after posting a bad review out of frustration the business owner contacted me and was very understanding. More over he got involved with my home warranty company to get the problem solved and dispatched a tech to replace my motor on the same day. It’s good to know someone still cares about his customers and willing to get out of his way to help them.
Was recommended from my Home Warranty company, and they were fast, professional, and friendly. Their front desk is extremely helpful and friendly if I call with any questions and they are prompt with a response. Would use again
Staff is so super friendly and knowledgeable! They answered all my questions and fixed my problems. I highly recommend them for repairs and maintenance and have been using them for years. For anyone who has a home warranty company, please be aware that many of the warranty companies have changed their rules and coverage for HVAC repairs. These changes have really limited how and what an HVAC repair. Please listen to technician who will advise you on what you should do. Understand that the warranty companies make the rules not MDT or the technicians. Highly recommend MDT!!!
Ian came to replace a capacitor in the HVAC, inspect my HWH and troubleshoot my thermostat. He arrived early and waited for me! Ian was a wonderful educator about my equipment and helped me think through the process of a soon-to-be needed replacement of my heat pump. I met the company via warranty services but will continue to use them for my home. Service excellence AND expertise. Thank you!
I’ve had multiple services completed by MDT including maintenance, duct work and cleaning, and new equipment installation. I highly recommend them to everyone. They’re very knowledgeable, friendly, fair on price and the quality is high. I won’t trust my hvac with any other company
The technicians, including the owner, were very professional, easy to talk to about our repair and very efficient!! I highly recommend them for any H/VAC needs! The person you talk to on the phone is splendid!

MDT was originally dispatched as part of a home warranty call from the big one most people know. First time out I received the junior/new HVAC techs. I get it, warranty claims are easy money as 90+% are super easy fixed that even a new/junior tech can resolve. My issue was more than that ... first dispatch they came and the jr. tech said my fan motor needed replacing (after spending time with his manager or the owner on the call). Told me I could wait many weeks for the warranty company or he could go to West Chester and get the part now, I'd pay out of pocket, and I could submit later. Gave me a price, I said hey, this doesn't feel right -- called his manager/boss and they knocked $100 off. I called around and the price for the work seemed fair. Okay fine ... that didn't resolve the problem. They left and and I had report again to the warranty company the issue wasn't resolved. This time, MDT sent a "retail" technician vs. a warranty one -- meaning someone with experience. He went through his motions, said okay the defrost board needs replacing, ordered the part and I'd have to wait ... so I waited. When the part finally came in the original jr. tech arrived to install the new board. I reached out to the sr. tech who said he was no longer with the company and that MDT was only focused on warranty work now. The jr. tech replaced the board and, in the process, blew a fuse on the furnace controller board. He didn't have replacement but I did. The issue now was my AC wasn't working at all -- previously it would run for 30-60min, I could turn it off for 30min, and then would run for another 30-60min (clearly the defrost control board was the real root cause). The jr. tech then said okay, I'm a junior tech, I don't know, we may have another company out since I can't fix this -- but I'll have the owner call you (spoiler alert: he never called). MDT closed the ticket and I had the warranty company re-open it as the issue wasn't resolved -- a new company was then assigned.
Mr. Turner, your 'interpretation' of the events as presented in response to my husband - to be frank - is simply disinformation. If you are going to take time to present your ‘research’, the least you can do is to make sure it is factual. Our original call was to OUR home warranty, American Home Shield, who then contracted our work request to MDT Heating and Air / MDT Heating Warranty Services/MDT Duct Cleaning. Perhaps you should instruct American Home Shield to specify that information to customers when they contract technicians from the MDT brand. While the first technician did inform us that our HVAC Unit was iced up and instructed us to change the filter, he absolutely DID NOT recommend rerouting any trap. His specific instructions were as follows: 1) Change the filter, 2) Switch the unit to heat for a few hours in order to melt the ice. 3) After a few hours, switch the unit back to central air, which we did. AT NO POINT, did the first technician suggest a repair for a trap NOR did he leave a price for this alleged repair. Your statement that the first technician left a price for repairs, Mr. Turner, is simply false, untrue - a blatant lie. There was nothing to decline because there was no repair offered from the first technician. Yes, you are correct. I did call back the next day because the unit started leaking again when we switched back to central air. Mr. Turner, yes, the condensate pump was in a turkey pan because it had always been in there- when we purchased this house. With that being said, the first technician saw the condensate pump in the turkey pan. What you are not going to do, Mr. Turner, is to insinuate that my husband and I tinkered with any components of the HVAC unit. This is why we invested in a home warranty when we first bought this house: so that we can contact qualified technicians (not in this case, however) to fix appliances/units that break down. This is a horrible business. A HVAC technician came into my home and disassembled our condensate pump, told my wife that we need a total new one that will cost us $800 dollars but can work on it today for a special price of $400 dollars. We told the technician we have home insurance and it should cover, he told us our home insurance would not. We told him we will contact our home insurance company first so he decided to leave. He then called our home insurance and told them nothing was wrong with our HVAC system. When he informed our insurance company of everything, the MDT technician lied and said he didn't disassemble our condensate pump which caused a big issue. PLESE EVERYONE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. ZERO INTERGRITY. The company will cause you more headaches than the one you had prior to using them.
Do not go with this company. Their technicians are extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. The technician assigned to our house was NOT even able to IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. His statements contradicted to each other. After 5 mins investigation (no problem identified and no resolution provided), he said he had to go for other service calls. If you don’t want to waste your money, please go with a different company. REPLY: I requested a service through AHS warranty. My appointment was scheduled for today from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Your technician was dispatched at 10:46 am (I received both email and text reminder for the dispatch). My phone number ends in 1637. You should be able to find me in your customer list.
Mark arrived on time and was extremely nice and professional. He showed me what the problem was and fortunately had the part on his truck. He fixed my A/C and the price was more than reasonable. Its so refreshing to have a repair done with someone who likes their job and is professional and timely. Thanks MDT for sending Mark to my home! Valuable employee!
A friend told me about MDT HVAC because they had used them and LOVED them. I was contacted by Mark at MDT within hours of leaving a message (on a weekend) and got an appointment for that Monday. The very courteous repairman arrived ON TIME and was able to assess what was wrong and then he gave me several options. I appreciated MDT's willingness to discuss the pros and cons of the alternatives and I made my selection. Even though I took a couple of days to make my decision, once I did, they were back on site within a day installing the new compressor. Again, friendly and courteous and they didn't mind my very intrusive dogs. I highly recommend MDT and will have them back for maintenance on the unit and anything else I might need in the future.
