Excellent experience, Caleb did an outstanding job and explained everything before leaving for the day. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received. I will highly recommend your company to all my friends.
Super service. Very pleased and the service tech was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Just on time and he went directly to the point, no like others that wasting time
Very knowledgeable and friendly service technician.

Nick was here looking at our furnace after it quit working and was up and honest bout everything wrong with it an showed me the issues an was recommended getting a new furnace could've replaced part but Nick couldn't guarantee it would correct one of the issues
Received same day help. The service tech was friendly and knowledgeable. So far my furnace is running fine once his visit. Repair ended up being simple and I was only charged the service fee. Did not push extra services like other repair places.
They came out the next day to repair my furnace and had it running within an hour.
Heat wasn’t kicking on when it should have. Called and came out the next morning. Professional and prompt. Explained everything he did. Answered my bazillion questions I had (I like to understand/learn). Cleaned the flame sensor. Checked my new thermostat wiring for me as well. Will use them in the future.
Called them for service was great and professional. I would highly recommend them.
I had Newark-Heath Heating and Cooling AKA 5 Star quote a new furnace, and they had the best price for what I was looking for with quick turnaround for installation. The salesman was really thorough in reviewing the system and price options with me. I had a 31 year old gas furnace that was at end of life. New furnaces are much smaller, and he suggested a box for the new furnace to sit on to tie my 2 return ducts together and go down to 1 air filter instead of the exist 2 air filters. When the installation crew showed up the next week they did not have the box and had to drive to Columbus to get one, which cost one of the guys a few hours. I also reviewed with the guys that I have a whole house humidifier and a Nest thermostat when it comes time to do the wiring. I made them a wiring diagram as well as I have a dual fuel sysem (2 stage furnace with single state heat pump). Then one of my return ducts came down during the install and the guys had to fix that. Once the ductwork was installed and connected to the new furnace we went to test. They mentioned a few times they do not like Nest thermostats... We could not get the outdoor unit to work during testing, but the 2 stage furnace did work correctly. At this point it was getting late and they asked if they could have someone come back the next day, which I agreed to as I only needed heat at that point. The next day another guy came, and we found that a wire wasnt landed, and there was an issue with the outdoor unit as well. He got it fixed and everything is now running. Overall: All 4 people I interacted with were extremely nice and easy to talk to. However, the actual install itself took a while due to not having all of the materials, has several sharp corners on the ductwork which I will file down and I had to have 2 visits to complete the install in addition to rewiring the humidifier myself (fortunately I work from home so I didn't have to use more time off).
New furnace install, Shane and Caleb were both very knowledgeable and great to work with.
Called at 6 am and had a return call by 7am, and a tech at the door by 8:15 am. Knowledgeable, efficient, fair in pricing and even gave me a discount I didn’t know about. Didn’t try to sell me anything.
First of al, I was so impressed with the positive and very cheerful disposition of my technician, Fred. That is something that seems to be in short supply these days. That first impression really set the tone of the service call. He was very knowledgeable and showed and explained in detail the parts that had issues. No one had ever done that before. It was a great experience and I will definitely use them for all my furnace and air conditioning needs. I also have a free standing gas stove, which although it is not something they deal with, Fred said he knew a couple of people who could possibly help me with it and would direct them my way. Again, the one thing that truly impressed me the most was the genuine attitude of serving the customer. Thank you, Fred and Five Star Home Services.
Dallas was personable, professional, and answered all my questions as he serviced the furnace and humidifier. He did a thorough job and, after watching all that he checked out, I realized more, how important it is to keep having the furnace serviced regularly. Thank you. We really appreciate his early arrival. David and Judy Abel.
Tech showed up on time and got the job done quickly. Reasonably priced. I will use them again in the future.
Very personable and professional, explained all he was doing and what needed to be done to get things back up and running. Pricing was fair would recommend to anybody in need .
One of the greatest experiences I've had with a company in a long time. Completely professional, affordable, and friendly. I had an issue after my original repair (related to the downtime before my heater was repaired) and they came out to double check, diagnosed it right away and got things going again quickly.
This company went out to one of my rental properties to give an estimate on how much it would cost to fix the furnace. It turned out that the entire furnace needed replaced. I was quoted $3500. I said ok well let’s do that, let me try to find a loan and I’ll get back to you. That night I applied for and was approved for a personal loan. I was unaware that the loan I took out would take up to a week to hit my account so I’m freaking out because I have a family literally with no heat and it’s freezing outside. I reach back out to the company 4 days later and I tell them hey this personal loan is still not hitting my account and I can’t wait anymore, I’ll just max out all my credit cards. They said ok we can do that here fill out this contract and put your credit card information in. While I was looking at the contract getting ready to put all my credit card numbers in I came across a section that says THEY OFFERED FINANCING . I literally screen shotted that section of the contract and asked them to explain it to me and their response was “oh your not financing skip that part and put your card numbers in”. Then I said hold up you offer financing? I would much rather finance with you and get the 18 months no interest instead of MAXING out my credit cards !! Then they come back with oh well it will be $500 extra to finance with us. I say fine whatever so they drew up another contact for me to sign at 4k now . I looked at the fine print and the $500 was not for financing the financing was free they just had taken off a $500 discount that was on the previous contract. I just don’t understand why they did not tell me they offered financing from the beginning when they KNEW I was trying to get personal loans and max my credit cards . That left a family in the cold for a week when it could have literally been done the next day if I would have known they offered financing . I even texted them like hey I wish I would have known now I have a ding on my credit for no reason . No
Terrible. My sales rep said that the service technicians would call before they arrived. They did not. My sales rep said payment would be due when the furnace installation was completed. They demanded payment in advance. My sales rep promised me that the furnace would be installed the next day by 5pm without fail. After completing the furnace installation around 4:00 p.m. the installation techs said they wanted to show me how to use the system. They did. Then they explained that I could not use the furnace because I needed a ground rod installed in my yard 6 ft deep to run a ground wire to the furnace, and that they could not do it. I was responsible for doing this. I told them that's not what the sales rep promised. I didn't know anything about a ground wire. I asked to speak to their supervisor. They would not let me. I asked for my check back. They wouldn't give it to me. I told them that it was supposed to be 20° for the next 2 days over the weekend and that without a furnace the pipes in my house would freeze. They just looked at me and said "have a nice day" and left. I immediately went to the bank to stop payment on the check that I had given them. Then I went to the hardware store and bought space heaters to put in the house so the pipes wouldn't freeze. Worst experience ever.
