Gentry Air was hired to inspect the HVAC system for a home we wanted to purchase. They had a great reputation so we thought it would be reliable. The tech inspected and solved a small problem but was unable to inspect the AC but failed to annotate that in his notes. The first time we started using the AC it was weak and couldn't keep up. Luckily we had a home warranty to call to come out. They sent a technician from Sears who found the evaporator coil was totally rusted out and leaking. Either Gentry failed to inspect the coils or didn't report they were rusted out. I called and spoke to the owner, Jennifer, she was not helpful. She acknowledged that her technicians report could be misunderstood because he failed to mention the AC wasn't inspected but still claimed the work was done correctly even though they missed obvious rusted coils!? She would not do anything for me (refund, send a technician, or anything). She basically argued with me for 5 minutes and then hung up on me. It is some of the worst customer service I have experienced and zero accountability for her companies mistake. I have heard they are too busy for their own good and reject work all the time. Beware of this company!!! If the work is not done right, they will not make it right!!!
Great service best I've found and do recommend. However, my 1 complaint is that the technician could use better manners when in someone's house and try not to insult both homeowners trying to be cute and funny.
Gentry Air is responsible for my in-laws air in Stoney Creek. I had to be at the their house for a routine maintenance call back in July. The gut was supposed to installed new filters. He did not! He put all three filters in the closet. I know this because I watched him!. I went outside to just check on the rest of the exterior. The air guy walks out and sees a neighbor mowing her lawn and he looks at me and says, "nice rack". He then proceeds to grab the hose to wash some debris off the unit. I walk inside to tell my wife what he just said. He then leaves. Five days later my wife was picking up her parents mail and hears water running. We call a plumber and it turns out the air guy did not turn off the hose. It had been running for at least five days! My in-laws get their water bill for $1,377!!! Guess what! Gentry refuses to pay saying we have no proof!!!
Our neighbors recommended so we called. It was after hours and the voice recording said we could press a number to leave a message for the on call technician. They never called. We had to scramble for another solution the next day.
Tried to call for service just now for an elderly customer as a favor to her on behalf of her warranty company and the lady was rude and unprofessional!!! Customer was paying for service herself but I guess they don’t want the business. Shame!

They were professional, on time and did a great job. They identified the problem and arranged to have it fixed. Can't ask for better than that.
Gentry had installed my AC units when the houses was built in 1997 and serviced them ever since. When the units started failing in August 2021 they replaced them on short notice. The price was extremely competitive, the work was done very well and the new units are performing fine - great job and highly recommended!
We have used Gentry for 27 years. They always show up when they say. The repairman had to rig a part because they couldn't get the part needed. So thankful because the only other alternative would have been to replace the whole system.
We have used Gentry Air for the last 9 years. The service people are knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!!
The team that installed my AC unit was very friendly ,courteous and knowledgeable about their job. They were here on time and he completed the work in one day I would recommend them to anyone

I cannot recommend Gentry Air highly enough. We have been their customers for years. They are both knowledgeable and kind. We have been impressed with every interaction. They have gone out of their way to meet our needs, including adjusting payment plans when we needed extra time. They care about their customers.

I worked fir Gentry Air Inc for many many years and quality is the #1 priority. 15 years later I live in Alabama and have become a licensed contractor as well, everything I learned come from Gentry and I highly recommend Gentry Air Inc.
I had a complicated heating repair that required extra troubleshooting to find the cause and repair. The technician was determined to find the cause at the least cost to us. He and the Gentry staff were considerate and responsive as they worked through the issues. Very impressed with their company.
