Repaired refrigerator april 25, 2023 450 dollars, replaced motor, motor failed today June 9, 2023, called company they said only 30 day warranty sorry can't help you. new service call and full charge no credit.
The technician left my washer disassembled and a business card to promote his used appliance business! When I informed them via email, they insisted on resending the same technician back out! No thank you! Scammers! Go elsewhere! Horrible Service!
At first, I believed that AHS was a great choice for in home repairs. That is until they "fixed" my dryer. My eyes were opened in disbelief. Ok, so they needed to order a specific part that was not readily available. It happens. But, when I started to get notifications from Ebay that I was getting a delivery, I was dumbfounded. I didn't order anything from them, I thought. Turns out that AHS can source parts from whomever and wherever they feel that they can get the best price from. Including as I found Ebay! But not to worry because AHS will warranty the part for 30 days! But, after that time period expires, well, you'll be expected to place a new repair order and pay another 100 dollars for the fix. So folks, if a bandaid can fix a problem for 30 days, expect a bandaid to be applied. Canceled my contract with them immediately as they cared not one iota of my concern and disappointment. If this practice doesn't bother you from a professional home service company, then it's your fire to play with.
The tech never showed. The appt was between 8-10. At 8, the tech called and sounded like he was still half asleep. I asked for his ETA and he said he would call right back. He never did. The company called at 10 to see how it went, and I told them he never showed. They rescheduled for tomorrow and I told him I did not want the same tech. The company called back and said they only had that one tech that serves my area (central Phx). They also said they have not been able to reach the tech to see what happened. Time to start again
I had the worst experience ever with this company. First they cancelled my appointment last minute. Then lied and said that the appointment was cancelled because I cancelled the appointment online. Which is completely untrue. The double booked my appointment with two different companies. I had multiple technicians trying to come to my home. When the technician came he opened up the pump on my washer, he did not use any tools to do so. Informed me there was some debris causing the malfunction. Then he proceeded to tell me he was charging me 250.00. This company is a rip off and scam artist. I am not asking for a free service. I understand I should pay something, but $250?? I contacted the company all they did was offer me a discount on my next service call. I will never use that credit, as I will never patronize with this company ever again.
I will not ever use or recommend this company to anyone. They came out to repair my kenmore refrigertor which I paid $ 354.74 on December 16th. On March 5th not even 90 days later my refrigerator is giving the exact same error message as it did in December. They want to charge me another diagnostic fee because it’s been over 30days. It’s the same issue. A issue I paid 354.74 to be fixed and apparently it was not. They just did a temporary fix and stole my money. Never again.
I regret ever using their services. Such bad customer service. They charged me 90$ just for turning on a switch. I had already paid so much and the only reason i had to pay money again was cux their pro didnt finish the job the first time.
Our two year old Samsung washer stopped working and the door wouldn't unlock. When we contacted Samsung we were routed to this company. The first "technician" who showed up said that the door lock was broken and needed to be replaced. The machine still didn't work. The second "technician" told us that the main circuit board needed to be replaced. The total cost for all of these "replacements" exceeded $700. Can you say bait and switch???? We wouldn't recommend this company to our worst enemy.
I've been with American Home Shield almost half a year now. Last Thursday, I turned on the garbage disposal when it suddenly sent a surge of black water up into the kitchen sink. At the same time, a big gush of blackish water drained into the cabinet under the sink. Things seem to happen in threes, because the flush valve of one of the toilets decided to not work and one of the bathroom sinks developed a leak. I reported the problems online to AHS. They sent out a plumber who arrived on time, was pleasant and competent and quickly fixed all the problems, replacing the garbage disposal and toilet flush valve. All of this was done at a very reasonable price. I was amazed how quickly and easily the whole process went.
I requested Hvac service with Home shield because I have two wall furnaces that have been out since December of 202. Home shield only uses a specific vendor by who goes by two different names "Mohin Inc and Elephant Heating and Air. This vendor is not reliable, the set appointments and never show up. Their main response is we are ordering parts and parts will be here in two days. When this vendor says those responses this is enough for Home shield to continue to force you to use them. It has been almost 3 months and my heaters are still not fixed. I was forced to cancel my service with Home shield because of these company. At one point I was given outside authorization to find my own vendor and once I did AHS reached out to Mohin to ask when are they come to do repairs and they said "in two days and they had already talk to me" which was a lie AHS canceled my outside authorization without telling me. I even requested to have a cash in lue because Mohin can not make time to come out to make these repairs this was never approved because it was enough for the vendor to continue to lie and say they have parts and they are coming. I had two accounts with AHS and has spent over 1k and have not gotten anything in return. You always have to talk to someone in escalation in order to get anything, I do not recommend AHS, especially if you are forced to work with an unreliable, lying vendor like Mohin. Again I have not had heat for almost 3 months and this is still not repaired.
As a new homeowner, I was excited to be “worry free” with the AHS Platinum plan. Unfortunately, whenever I NEEDED AHS for anything, they dedicated themselves to wiggling out of assisting me. I spent over 1 year in my new home without hot water waiting for AHS to honor the coverage of my plan or get back to me with an update. In addition to this, service providers are limited and almost always the most expensive on the market if you ask other contractors for Bids. Do yourself a favor and stash the premium you would’ve paid to AHS in a savings where it can be useful.
Do not use their services! It seems from the website like you can easily book an online appointment and your repair person will come out as you scheduled. But no, it is all a bait and switch. I wanted easy and convenient scheduling, but this was the opposite. I scheduled my first appointment and they didn’t show up. I called customer service, and it seems the company they contracted had a repairman who had something come up and stopped working early in the afternoon, but never bothered to let them know and was just a no show. So I rescheduled. The contracted repair company started leaving me messages about how they don’t work the hours my appointment was booked for and I needed to call them to reschedule. At that point I gave up and just found my own local repair company and scheduled directly.
AMERICAN HOME SHIELD- YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! American Home Shield sent out a contractor ‘D and P plumbing’ to repair a broken water heater. Obviously, a situation a paying customer would want resolved in a timely manner. When paying a company that provides home warranty, you assume they are sending out competent contractors. Companies they have investigated and are consistently proven to complete work that’s meets safety standards, codes, and guidelines. That did not happen in this case at all! The contractor they sent did not complete work up to standards, created dangerous violation, and the water heater FAILED TO PASS THE HEALTH INSPECTION. American Home Shield was made aware of this and basically wiped their hands of it. They provided no support, couldn’t speak to a supervisor on multiple occasions, and wouldn’t provide any additional details about their collaboration with this contractor. SO THE QUESTION IS, WHAT DOES AMERICAN HOME SHIELD DO?! If they are not able to vet their contractors, why would anyone continue to use this useless service?! American Home Shield turned an already challenging situation into a complete horror story by sending out an incompetent contractor. They took no accountability for their actions and basically said, ‘piss off’. After the horrible experience with this contractor, I looked up reviews, and wondered how they thought it was okay to send out someone of this nature. Overview of family experience with the contractor sent by AHS below. This company was the ‘assigned contractor’ from American Home Shield. From the beginning there were signs of SCAM written all over. Upon initial meeting, the proclaimed owner, stated he would give a discount if a check was written directly to him versus his company name. Weird right? Being in the position of needing a water heater, and American Home Shield sending out what was supposed to be a competent contractor the work proceeded. Things got even worse! They cut ‘Copper’ pipping out of the ho
Fraud. Run away for money. I complained to better business bureaus and got my money back. See you in small business court soon. All 5 star paid reviews are from Philippines and India .
We started having problems with our heater on December 25th 2022, so on December 26th 2022 we contacted American Home shield warranty company, who we have had an account with since we moved into our home over a year ago. They took our $100.00 deductible and sent out a technician from Mountain heating and cooling LLC on December 30th, he informed us that we have a bad high-pressure switch on our compressor unit and would need to remove the refrigerant to change it, and told us it would be over $1,000 to replace the refrigerant that he would be removing. The technician then left without leaving us any sort of paperwork or even a business card. Since then, we have contacted them repeatedly to find out when the repair was going to be done can they informed us several weeks later that the technician still hadn’t submitted the evaluation of the needed repairs so we asked them to contact Mountain heating and cooling LLC to get things started since the weather has been below freezing many nights. We called them again a couple days later and they told us they needed to order the part so they could send it to the technician. This went on for multiple days with us calling for updates and after another week we informed them that we found the correct part for $36 and would purchase it and it would be delivered in 2 days and asked if they would send the tech out to install it and they informed us that no, if we purchased our own part they would not cover any of the repair. We also found the refrigerant new and factory sealed for $35 a pound but they refuse to use our parts. They finally sent an estimate for repair on January 11th for $700 cost to us out of pocket even though we have a warranty with them, to replace a condensing unit and made a note that the pressure switch was shorted out (the pressure switch is not shorted out is open and our condenser unit inside the house they quoted us for is fine and was never looked at) They informed us by text message sent on that date th
I’m in North Phoenix. I Googled “appliance repair phoenix” Friday afternoon and this was the first listing that popped up. American Home Shield sounded familiar to me so I clicked it and attempted to schedule an appointment on line. Said same-day, which sounded great. Got a call a couple hours later: “Can’t find a tech in your area today, can we re-schedule Monday.” No problem, not an emergency, stuff happens. Got a call Saturday morning: “Can’t find a tech for your appointment Monday. We’ll have to cancel.” So when can you have somebody out? “We can’t find anybody for your area [metro-North Phoenix, mind you, not the stix], and we recommend you find a company locally.” What a joke. Don’t bother with these guys.
Sent someone to replace ignitor, now the oven practically blows up when started...called for repair of repair, they changed the appt time at the last minute, so I called to find out why, and a disgusting rep named james and another inept representative meme were SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL , wouldn't listen to the problem, talked over me ....disgusting...will definitely spend my money ELSEWHERE do NOT WASTE your Time or money with this service company...UPDATE:someone did reach out, I may give the company another chance....
Our dishwasher stopped draining water. I made an appointment for the next day (which was very easy). I was given a window of 8am - 10am. The repairman showed at 11:15. Irritating but not a big deal. He looked at the dishwasher for 5 minutes and said we would need a new drain pump which would cost $500. Hoping to get a second opinion, we hired a different maintenance company to take a look. This repairman was here for an hour and found debris in some tubing. He cleaned it out and got it running. We did not need a $500 new drain pump.
