"Keefer and Outlaw Mechanical are who you need and want to perform your HVAC installation, maintenance, and repairs." I am in the process of building a detached 36'x40' garage/shop using a well known post frame (pole) barn company's product, and wanted to have in-floor radiant heating. I tried working with a few other local mechanical/plumbing company's, but they all would not listen to what I wanted done -- help me get the radiant tubing installed for the concrete pour, and do so in accordance with BernCo code requirements. Keefer listened to me, worked with me on the tubing and installation required to meet the approved design and county code, and offered great advice and feedback to make it all come together beautifully--see attached photos. He did it on time for the project, always courteous and coordinated with me before coming over (didn't just show up whenever he felt like it, unlike another local company), showed up on time, did fantastic work efficiently and quickly (he did in one day, by himself, what another local company said would take 3-4 people 2 days) and to code-everything passed on first inspection, and did all of this for a very reasonable price. I will continue to seek out Keefer and Outlaw Mechanical's advice and help for all my HVAC needs, and I highly recommend you do the same! Thanks Keefer! Michael

I’m a property manager at a ranch in NM. I had nothing but problems with the boilers before Outlaw Mechanical started working at the ranch. I was always asking around and looking for a good recommendation and that was how I found Outlaw Mechanical. Keefer came highly recommended and what a nice surprise when finally, somebody with high expertise came to the ranch. There is no doubt or question why Keefer calls himself “The Boiler Expert.” He is for sure the best in the region. Keefer can troubleshoot any problem and come up with a good solution. Keefer did the inspection on our house and recommended a couple of fixes which we had him implement. Everything worked fine last winter but as it gets cold this season, the system isn't working. I tried to schedule the yearly maintenance as recommended/required to maintain the warranty, but that isn't going so well.. I tried to schedule maintenance about a month ago (1st of October) through their online portal and haven't heard anything back. I tried to call but it goes straight to voicemail and the message says they are booked out until December. I also tried to email asking a very basic question to try and get my system back online but nada. At this point, I'm just going to get maintenance from someone else. I need my heat working before next year.
Keefer is a perfectionist, uses only the best tools and materials. Quality and long-term customer satisfaction are his focus. The best!
Keefer at Outlaw Mechanical was exactly what we needed. We’d been stood up and oversold before Keefer came on the scene. He explained everything, told us all our options and didn’t question what we chose to do. He was always on time, friendly, professional, knowledgeable. We will only call Outlaw Mechanical for our boiler needs from now on.
Keefer installed my new heater and air conditioning system. His work is absolutely flawless, looks great and he took the time to thoroughly explain to me how the system worked, the maintenance requirements, and happily answered all of my questions. Additionally, I had to be out of the house for work during the install and I completely trusted him to install the unit as we discussed. I was even able to leave a key for his entry and he ensured my house was secure upon his departure. He thoroughly cleaned his work areas and left my house in great shape, and now with a new furnace and AC! I can't recommend Keefer and Outlaw Mechanical enough!!
Foreign boiler...parts from Germany via Canada...when it works...stellar...nice and hot...when it does not...CALL KEEFER...four visits...multiple hours on the phone to customer service to diagnose the problem and ultimately go as far as reestablish the working code. Most people would have quit. Outlaw does due diligence to solve the problem, going out of their way to make sure things are working perfectly.
Keefer came out and spruced up my old boiler system. I didn't find him expensive compared to other work I've had done, and his work was a higher caliber. Talking to him, he's definitely an expert with boiler systems and he pointed out issues and thing he would do differently with the original install and previous service work letting me know that he cares to deliver a top of the line service. In the future when my old system needs work again, or just replaced, I'll be calling him. 10 months after last review: My wife and I are in the process of selling our house and had an inspector come by and talk nonsense about our boiler system which caused the buyers to request an inspection and service by a professional. Of course I contact Keefer and he gets out within a week. He looks over the system, writes up the report saying the system is in perfect working order while making it clear the inspector didn't know what he was talking about. I wish every contractor could be like Keefer and wish he was located where we are moving to. There's a reason he has nothing but 5* reviews.
They do great work. They provide services that are without flaw and within budget. I highly recommend.
The boiler died on the coldest night we have had so far this year. I called a large company in Albuquerque to come out and have a look. I decided we needed a second opinion and fortunately found Outlaw Mechanical. Keefer came out, got the boiler running but suggested we replace it due to the age and cost of repair. We decided to replace the hot water heater as well. Keefer did a fantastic job! As soon as the units arrived he got to work and both boiler and water heater were installed in two days! Keefer took the time to explain the new boiler to me. He cleaned up every day before he left. I am very happy with all of the work he did. Highly recommended! A pleasure to do business with Outlaw Mechanical!

Ditto on all the glowing reviews. I had an old non-condensing boiler that required replacement. I had performed some research and I wanted to replace it with a condensing high efficiency boiler. Keefer (Owner) came out for the initial review, and put together three different quotes for me to choose from. I have no doubt that any one would have served me well. He encountered a problem with materials delivery, so in order to keep me on schedule he offered to upgrade my boiler at his cost(!) His team showed up on time, finished quickly, left an exceptionally clean worksite and the install looks fantastic. His team rarely uses soldered copper connections; they have invested in tools to use swaged / crimped connections which are safer for your home, makes for a much faster install, and looks great. My end solution is comprised of components that I was unaware were available.. such as variable speed floor circulation pumps. The final "tuning" of the system includes an outdoor temperature reset, the variable speed pump which only runs to maintain a specific system temperature differential, and upgraded thermostat and valve control. There is a ton of theory behind getting a boiler system designed and implemented properly. This guy does it right. I'm looking forward to a comfortable winter, with lower heating costs.
