In diagnosing the problem with my heat pump this week, the Bullman technician said it could be solved by a part that cost about $25 and could be installed in about 30 minutes. I told him to go ahead and order it. The next day, I got a call from Bullman saying the service manager had priced the job at $348, with half paid up front before they would order the part. Totally puzzled by the preposterous jump in cost, I asked to speak with the service manager. He didn't bother to call me back so I called again the next day. When we did finally speak, he hemmed and hawed a lot and wound up saying there would be a minimum labor charge of $205 for that 30-minute install and an 'upcharge' on the $25 part that would result in a cost to me of more than $100. Coupled with the fact that no one followed up on a previous request to reinstitute my annual service contract, my experience with Bullman has been very unsatisfactory.

Update: 2/13/23 The GM reached out and apologized for what happened. I appreciate that and will continue to use their service. Thanks Nathan. Original review 2/6/23 The service visit went fine, normal maintenance. I paid for a year of service as was quoted to me about a month before. However, the following week after my paid visit I received a call from the office telling me they quoted me incorrectly and she then asked for 50% more on top of what I already paid. That was very unprofessional. Reminds me of tactics used at the Michael Scott Paper Company.
