Ed and Tony are the best. Always honest, great service, and very knowledgeable about their products and services. East Coast Comfort is the best for all HVAC and evn Hot water heaters.
While my initial experience with the HVAC maintenance request was good/excellent (Ed, the technician was respectful, efficient, showed on time), the outcome of the follow-up was pitiful. Ed told me I needed a braided hose exchanged due to rust build up. The company found different reasons (no hose supply, etc) to not follow through. Beware that they cherry pick their clients and if something looks like a small job they will not do it for you. Disappointing is how I would rate my experience with them.
My husband and I interviewed 3 companies to install a new water heater. The first two were Silas and Horizon. Their prices were thousands higher than East Coast and after a trip to Philly - I realized why. On the train, there was an advertisement for Silas. And the very next day, a plane flew overheard with a banner for Horizon. Both Horizon and Silas sent out sales reps who drove really nice company vehicles and spent almost an hour giving us a typical sales speech. East Coast Comfort doesn't have sales reps. They send out employees who actually do installations so they know what they are talking about. There is no shiny colorful truck - just a work truck. We ended up going with East Coast Comfort not only because they came in at the lowest (and I mean thousands lower and even put in the same equipment that both corporate companies quoted us) but because it's a small company that doesn't have bells and whistles - they have knowledge, experience, and instead of spending money on advertisements, they rely on word of mouth (a friend recommended which is how we came to call them in the first place). On installation day (new heater) - they discovered a pipe which had been broken which our previous "contracted" oil/heating company never noticed and this was after years of "yearly" inspections. Tony and the other employees were professional yet friendly and I so admire their work ethic and their integrity. On a side note, I offered them something to drink and though they refused, Tony said people rarely ask them that anymore. I was amazed and saddened: don't people have manners any longer? In a country that is screaming about treating people "equally" and "fairly" - it's just absurd that homeowners don't even think to offer contractors a can of soda or glass of ice tea. Yes, you are paying them, but it doesn't mean you're "above" them. Growing up (in the mid-west) anyone who came into our house was treated like a guest. Maybe it's just a mid-west thing, I don't know, but
East Coast delivers service the way the customer expects. Starts with Lisa who’s on top of everything and gets the technician to your house quickly and accommodates emergencies! Bryan is the brains! That man can solve any HVAC issue from common mundane issue to an obscure nail in a gas line that only he would know to look for bc of his experience! Protecting the utilities in our homes is very important to us, we always call Lisa at East Coast.
Very professional. On time. Deep cleaned ductless splits--they had an odor. Odor gone, running much better. No mess after their maintenance. Highly recommend!
Phenomenal team. Professional work every time. Pleasure to work with! I have work with ECS for close to a decade now and could not be happier!
We got a new HVAC system installed recently by East Coast Comfort (just in time for these humid days!), and Lisa, Ed, Tony, and the rest of the team have been truly outstanding! They showed up when they said they would, they genuinely listened to our specific requests, and they got the job done professionally and on time. I had a chance to hang around doing some DIY work while the installation was happening, and it’s obvious that the crew takes true pride in what they do; they did a really clean job, even rejiggering the old installment’s wiring to make our small HVAC closet more tidy. We could not be happier with this wonderful team!
Ed and Tony did an excellent job switching my house from gas to propane heat. It was not an easy job as the opening to my basement is a trap door in the floor. They are knowledgeable and professional and I cant wait to have them come back to install my AC. I ask alot of questions and they couldnt have been kinder. I highly recommend their company.
ECC’s tech Bryan showed up on time (same day service) and fixed a buzzing forced air unit. The bill was quite reasonable and their admin Lisa was very helpful.
Great service ! Tony installed our water heater , furnace and air conditioner 5 years ago ! We have only had to call them for service 2 times in 5 years ! They are professionals and very reliable! If your in need of any services please call them ! They are all fantastic!!!!
My entire experience from Lisa in the office to Ed, Tony, Jack, and others, was terrific. They were on time, went about work professionally, and they cleaned up after removing my 40 years old furnace. Quality workmanship in this day and age is rare, but with this team, it was obvious they knew what they were doing. Great job highly recommend!!!
After countless quotes for a mini split system for our home, we went with East Coast Comfort. We couldn’t be more happy with the system, and, I cannot emphasize how elated we were to have a crew of COURTEOUS, PUNCTUAL, TIDY, and FRIENDLY guys doing the work. They knew what they were doing, arrived on time every morning, and cleaned up their messes every day before they left. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a professional crew to do their HVAC system.
I had a Fujitsu mini split system installed 4 years ago, the first year they worked great and were fairly inexpensive to operate. By the second year, the units started blowing moist air into the rooms anytime they were on. Then they started dripping brown water. And then the condenser units started leaking all over my hardwood flooring. They couldn’t fit me in for a month so of course I had to spend the heat of summer living in a swamp. It got so bad that I actually put my window units back in. After countless visits, AC recharge, looking for a leak in the pipes, putting insulation tape here and there, I was still having issues. This is now through 2 summers the problem remained unsolved. I even had Fujitsu come out with them and no answers and no solutions cams of it. Another summer spent living in a swamp hoping my floors don’t buckle from the humidity every time I turn the units on. By last October it was determined that the Armoflex foam insulation had deteriorated. They came in and replaced it on the roof, but left an entire section that was so worn down that the copper pipes were exposed. Now I’m waiting for another visit and praying that the problem is fixed. Such a shame because the units were installed very professionally but unfortunately the company doesn’t know how to maintain their units or any of the copper piping etc. When I had them on Eco mode the installers didn’t even know what the Eco mode symbol was, so they really don’t even know their own product. Maybe it’s because I am a woman and I seem stupid to them, but every time they visit I get told it’s not working because I don’t know how to operate the remotes correctly and that it’s not their fault. This is a $10,000 headache I would do anything to go back in time and go with another company.
Ed and his team did a fantastic job installing my new HVAC system. Very friendly and highly recommended.
Ed is the man! These guys are really top notch. My experience and the reason these guys will be my go-to HVAC people is similar to Laura's. Dealing with other companies is very frustrating because the guys that come to diagnose your system are not the same one's who do the sales and it really makes for a terrible experience. Not the case with Ed, it's a one stop shop and it makes getting advice so much easier because he knows both ends of the deal. We have a 20 year old A/C system that blew a circuit board on the air handler (ECC didn't diagnose this but confirmed it). The board was no longer available because of how old it was. Not a single of the 4 other companies we contacted even attempted to fix the system because the board was "not available". I was only trying to get quotes for a new system from Ed since the other companies lead me believe there was no way to fix it. Instead of selling me a system (which he definitely could have) he actually fixed the problem by bypassing the circuit board and just using a relay. We also had ECC install mini-split system in 2 upstairs bedrooms because our central system had inadequate ducting and we didn't want to tear the house apart and risk having it not really solve our issue of a hot upstairs floor. Everyone else really tried to gouge us on price wanting $8,000 to install a system where the equipment is maybe around $2500-$3000. These systems are actually pretty simple to install (only takes a day) and I'm sorry, but $6,500 for a day's labor is crazy greedy in my book. I would've probably installed them myself if it weren't for the warranty. Anyway, he gave us a great price on the ductless units and did a fantastic job. Even though I said the install was fairly simple, I was really impressed with the one guy using a monstrous hammer drill to drill a 4 inch hole through the concrete block wall. Looked pretty tricky!
