They were nice enough to call me back to let me know they didn't do the type of work I needed. That's something most other companies can't be bothered with.
Purchased new furnace and a/c. Very professional, great pricing.
Our furnace became suddenly inoperable last winter, and we found ourselves in urgent need of a replacement. These folks gave us a detailed and informative estimate, squeezed us into their schedule so we wouldn't be stuck without heat for a week, and charged us less than we were quoted by two other highly rated companies. In the course of connecting power to the new furnace they also somehow managed to notice a very tiny amount of moisture inside our breaker box, and then kindly took time out of their day to help us figure out the source of this totally unrelated problem, so that we were able to get an electrician in before any damage occurred. I have been remiss in not writing them a five star review much sooner, but at this point I can add that the new furnace has been purring along beautifully all winter.

I am so fortunate to have found this family-owned and operated company. For many years they've taken care of my heating and air conditioning. They replaced an oil furnace with a gas furnace when gas service became available in our area, they installed central air conditioning, they installed an on-demand gas water heater, and they ran a pipe from our natural gas line to our outside grill with both an inside and outside valve to turn off the supply. In each case, the equipment they recommended has functioned admirably. Finally, they continue to service our furnace and air conditioner every year, cleaning the furnace, replacing a large HEPA air filter, and cleaning the air conditioner. The crew is professional and friendly. Their work is excellent and the charges for their service are very reasonable.

Called them on Monday, they (Roman) showed up on time the next day with a courtesy heads up phone call beforehand. He explained everything he was doing, very professional, very courteous, answered all of my questions, and knew his stuff. I’ll be calling these guys for all future furnace and AC repairs. A no brainer. Wish they were all this good.
I just want to “Boast” while I “Post” this wonderful business! I want to take a minute to shout out Peter Jennings and Roman who have saved my 23 year old Central Air! Called today, was blessed with a visit today, when I thought I would have to wait until tomorrow! Heating and Air Conditioning issues? Efficient and so knowledgeable! Wonderful Company! 👍
I initially called Peter regarding an intermittent issue with my old furnace. He didn't charge me for the first visit since he couldn't confirm the problem as "solved" I ended up getting a new furnace (my choice), and I had researched the cost of one. His costs are very reasonable. He and his team installed my new furnace in a day. He made sure I understood everything that is done, how the system is supposed to work and he stressed the importance of reaching out to him if I had any questions. Peter and his team found some issues in my house that were not related to the furnace, but were safety issues that he didn't feel comfortable leaving and ended up fixing. It would be hard-pressed to find another HVAC company that is affordable, communicative, and this supportive. I highly recommend M.D. Ewald.
Had an issue with our furnace in the fall, previous furnace was from 1998. Pete was recommended from a friend and came over right away to diagnose the issue. He said I had a cracked heat exchanger and recommended a replacement. Felt very good about his professionalism and had him do the replacement. What a great decision! It was about to turn fall and I could not afford to have problems going into the winter. He and his team did a tremendous job and completed their work in a day. He showed me the failed heat exchanger and his diagnosis and replacement suggestion was spot on. Price was also lower than I expected but don't tell Pete that! Excellent work to Pete and team. I'm glad to have found such a reliable, trustworthy, and responsive company.
Such a pleasure to deal with. Very responsive and easy to work with. They are a small business so they have their limits, but I’d prefer to work with them than any other businesses I’ve had experience with. The kind of experience you walk away from feeling like you’ve gained a friend.
I HIGHLY recommend M D Ewald if you are looking for HVAC services (repair and installation of heating and air conditioning units). The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. Every aspect of working with Pete and his team exceeded my expectations. Truly a small business that can be trusted to provide outstanding customer service and knowledge at unbeatable rates. They definitely earned my loyalty as a customer.

You're having issues with your AC and a friend refers you to call "Pete" and gives you his number. You call Pete and he yells at you for calling his personal number. "I was on the phone with a client, I'm getting drenched in rain. You need to call Tracy at the office and whatever you want she'lll set up. Don't call this number again!" CLICK. No, don't think I'll be calling Tracy any time soon. Pete must be doing very well for himself if he can treat potential clients that way. Had I known it was a personal # and there was a # for the office, obviously would have called the office. Glad that I did call the wrong number though, otherwise I would've had Pete installing a new AC unit for my family and I can only imagine how that would go.
I won't call anyone else! Pete, Peter, and Roman are polite, friendly, and know their stuff. They are quick to respond - I had no heat on a frigid day last week and they were here within the hour to fix the issue. They are honest and do not try to sell you things you don't need. I have recommended them to friends and family without reservation and everyone has been very happy with them. Pete even returned my call while driving to his vacation to walk me through a simple repair over the phone. They are the best!
We contacted MD Ewald for a recent cleaning and inspection of our boiler, on a recommendation of a friend. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. They were extremely quick to reply, as well as get us in the schedule. Peter was not only prompt, friendly, and professional, but he also provided us with valuable information about our boiler that we didn't know. He did not try to coerce us into spending any more money than was necessary, and was upfront about our options. We will definitely be using them in the future, and recommend them to anyone in need of cleaning or repairs.
