Excellent service
Over priced
Called on July 3rd (knowing it was a holiday weekend), I left a message with the answering service for a call back after they return from the holiday. It is now July 8th and no return call.
They are courteous and professional. Number 1!
Called them to do annual furnace maintenance. I don’t mind people showing up early, but not so much when the appointment is 8am. The only good I can say is the gentleman who showed up was very friendly and knew what he was doing. However, I don’t feel like I should be paying nearly 300 bucks for what I’ve had done by other companies for 100 or less. Fool me once. Never again.
We had A.P. Merkel Plumbing & Heating come out to give a quote on some plumbing work. Their representative was very responsive and professional. We were very pleased with his in-depth knowledge on all topics, and will certainly keep this company on our short list for all future projects.
This company owns a rental unit that has several apartments that have been out of heat over the winter and now has non -working Air conditioning. The owner has been snotty and unprofessional saying that the tenants need to just wait until they can fix stuff and then come into the apartment unannounced and with no prior notice! Worst slum lords ever! The bugs are awful and the water damage from leaking appliances creates mold and a horrible living environment.

Heating was on the fritz a few weeks back and after trying to troubleshoot it myself I determined it was probably something out of my capability and gave Merkel a call. Turns out it was my thermostat. From the time I called until having my heat back on was just an hour and a half! Fast, high-quality service and he was even nice to my annoying dog. If I have another Plumbing/Heating problem I know who to call to get the job done right.
We had a defective unit and the ownership and staff took real good care of us. It’s nice to know companies are willing to work with their customers instead of against them. Thank you! Great service and super polite employees! John and Pat were great too! . . I highly recommend!
