always goes out of her way to understand the problem and schedule me in for a technician ASAP. When I needed a part they were clear about pricing, quick to order the part, and fast at getting me back up and running! As a newer homeowner, they've made me feel comfortable about calling them for all of my AC needs because they're honest and dependable.
Hughes Electrical & Hvac installed my home Generac. They were AWESOME. James explained everything to me on how it works. He set up the app on my phone to register the weekly test. He made sure I was registered for the extended warranty. He literally did everything. And, the very next night we lost power and the Generac came on immediately. WHAT A WONDERFUL RELIEF!!! If you are even considering a whole home generator (GENERAC), I highly recommend you call Hughes Electrical &Hvac. He also was more competitive in pricing. Give him a call, you'll be happy that you did. 🙂
Hughes Electrical recently installed a Generac generator at my home. My wife and I agree that James and his crew are very trustworthy and honest. Not only do they know their product, but they made this installation seamless and easy as possible. Not only am I happy to have a dependable backup generator with a great warranty, but also, I have a great service team that will maintain my Generac generator for many years. In my book, James is the go-to guy if you are thinking about installing a back-up generator at your home or business.
Hughes Electric installed a Generac Generator for our home and we were very pleased with the entire process. James and his team were very professional and very competent. From the initial estimate through the final startup and testing, they kept us involved and showed up when they said they would. The electricians, concrete and gas installers were very professional and considerate. James did our startup and testing himself to assure that everything worked perfectly. The installation process was very professional and the crew that installed the generator worked very well together and cleaned up the work area after the installation was completed. All my dealings with Hughes Electric have been exceptional. They communicate well, are responsive to questions and concerns, and do excellent work. We had a 24 kW Generac backup generator installed for our home, and we could not be happier with the results. Within days of installation, the city of Memphis announced rolling blackouts, and our generator performed flawlessly. I would not hesitate to recommend Hughes Electric to anyone considering having a backup generator installed.
Is not reliable. Will tell you they will show up on a day with no time and have you wait ALL day. Then try to argue and make excuses. There are plenty of things I could have done on my one day off than wait on someone who will not show. What happened to honesty. Not to mention I was told it was fine to leave the heat set to on because it "wouldn't come on". I go to check on the house for something else after waiting all day and heat is on and running at 90 degrees. Yes I'm probably partial to blame because I left the unit on but It was because I was told it would not run. Unprofessional and incompetent! I feel this wouldn't have happened under the previous owner.
We had a 14kw Generac installed and James and his crews done a great job. James is honest and down to earth. Will take time to answer your questions and concerns. HIGHLY recommend them.

Everyone I encountered at Hughes Electrical was highly professional, courteous, responsive and respectful of my property. I hired Hughes Electrical to install a whole-house backup generator by Generac, and every step of the process was effortless and perfect. I highly recommend them. James and his crew are the best. Had an A/C issue along with many others during this time. Called James, next day they were here to repair our system. I have been using Hughes for sometime now and cannot thank all of them enough.

Hugh’s electric installed a 22K Generac generator for me. They did an excellent job. There were 2 crews that installed it. One crew hooked the natural gas up and the other installed the electric. Both crews did a great and and were very courteous. First Class job by both crews. After both crews finished, James, the owner came by and tested everything. I would highly recommend them. Mike McCarty
