This company has taken a turn for worse unfortunately. They’ve been this property for over 10 years. Dawn was extremely rude and unprofessional, no regard or care for customers. I used to have positive experiences with their previous staff. It's hard to believe an established company would keep such an employee as Dawn. Stay away and choose as company that appreciates your business. I've worked with the company multiple times for installs and maintenance calls. They installed a commercial grade hot water tank that was malfunctioning after 2 years, which is ok, but after this customer service from Dawn I will never be contacting them again.
We needed a plumber/ HVAC persons and they provided both with our house we just bought. Would recommend highly ‼️
Boiler went down so we had no hot water, heat, etc. They were extremely responsive and had someone to the house within an hour. The technician was very knowledgeable and had us up and running within a half hour. Highly recommend! Eric
The scheduler in the heating department is the absolute worse. Technicians called two days after the fact, no heat call, I cancel them prior to arrival or any services performed. She calls me threatening to take me to collections? For what? No services were rendered, there's no service agreement in place explicitly stating your policy, nor did anyone call the day before or the morning of to confirm the appointment. You didn't do your job nor did you communicate effectively. The owner has been great, but I highly recommend looking at this new staff in place.
Do not use this business if you need a quick turn around on a repair or replacement. I called them for help with a broken furnace on the night of 12/4/2022, they had a technician come out on 12/7/2022 and the technician told us we would get a quote for repair and replacement the next day. It is 12/16/2022, in the middle of a winter storm in Syracuse, NY and we have not received a call, email, or quote for the broken furnace. I did follow up on Tuesday, 12/13/2022 about the quote we have not received they told us it would be a "few more days". Yea well in a few more days we were frozen over. I called a different local company and they said they can install a new furnace tomorrow and gave me a quote THE SAME DAY. Don't waste your time with this company. Will never be using them again and don't recommend them at all.
Had the pleasure of using this company when our furnace kept dying out. The supervisor even came out on a Saturday away from his family obligations to help assist and we were without heat in the middle of the winter. Then fast forward and our water heater wasn’t doing much. Again same supervisor came out and assessed the situation. Told us everything we needed to know. Sat there and explained things, broke it all down so we could understand. Even showed us a few tricks to get things moving along in the future. Service was fast, reliable , and very affordable ! Would 100 out of 10 recommend this company!!
There’s nothing worse than losing AC on a hot summer day, potter responded very fast! Within the day it was back up and running and I was done sweating! Great customer service, smart and all around nice people!! 10/10 would recommend!
Potter Perrone answered immediately to an after hours emergency call. The crew that showed up did a through inspection and fixed my backed up plumbing issue in an hour, honest and reasonably priced I won’t go anywhere else for any of my heating cooling or plumbing needs again!
Definitely will not recommend to family, friends and coworkers. Took 6 weeks to repair a leak in a tankless water heater. The blame was passed around to the distributor and vendor. Who really knows what really happened. Had to beg for any repair costs before repair started. Never given an itemized cost of the repair before or after repair, even after asked repeatedly. Leak returned 6 weeks later in a different spot and billed full weekend charge of $270 for a 2 minute diagnosis. Could have been given a courtesy visit or reduced charge since the repair process the first time around was horrible, to say the least. Wondering if the length of time it took to repair the first leak caused damage and caused the second leak. Feel ripped off.
Reached out to Potter Heating & Air Conditioning for a quote on my hot water heater and my furnace. They sent out someone to look at the furnace but never actually sent out the quote. I set up an appointment for the hot water heater and they never showed or communicated with me. I've called several times and my calls are never returned. Very unprofessional office staff. Will not be using them.
Unfortunately my poor experience trying to get pricing out of this outfit has led me to write my first review. I recently had a commercial project that I wanted to price out, I reached out and was told to email two gentleman about it...no response. I followed up on it several days later to yet again gain no response. I called back to follow up for the 3rd time and I get a response that its their way of saying they are not interested. I find that extremely disrespectful since it leaves me hanging in the breeze thinking maybe they were working on it. As business that serves people there is no telling when work could fall out or a project be dropped leading you to need another to fill its place. Could have been mine but instead you ignore projects rather then politely responding your not interested or putting a number together with a respective lead time. I have been in the commercial industry for awhile now and have many more years to come and I will not be recommending anyone to reach out for a bid. Sad to see such a small city plagued with such business ethics.
A terrific company, well managed, superb skills, courteous, and knowledgeable staff. Quite affordable as well. I would not think of going anywhere else for my plumbing and HVAC service requirements.
Called Perrone to have a potential leak checked behind the bathroom wall; Mark was very professional and thorough in checking it out for me. He even checked a couple of other things I'd noticed around the house, and answered a few questions I had. It ended up not being a plumbing issue so no repair was involved
Called service number at 8:00 p.m. for a plumbing emergency and was told on call person would call me back-never received a call back!
We had Potter come to our home to check our A/C unit because it was not working properly. They discovered a freon leak, so they did add 2 gallons? $500 later, they said, we needed to replace the unit, but they would credit the $500. toward the final bill. They NEVER called with the estimate. We called and requested it again- and were told they "lost our paperwork but they would get it right over to us. Again- NEVER received it. Ended up going with another company.
Install new Main Line Valve Simple huh?, not as expected. Matt, the plumber was awesome, but the city employees could have been better. The most difficult part of this were the incompetent city employees who were extremely late, and had no clue where the valve-curve box for my home is located. UPDATE: January, 2021 I had 2 indoor hose bibbs to replace, Potter showed up on time to estimate which parts will be needed. They replaced both bibbs with brass 1/4 turn (ball) hose bibbs, and the cost was very reasonable.
We needed to have Merv 13 filters installed in our AC unit for our boutique fitness studio. From the first phone call we had to all the follow up and to everyone I spoke to in the company - everyone was so professional, positive and kind! One of the best experiences I have ever had with service to our studio! Highly recommend!!
To the person who answered the phone this morning, June 23, at 8:00. You recommended Crane Company to “snake” out my Mother’s sewer in Syracuse. Kris, the tech, was amazing. He was at her home in approximately 1 hour. He was highly professional and got the job done! Thanks Potter Heating and Plumbing for recommending such a great company, you certainly helped us out, when no one else would even return my calls.
Used them twice on different issues and they are great!
Excellent work. A bit pricey. Competent and knowledgeable service personnel. I think if you would like returning customers a discount would nice.
