I couldn’t be more impressed with the service, honesty and commitment to keeping it affordable.
Lou and his team handled our emergency situation professionally, promptly and safely. We didn't feel like were being ripped off. We got 4 quotes, and this company acted the best during the estimate, and gave us the best rate for our boiler replacement. They were very respectful of our home too. Loved how they laid out tarps to keep our home clean and even swept surrounding areas in case of excess dirt or dust. Also really like how they labeled valves. Very professional company and provides great insight! A big plus, we were able to keep our dog inside the house when they were here. Happy about that because though we didn't have he at the moment, it was freezing outside. Thanks for caring about us and Waffle!
We've used A Degree Above on numerous occasions when we were maintaining an older unit. Every single time we've called them for service, they came on time and were quick to diagnose the issue. The first time was for a blown capacitor. It was a quick fix and a low cost fix. Never ONCE got an upsell. Just the honest truth and diagnosis and fix. The second time was when a squirrel had climbed down the exhaust vent and gotten stuck and died. Again, they came out, diagnosed the problem and fixed it charging a VERY reasonable fee. I love the whole crew. They're quick, honest and fix your problems and leave. In a sea of slimy tradespeople, A Degree Above is a breath of fresh air.

The complete team was very professional and helpful. From the office to the service technicians they always kept me informed of what was going on and were always on time. It's a pleasure dealing with a degree above! They have just gained a customer for life. Great job to Lou and Jared for taking care of the problem quickly. I would recommend this company to anyone.
Great experience with this company. Our central air is working better than ever. Paul and his team are professional and are quick to respond to any issues or requests. Would definitely recommend this company to family and friends!
These guys are the best around. They have done numerous service calls for me both on the heating system and air conditioning system along with an install of a brand new unit on the first floor. My most recent experience with A Degree Above was today when I came home to see the thermostat reading 82 degrees. They had a technician on site in one hour on a feel like temperature of 102 degrees outside. Took care of the issue quickly and had the unit back up and running. Would recommend them for any HVAC needs. Thank you A Degree Above!
I just had Lou come out and work on diagnosing and repairing both of my AC Units. Lou was truly a Godsend. He came on time, spent time to go through both the units, gave me his honest advice and opinion and left me with a more than reasonable repair bill. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this because whenever you call companies, you feel like everyone is out there to rip you off! He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, professional and beyond everything honest! Thank you again for your help with our units Lou. I would recommend his team to anyone with closed eyes.

My unit was installed 6 years ago. I was not told to get permits. While it is written in the contract, they did the work without permits. The inspector came to my home and now, 6 years later. I had to pay $100’s for a permit. They also installed a water heater without a permit, when I contacted them, I was told we don’t have a plumber and you have to find one. I now have to pay $100’s for a permit and a plumber to settle with the town. After a conversation with Cheryl and Lou, Lou told me in a very threatening tone, “come down and we’ll settle it.” I’m the home owner, not a contractor, they should have made sure the job is inspected after the finish. Makes common sense to me, obviously, not to them. Very unprofessional. Keep in mind, they do not offer 24/7 service. If your A/C goes down on the weekend during the summer, you have to call someone else like I did. Shame on you Lou!
Paul & Jared from A Degree Above fixed our furnace, which didn't ignite properly. They were very efficient. They kept me posted via text and arrived a little earlier than scheduled, which was good. They identified the issue quickly, repaired it and suggested ways to keep it from happening again (like changing the filter more frequently). Both gentlemen were very polite and customer friendly, a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend A Degree Above Heating & Cooling and will definitely call them again if I need repairs.
Paul was very experienced and knowledgeable. He fixed the issue and then took extra time to ensure the system was working properly. Very thorough and honest company, I would recommend them highly.

I finally found an air conditioning company I can trust. Lou is an honest, knowledgable and professional. I called at 7pm on a friday and he was here ther next morning. I am so appreciative of the service call, particularly since it's going to be over 90 degrees in june! My system froze up. Lou diagnosed the problem and got me up and running until the parts come in. The guys at A Degree Above never disappoint. They showed up in a few hours after my husband called for emergency service for our hydronic heating system. Then a few hours later the system was repaired and the house warm again. Thank you to Paul and the entire team at A Degree Above, including their apprentices. We highly recommend this company.
