We had a real nightmare starting w another company who failed to fix our boiler, throwing parts at it, charged us, then referred us to Cooney. The professional team at Cooney determined that we, in fact, needed a new boiler. They knew we have small children in the house, were extra careful to shut down the old system to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. They brought out heaters to keep us warm until the new system was installed. They quickly addressed some glitches (stemming from the way the original system was installed years ago). Their team was professional and more than helpful. They were A+ in every respect including being fair in their cost. BTW we started in JUNE w the original company because we didn’t want to have problems in the middle of the winter. That left us in December w no heat. To the rescue was Cooney!
My dad (a senior and existing customer )called to get furnace serviced, no heat , 20 degree day. Tech came out, got furnace running, shut it down stating it needed a deep cleaning and left. 20 DEGREES .said they would call in 2 days to schedule cleaning, they never called. got another contractor there got furnace running in 5 minutes and he cleaned it , he said it wasnt that dirty anyways. COONEY CLEANED IT LAST YEAR. talked to Mark and said there is nothing they can do about it, they charged him $350.
Always the best customer service. Joe helped me over the phone today to get the system reset. Working perfectly. Very knowledgeable staff always. Joe helped to keep me calm in a situation where i had he heat. Thank you to the answering service and Joe todsy. Will always use and recommend this place of business.
Not sure why a closed company would be sitting on my street at 7:50 PM on a Sunday. I hope someone isn’t pretending to be your company.
Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, honest and courteous. On schedule and a pleasure to work with. I’m not easily impressed…I was very impressed with the service quality.
quick through and fair
Beyond stellar in times of woe. With HVAC places not having enough techs, Cooney comes through with flying colors and painted toes. Cooney has, and is, doing things right by taking care of their existing Clients FIRST! Un like greedy, narrow minded, places like Vanhee, who try and put money first, and not customer satisfaction, of which will put them out of business soon enough. So thank you Cooney for being the Best in your field, and taking care of us as well as you have in times of discord. You and your top notch crew, are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to a life long relationship with you all. Especially is you come get a pedicure with us.
I had my 15 year old furnace replaced recently by Cooney and they couldn't have been more accomodating. First they (Ron) saved me about 2k in price by recommending the lower tier Carrier furnace to replace the currently installed Carrier furnace, stating it gave the same performance as my 15 year old version. After explaining the additional benefits of the upgraded furnace, he suggested the benefits were not worth the cost for my situation. Second, given the current supply crisis, Cooney had assuranced me that units were in stock and had my new furnace installed within a week, with a 1/2 day installation time done by friendly and cleaniness consious technicians. And third, when the AC unit later discovered to be not working due to a part accidentally not being re-installed they came over that day and fixed the problem. I highly recommend thier service.
Cooney has always been very responsive, timely and professional. We live in a renovated factory, and Cooney understands our unique needs when it comes to heating and cooling. At the start of the season our AC unit was blowing warm air. Called Cooney and a technician arrived in the time they said he would (a few hours later). He was very thorough, and explained what he found. He fixed the issue in under an hour. He was very professional.
Company gave an 8:30am—11am window for their service call. Technician called to inform he will be coming at 8:30am since he has to go to another service call outside town and then asked what brand of furnace. When he arrived at the house, he had already decided that he may not be able to fix the furnace even before looking at it. He went to the cellar, took off the furnace cover and pulled out a part then said he can’t do anything about it, we need a new furnace and his boss will call for the estimate. Billed us $165 for the 5 minute “non-service”. Two weeks after, still haven’t heard from them regarding the estimate for a new furnace. Very unfortunate experience with this company. They service my church so I thought they can be trusted but it was a costly mistake on my part. It’s a less than 1 star for me.
Quick to get back to you when called, came right out within 2 hrs from the initial call
They charged an elderly couple $700 in April 2021 to repair a motor that could not have cost more than $100. That motor failed in January 2022 after just getting out of the hospital, they had no heat. Cooney wanted $300 to look at it and that conclusion would have been the same as the last time, another $700. If they had suggested to replace the 30 year old furnace instead, it would have happened back in April, but they chose to take the quick money instead. The system is being replaced this week with high efficiency equipment. Cooney lost a long term customer. In response to Cooney's request to contact them, they can check with the owner, Scott to check his messages left prior to my review. I gave them a chance to work through this, but they never returned my calls. My name is not in their records, but in my detailed message they will see who I am representing; a long term customer and what the issue was. If Scott would like to call me, he is more than welcome and he has my number.
Very nice people to work with
Very professional and great customer service.
I just purchased a house, and recently found the gas furnace in my house is not working,so i called Cooney, The technician came found out that the wiring of new AC installed by previous owner of the house is messed up,it makes the furnace not function well,so the technician went up and down stairs, outside and inside the house like 20 times to rewire furnace and AC,explaining everything I asked, finally solved the problem, good and experienced, trusted company.
My central air unit wasn't working. I called Cooney and they sent a technician out to look at the ac unit. The technician promptly fixed the problem and had the unit running. He also cleaned the ac unit and checked to make sure the ac was blowing out the cold air at the correct temperature. I couldn't be happier with Cooney AC & Heat. I'll definitely have them come out in the fall to clean my furnace and make sure it's running properly.
so much ac and heating
I decided I wanted a ductless-split system installed in my home. I called Cooney Air Conditioning & Heating for an estimate. Ron Stevens (Systems Specialist) met with me at my house to discuss the matter. Ron was great… straight-forward, personable, and professional. I decided to go ahead with the installation based on my conversation with Ron. The install team, led by Brian, were also personable and professional. Everything was installed cleanly and I am very much enjoying the ductless-split system over the window AC units that I’ve used in the past. The ductless-split system cools down my house within minutes and is very quiet. I love it. Thank you Cooney!
They always do ! Great job
Had a great experience with the tech who came to our home to install a whole-home humidifier and do an a/c inspection. He was courteous, did the job professionally, and explained everything to me as he worked. He also shared additional information regarding our heating/cooling system and duct work to help save money. I appreciate professionals sharing their knowledge and doing a professional job at the same time while remaining trustworthy. Keep it up!
