As a regular customer I found it to be remarkable that when I ran into trouble two messages were ignored and no return phone calls came after a week. When routine services are provided for an established customer for years it seems unethical and unprofessional to not communicate when a problem occurs. What good is a service when they won’t speak to you. There’s an expression that goes if you have a dog that doesn’t come when you call it, you don’t have a dog. New York City is a tough place. It’s been tougher in light of the inexplicably poor service provided by this company Keep looking. They are ok for routine stuff but you are paying them to take care of you during tough dilemmas

Four Star AC did a great job in replacing my WSHP unit. Mike was responsive and helpful in suggesting options while being honest and transparent. I compared pricing across multiple companies and found theirs to be the most reasonable. Davy and the tech team were professionals, arrived on time and completed the job smoothly ahead of schedule. This team is a breath of fresh air (no pun intended) after my previous experience with a different HVAC company. Would highly recommend.
Great experience all around with Four Star! They were extremely responsive (and easy to work with) when setting up the appointment. The technicians were on time and very professional - fixed my HVAC unit very quickly. I am already recommending their services to all my neighbors!
Four Star AC was absolutely 5-star. From the first phone conversation I got the feeling they want to work and get the job done at a fair price. No tricks and hidden fees. Many HVAC companies like to tell you cleaning a unit means overcharging for every little detail of what was once called just a thorough cleaning for a flat price. They work fast and they completely understand the entire process. They took the unit apart and got down to the details without changing the price or complaining that the unit was dirty.
Tasos and his team were great to work with. They brought our residential project in on time and on budget. In addition the guys were very neat and cleaned up after themselves and were very friendly to have around. The units are great and so quiet. We are very pleased...thanks Tasos!
Great service! We have relied on Four Star since buying our first Manhattan apartment, almost 20 years ago. We have used them to purchase and install window AC units, and for annual cleaning and maintenance. Their office team and installers are always reliable, accountable, and honest. They provide top of the line equipment at a very reasonable price. They are a pleasure to work with, and we have never had a problem with their equipment.
My building has a unique facade with special requirements for installation. Four Star Air Conditioning knew the building and came prepared. The removal of the old unit and the new installation was done quickly, cleanly, and professionally. They were a pleasure to work with.
Four Star A/C is the best company to use for all your A/C needs. Very respectful workers and they know there job. I would highly recommend the company.
these guys are awesome - very fair quote and efficient installation of a multi-unit system in Brooklyn brownstone. Were very flexible to our needs and unique set-up. They were very professional during installation, working cleanly and efficiently. Communication throughout process (with both the workers on site and also Tasos/Mike themselves) was excellent. Would highly recommend.
These guys are terrible. Unresponsive. Use other companies in the area for better service Not sure how they're still in business
They installed central AC in my first home and I called them back when I moved into my new home. They replaced my boiler, gave me an entirely new AC system and installed radiant heat in my new home. For the past three years I have had no issues at all. They are always responsive. Super clean and tidy. Couldn't have asked for a better company. I refer them to everyone.
After getting a few estimates to have central AC installed, I decided to go with four star AC. Not only did they give me the best price, but they explained the different types of options available and helped me decide which design would be the best for my house. The job was started and completed on time and they were professional along the way. Even after the job was completed, Taso the owner, followed up to make sure everything was running smoothly and to see if I had any other questions.
Very irresponsive and terrible customer service. A lack of follow up or follow through on appointments or a job completed. Too much hastle, but had to deal with them for apartment complex. Save yourself a headache and a working AC unit and use another company. Tasos the owner the worst of the company.
Had an issue with my hvac over a real bad heatwave and Tasos was able to assist me over the phone. Stayed with me until I got it to work again and didn't charge a penny. I took down his info and will def. call these guys if I have any more issues. Good to know that there are company's out there that still provide great service. A keeper in my address book.
