I've used this company several times in the past and never had a problem with the quality of their work, but they have changed up their billing practices lately in a way I consider out of the norm within the industry and predatory. Specifically, I've used them a half dozen times in the past and never been charged for "travel time", but this most recent time I had one of their plumbers at my house. He was there for less than an hour and turned in a bill for 2 hours. Asking about the discrepancy I was told they have to charge for travel time, despite the fact that a simple Google shows my house is about 15-20 minutes from their office. And this is the crux of the problem. They do not warn you when you call that they will charge you a VERY expensive amount for travel, nor does it have to be just 1 hour. On the invoice the plumber wrote the 2 hours as when he got into the office, a standard which could be stretched to whatever they like. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company until they are more clear about their billing practices to avoid nasty surprises.

We have used K.E. Seifert many times for our business. Our water heater went bad a couple months ago and started leaking very early in the morning. They had a replacement out and installed within hours of my call. The pricing is also reasonable. I highly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

Damage to new floor during powder room vanity installation (crew didnt know they were installing cabinet though quote included it; and didn't have proper tools to do job. New powder room faucet leaked under sink and damaged cabinet- would not honor after 3 months. Did not find leak source in kitchen ceiling but charged for new shower fixtures and valves.

Five years ago we called this company put to quote us on replacing our sewer line in the backyard. We thought they were a reputable company given that we used them on contract for our HVAC and didn't have any issues. Five years ago a salesperson whom no longer works there came to our home for a replacement quote, he said to give us a more accurate quote he would "prefer" to snake the line. To which my husband said that we already had a video from another company and could provide him footage, he said if you don't mind I'll just do it myself it's part of my quote. He proceeded and then billed my husband over $300 when he would not sign a contract for the replacement right then and there. We called the office and spoke with their sales manager and office manager whom said that they were sorry for the misunderstanding and that we did not owe this amount. Now, present day we get a bill from a collector and a hit on our credit for delinquent payment of this bill that suddenly appeared in the last 3 months to this creditor. I've now called the office on three separate occasions with the promise of a return call and most recently was told they added to their calendar a follow up call to me in 3 days to make sure the owner reached out, that was over a week ago now and crickets. It was also confirmed that none of the employees or managers we dealt with are there any longer and they have no record of any conversations but also thought it strange and were the ones to say wow, 5 years ago and your being billed from a credit company now? Working in a service industry for years, one that was upfront with service charges and billing I am just so saddned by the way we see being treated. This negligent mishandling of our situation and the idea that 5 years later they would try and collect money from us is truly absurd.

before they come onsite, I double checked with them is there any diagnose fee which typically 0-100, they said no. then they give me a quote about $1100 which is doubled than another quote i got. and they said, if i do not use their service, they will bill me $220 for onsite fee. I don't like the feeling that people don't tell you any hidden fee before they provide service. my location is Warrington, a round trip is about 1.5h. my point is #1, if any onsite fee or diagnostic fee or other name, let me know first and I will make a decision prior to service. #2. 200 is too much for just onsite. I will not recommend this service. BTW The customer service is nice. looks like they online 24 hours, and no waiting time. Hope they can do some improvement to make their review score above average.

I called them at 9 AM they were here by 1 PM. I have used them for more than 20 years because they always show up on time or early.

Required plumber for some drain and faucet problems. Appointment was scheduled easily one day in advance. David Sr and Tom where out to resolve the plumbing issues. They were timely, very friendly and efficient getting the work done. The service was much appreciated.

We needed help (very last minute) with looking at a property we were interested in purchasing and they were so helpful and responsive and gave us same day service. Professional and on time. The office staff was a pleasure to coordinate with as well. Highly recommend!

I wish I could rate negative stars. While not having them perform service on my home... one of their service "technicians" cut me off hard in heavy traffic and kicked up debris in my windshield fracturing it into to pieces. When I honked to get their attention i received a middle finger from the driver as he darted through traffic to avoid me. I wish i could've gotten a license plate number to take further action but have been surmised to pay $400 out of pocket for this businesses unprofessional and incompetent driving. If their mechanical skills match their driving, this company is doomed.

As with some of the other reviews, these guys should be avoided. They came out to my office to check my back flow valve which took about 3 minutes. Then I get a bill for $265. For several years I used another company and they only charge me $90. When I called them, they tried to tell me that's the going rate. I guess that another way of saying "We gouge our customers". My advice is ask for a cost up front. Then go somewhere else.

My mothers home had a defective and leaking septic tank that could not be repaired. I used K.E Seifert to install a new sewer line that hooked up to the the townships sewer system . Victor was great to work with, he was out the next day to meet with me. He was polite, professional and very helpful. The job was completed in a short amount of time and at a price we could afford. I called when my house was 55° right before a snow storm and they came out the next morning. The motor was replaced and the service was quick!

I initially submitted a request for a quote on an installation of a Pressure reducing value and also the relocation of a hose bib. The quote did not separate the costs for each which is my only complaint about the company. I asked them to resubmit a bid for just the PRV which they completed and we decided to move forward. When the tech arrived at our house, he determined that the quote did not include more extensive work which would need to be completed for installation. However, the company honored their quote and completed the work. They did a fantastic job and we will be using them in future for all our plumbing and HVAC needs.

I used KE Seifert for a renovation. The master plumber was competent and respectful. The problem w/ this company is they did not do itemized billing. After receiving the first large bill, I asked to itemize. I was sent a very vague and incomplete statement. We went on to use them ( again, plumber was very good). But I got doubled billed and again very vague billing. I firmly believe ( after dealing with other plumbing companies) that we were overbilled. I am not sure if the administration staff is incompetent or shady. I would be careful when dealing with them. Get estimates for each job. Keep track of time and workers.

The worst!!! Please look elsewhere for your plumbing needs. Seifert plumed our entire brand new home 9.5 years ago in Princeton, and the amount of floods we’ve had has been surreal. So many plumbers have come into our home to deal with the issues caused by Seifert, and they have all said the same thing, “I have never seen a house plumbed like this in my entire career!!!!!” Save yourself the pain, frustration, and fortune to fix their horrific work.

I've had such an issue with contractors, in general, but most recently had difficulty getting a plumber to call me back. When I asked, a realtor we had been working with recommended KE Seifert. Was in a pinch and they were SO accommodating and working with my dead line. Called them back for another small job and just as pleased. Now I am working with them on a new project in a home we recently went under contract with. Everyone I've dealt with there has been professional, pleasant and does their job well. Pricing is comparable. Would not hesitate to recommend them.
