I called mikes about repairing a haier window unit. He told me I could either buy a new unit by myself and hire him to install because the cost of the repair would be too big. He also suggested if I felt handy I could rewire the power plug by myself. No upsell here. I rewired my plug by myself and my ac works again. I appreciate an honest business like this and if I was in the position to hire them for a commercial install I definitely would.
Jules (there is no Mike in the business anymore) is obsessive about doing it once and getting it right. He can seem a bit demanding, but it’s out of complete professional commitment to delivering the right AC solution for the long term for the customer and having the installation go off without a hitch. And that’s exactly how it went down. We have a very tricky apartment, with a lot of unusually shaped, high ceilinged, open concept space. Thanks to Mike AC it is now quietly and efficiently cooled throughout. Outstanding job!

The most disrespectful person. He answered the phone and was constantly ranting and yelling at me! I kept trying to explain to him that I didn’t need a whole repair just a wire change and I couldn’t even get 2 words out. I then asked him why he was yelling at me and his response was “I’m sorry I’m not like this there’s just so many calls coming in”… UH DUUUUH THATS CALLED BUSINESS. Smh and then he proceeded to cut me off and yell at me.
Carl and Rey arrived on time, they got my old ac out and popped the new one in really quickly. The two gentlemen worked as a team and that makes all of the difference. They cleaned up when they were done and took the old AC to the basement as requested.

Jules and Carl did a great job installing two ACs that needed to be mounted to exterior storm windows. Definitely did a better job than I ever could.

Same day, quick service to get window unit installed. Jules was very nice, professional, and detailed making sure I had the correct unit installed as soon as possible. Were honest and upfront about charges but could’ve paid a lot less if I were to buy and install the unit on my own. Worth the hassle and stress of not having to do it on my own though as I couldn’t have done the lifting and correct installation alone in that quick of a time window. Jules and Carl were friendly, professional, and set me up with everything in an hour. Would definitely recommend their service to others.
Jules, Carl and Ray were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional, punctual and focused and went above and beyond to ensure that my AC and new sleeve were installed as soon as possible, despite all the rules my bldg threw at them and a few construction/plumbing curve balls that would have surely stumped others. Jules was great at communicating what was happening at every stage of the process and kept me posted on ETAs and estimated costs. Ray was able to remove 30 year old concrete and a 30 year old sleeve and grill and get my new AC unit up and running in under 3 hours. Carl was meticulously neat and really cared about making sure nothing was damaged. Their price is unbeatable for what you're getting - and the excellent work was executed with care and pride. I am so glad to have worked with Mike's AC and highly recommend them to anyone.
Late last summer my big old wall A/C started flooding my dining room; All winter long I dreaded having to service or replace it every time I looked at the thing. Jules Lupowitz quickly contacted me in response to my reaching out over the website. He explained what was happening and what was necessary to correct it. I got a quick appointment and Jules and Carl Beckles promptly arrived at the scheduled time. Despite the A/C being big, heavy, and mounted high up in the wall, they got it out and into my backyard with no problem, where they cleaned out a considerable amount of dust, mold, and other junk that was clogging up the drainage channel and the rest of the unit in general. They demonstrated for me in my backyard how water was now properly draining out the back of the unit, post cleaning. Re-installation with new insulating foam was quick, and the results are fantastic. The A/C has it's old chill back too! Jules is very knowledgeable and kept me well informed throughout. Things proceeded exactly as he described in our initial chat with no surprises. Both Jules and Carl are very pleasant to talk with. This saved me a considerable amount of money over having to do a replacement. I strongly recommend calling Mikes for A/C service.
Their response to my phonecall was prompt and cooperative and friendly. I also lucked into same-day service because they had a cancellation in my neighborhood. They gave my 4-year-old window A/C unit its very first cleaning and were equipped to do that on site. They reinstalled the unit properly and efficiently, correcting for mistakes by the original installer that had resulted in rainstorm leaks and a less than attractive appearance as well. Their "style" is idiosyncratic in the best way, AND they really know their field! I'm very grateful to have them in my corner!

I found out within the first minute of the call that Mikes AC was not in my service area, but Jules stayed on the phone and gave me good detailed honest advice on how to clean out my AC unit. He was a big help.
Called in to get a quote on cleaning my Window AC unit and spoke to Jules. He told me to save my money on a clean, gave me step my step instructions to do it myself, and then recommended several models of AC units I could get to replace the old one. He's a hell of a stand up guy, 10/10!
