My sister did some work for her after several promise's she had still not seen a dime!
Horrible service first I took multiple days off work to get my vents clean to have no one show up. Second I talked to a few people on the phone who were very rude when I was trying to be polite and have the service I paid for done. Finally... Their technician did significant damage to my unit. I tried working with them to get it fixed for the cheapest way possible. I filled out a bbb complaint that closed unresolved. The owner told me they were there to help 24/7 etc. I asked finally that they just refund the money I paid for the service which he said they would.. A month went by and I never heard anything finally said the check was written and that they would send it soon. 4 More months go by and and have not received anything. I have sent at least 50 texts. I have left voicemails. etc. Worst business ethics I have ever seen. It is a total scam. • • •
DO NOT USE !!!! They don't show up - they don't call, and they do not return calls after leaving several messages!!!
Wow. Wished I had read the reviews. A guy and a lady came out were extremely helpful and did their little routine. They said to clean my really long dyer vent would be extra and I expected that, and there was something else .. for total of $170 extra. He said they don't take CC and he could only take cash, and I was like "uh, oh hell no ..." and said I'd give them a check. Stupid. They cleaned things up very good and left and we were happy. Until a couple days later when we did laundry .. the dryer vent was completely blocked, not just a little .. but competely. It was fine before they cleaned it, but it had been a while and I thought it should be cleaned. Now it is a total fire hazard .. I've been playing phone tag for 3 WEEKS trying to get them to come back and clear the vent. All I've gotten is the run around, initially James was going to "decide" how to handle it and call me right back (two weeks ago), rather than just book an appt. Now I am becoming furious .. up until now, they have been extremely courteous and responsive .. but this week there has been no one answering the phone on any day at any time and no one is returning my messages. UNBELEIVEABLE!!
As you'll see below this review, this company leaves you out to dry and takes your money like a criminal.They'll set up an appointment, but will be a no-show. They don't answer calls, respond to emails, or retain any customer service. Doing business with them is purely a mistake and will only cost you. If you purchased through another merchant, contact them for a refund, and make a claim against this illegitimate, dishonest and swindling company.
Terrible! DO NOT USE 1st Choice Home Services. I purchased through Amazon Local to have 1st Choice Home Services clean my windows. I had to wait 6 weeks for the first available appointment. When scheduled date arrived no one showed up at scheduled time (10a.m.) I called 1st Choice several times waited on hold for 5-10 minutes, then was transferred to a voice mail. When I finally spoke to some one I was told that they could not get in touch with cleaning technician and wait for another 2 hours. After 2.5 hours of waiting I called 1st Choice back, only to be told that they could not find me on their schedule and that I should call back later and reschedule....then 1st Choice representative" Ashley" hung up on me. Waste of a day waiting for NOTHING except aggravation
I purchased a voucher via Amazon Local for window cleaning services. I called to set up an appt and the first available appt was 2 months out. I booked the appt. and called a week before to confirm. They advised that they have had work crews quit in my area and that they would call me back that day with a new appt. I didn't hear back and proceeded to have the same conversation with six different people six consecutive days with no new appt. I then saw all these horrific reviews and called Amazon Local to obtain a refund and received one immediately. Do not use this company!
No stars, this was a horrible experience! After multiple efforts to get them to just return my phone call, I was delayed and stalled and told they couldn't schedule me. When I finally worked my way up to a manager, he told me I couldn't get scheduled until mid-December, when I started the process in September! I reported them to Amazon, and got my money back. What a rip-off!
If I could give this company a lower rating I would. How I wish I would have checked out these ratings first. And as I read the five star reviews I truly believe they were written by the company themselves. I purchased a window washing coupon for this company from Amazon. The earliest appointment I could get was three weeks out. So, my appointment was for Monday, October 6th, 2014. On Friday, October 3rd, we received a call confirming our appointment and that the technician would be here between 8AM and 9:30AM. Over the weekend we took down curtains, shades, and moved furniture away from the windows in preparation for the appointment. When no one came by 11AM, I called the company. The phone would ring, someone would answer and immediately say, "Can I put you on hold?" and would do so before I could even answer. I would wait on hold about two minutes then I would hear a dial tone. I did this four times. On the fifth attempt I shouted, "NO" when she started to ask if she could put me on hold. I told her we were waiting for the window washer who was due between 8AM and 9:30AM. She said they would never give someone such a short window of time but that our real time was 8AM to 1PM. The technician would be here by that time. The technician never showed so I called the company the next day. She apologized and said she could give me another appointment on November 8th. I told her our house was totally torn apart and that time frame was not an option. She then gave me an appointment for Saturday, October 11th. Today, October 9th, I called the company to confirm our Saturday appointment. I spoke to a man and told him I would like to confirm my appointment for Saturday. He said that wasn't going to happen as the technician was sick with a long term illness. I asked him just when we they going to let me know or was this just going to be another no show? Contracted with this company through Amazon Local in June 2014 and they scheduled an air duct cleaning during the last week of July. they were sooooo busy they just could not work me in. I got a call from them just days before the service was due and they had to reschedule......30 days later! Keep in mind that I had to adjust my summer schedule around these people. Now rescheduled Aug 26th. You guessed it I got an email August 25th from James Jones (the Principal) to call them they needed to reschedule again......about 30 days later. The reason was that their technicians had an unforeseen issue. When I called I spoke with Samantha and it was a family emergency because their father was near death. I told her I could understand and would work with them. I expressed my exasperations with Samantha with their way of doing business and how I was continually being bumped and could I get something earlier because surely they had more than one technician (yes, they had two and they were brothers so obviously the same father). I was promised September 8th and a call back to confirm. I did not get a call back (surprise surprise) so I called Sept 8th to see when the contractor was coming. There was no record of my 9-8 service schedule. I spoke with Nicky and was promised September 29, 2014 ( I keep noting the year because this could have gone into 2015). I received a voice mail late Friday the 26th to call regarding my service. I called today 9-29-14 and was passed to a couple of people before I spoke with Ashley. Her answer was there was an emergency with the technicians (they apparently only have two and I really didn't want to know who was dying this week which they could always foresee ) and could not make the appointment. Her solution was to request a refund. I asked her if a reschedule was not available ( just for giggles) and she told me curtly to get a refund. Folks, save yourself grief and lies and do business elsewhere.
Purchased their whole home air duct cleaning service. Which was a total SCAM. They sent an out of state, unqualified couple who were not equipped to do any amount of benefit. They used a portable air compressor with a 1/4 inch nozzle to blast air down a 6" air conditioning duct. And justified that it was effective by shoving a shop vacuum hose into the furnace vent. The shop vacuum that they used had no type of dust filtration system attached so anything that it might have collected simply passed through its crude filter and back out into my living space coating my entire home with dust that will inevitably be recaptured by my ventilation system. Proper ventilation cleaning required specialized brushed, and an industrial vacuum located outside of the home to ensure that anything captured is not reintroduced into the home. Very unhappy with who they chose to contract with, and would have been better of leaving the system alone.
We live in Los Angeles, CA. Bought a voucher for window cleaning from this business on Amazon Local to clean 25 windows for $99. Spoke with Daniel to set up the appointment. When the two men came to do the cleaning we discovered they have a special definition of "window", so our count of the number of windows in our house was half of what they would count. They count each pane as a window, so, for example if you have a window that opens from the top or bottom and covers the other half of the window, it counts as two windows. We did call Daniel back and had a long discussion with him in which he said they always explain that when you make the appt. We said that didn't happen so he found the recorded call and played it back for us in which he never questioned what kind of windows or explained they we talking window panes, but then in his opinion it was our fault for not asking how they defined a window! Please! Really? Buyer Beware!
Wish I had read the reviews. Horrible company!!! Bought my Amazon local voucher, for air duct cleaning, in April 2014. Finally reach a person to make an appointment in June, appointment was for Aug. 6th, 2014 (today), between 8:00 - 1:00. I just called the company at noon to verify the appointment and they have no record of my purchase. They did approve me for a refund with Amazon which I find strange since they have no record of my purchase. VERY SHADY COMPANY.
DO NOT USE THEM!!!! Check BBB & see why. Ordered a voucher from AmazomLocal, for air dust cleaning, Called and said that she could not see more than 4 weeks out to schedule appointments...OK then. Called back several times and always got the recording that I could leave a message and someone would return my call, and they never did! So I kept calling back thinking that they are busy with everyone buying these vouchers. Finally got through and made appointment for 3 weeks later between 1 pm and 8 pm. No one ever showed up or called, not even the next day, so I called and got a "oh, sorry about that...when would you like to reschedule?" I could give a crap attitude. Rescheduled for today and the service guy called to tell me that he was going to another persons house that was closer to where he was at the end of his first appointment and would be at my house by 1 pm. The window for my appointment ended at 1 pm. They finally showed up at 2:40 pm!!! Will always check BBB from now on! They have an F rating and a warning with the BBB.
Terrible, terrible experience. I called them to setup an appointment over a month ago. The woman told me she would call me back to set up a good time (why does she have to call me back? Why can't we set up the time right there?). She never called back. I had to call HER back. We finally set up the appointment for this past weekend. I took a day off of work (I only get a few days to leave work per year), they never showed. I called in to ask why, they told me the technician's wife had gone into labor. Ok, that's fair. They rescheduled the appointment to the following sunday. Still no show, no call. I called back, and now no one has answered the phones or returned my calls for 2 days. The company is horrible. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing my groupon voucher. Don't waste your time or money with them.
Bought voucher for duct cleaning on amazon local. Called to 1st Choice Home Services, as I was instructed by voucher, they told me they will call back to assign appointment. This was 3 weeks ago - no callback. Tried to call them again - nobody answers. Total junk - now I have to figure out how to get my money back.
Actually, ZERO STARS. When I requested an appointment, I was told they'd call me back when they had time. They called about a month later and scheduled an appointment for the following week. They gave me an EIGHT HOUR block of time in which they'd do the work and said they'd call before arriving. They never called, they never showed up. I can't review their work, because they couldn't even take the time to do it - or to call and let me know they were not going to do it. BEYOND TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
Wish I could give them less than a star. Don't waste your time with tjis company unless you are looking for stained soaking wet carpets. They did not get the stains out, I called the guy (seemed nice at first), they said they would send him back out. we arranged our day and waited for him to no show. Mysteriously, no one answers my phone calls anymore. Place is a scam.
