I wish I would have had the opportunity to rate them better. But I never received a call back from my online appointment request.
I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to give a shout out! AK AIRE DESERVES A 5 star in every way ! Kelly came out and gave me an estimate and took her time explaining everything and offered a suggestion for me to get better cooling upstairs . The office staff is very efficient in replying to emails and pleasant on the phone . The installers were on time, pleasant and neat ! Allan was amazing and extremely knowledgeable ! I honestly have never dealt with an outside contractor that cares about the customer and appears to be very honest. I found Ak Aire from a recommendation and they were 💯 on the money!

Beside incredible mechanical skills, the sensitivity to my drama over our generator malfunction - leaving me in an over the top panic about potential flooding without a sump pump and 3 ref/freezers melting - is so very appreciated. I was overwhelmed and despite it being a holiday weekend, and a Friday no less, Alan came to my rescue late in the evening (after working all day at another job quite far from our house) and temporarily restored power and ordered the replacement part. Alan always takes everything calmly in his stride (unlike me), has confidence in his ability to fix what is broken - even when it not just a plumbing or electrical issue - but my anxiety too!!! We are so very very grateful to have the entire AK Aire team only a phone call away! Not all heroes wear a cape - some drive a truck filled with "emergency" supplies:-) and awesome skills!!! THANKS TO ALL AT AK AIRE...
We have been spoiled and have come to expect excellent professional services, personal kindness, etc. and once again, Alan and AK did not disappoint. We are now officially on the family plan where AK handles all of our electrical and plumbing needs as well as our son's in his new home.
AK Aire LLC honestly has to be one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. They were accommodating to our schedule and also provided a level of service that was by far superior. The plumber that came to my home was very nice and professional. He fixed the job in a very quick fashion and had no problem educating me on the part that needed to be replaced. Payment was smooth and receipt sent in a matter of minutes and the service was extremely affordable. I could not have had a better experience. We now also know they do HVAC and have electricians so I am sure we will meet again.
Update to the prior feedback: I am happy to delete the comments if you can pay another visit and see if you can make it right this time. I had to get some duct work done. The technician came home and reviewed the work. Never heard back again on the estimates. Called multiple times. Each time got the same standard response that 'It's being reviewed and will be sent tomorrow'. If you don't want to do the work, atleast, be honest in saying that. Did not engage them further.

One again AK Aire was at our house to provide HAVC just routine maintenance, four years after they installed a new heating, air conditioning and water heater at our Capte Cod. When we hired AK Aire, all the other HAVC contractors said you could not bring the heat and air to the second floor with the same HAVC system. They all wanted to install additional equipment to satisfy our need. AK Aire did it. Using the new heating and AC system they sized, they were able to run the ductwork for the second floor. Heating and cooling completely satisfied.
I am a third time return customer. As my experiences, AK Aire is not cheaper than others. But the price they asked was fair and worth. Most of all, AK Aire is reliable, responsable and professional. They don't play dirty trick.
I was interested in replacing my complete HVAC system- Kelly came by and gave us an estimate including whole house humidifier and new hot water system. We were very pleased with everyone's professionalism and curtious service. Fast, professional, answered all our questions, helped and explained in detail the new digital thermostat. I would recommend them again and again.
Explained current heating issues and provided good options to meet my budget. Installation was done promptly and no corners cut. Kelly did the estimate and proposals and Alan and Noah worked extra hours to ensure our comfort with a cold spell on the way. Very happy with the whole experience.
AK Aire installed a Generac generator over two years ago and have maintained it annually. I was extremely impressed with their installation of this complicated system in one day and the Generac has performed as expected during power outages. They recently fixed a problem under warranty. I recommend AK Aire and Generac.
Avoid - unresponsive and unprofessional. (be sure to see EDIT after AK's response to my initial review) A relatively simple outdoor gas line job to close our outdoor gas line ended up leaving an open-ended pipe on one end because capping wasn't done on both ends of the severed line. This exposure led to water and debris accumulation, requiring a full line replacement. We gave AK Aire multiple chances to talk to us about the job and help make repairs, and we weren't even asking for anything for free. All we got was "yes, we'll get back to you". We gave them MONTHS to get back and no response after numerous attempts. This is unprofessional and unresponsible behavior. The front-line person is friendly and courteous, but it hides the fact that the company doesn't want to own up when things don't go right. The new contractor was shocked at AK Aire's workmanship, and we ended up having a new line installed. Edit: Since AK responded to my review right away, I am compelled once again to make sure those who are reading get all the facts straight. See below: "Thank you for your review, and I am sorry you have had this experience. I took a moment to looked up our records and found that we did not install your gas line and it was preexisting to our arrival. Our call log states, in March of 2021, you called us out because you had and existing gas line that was not hooked up to a BBQ and left open to the elements. The energy company said to have a Plumber, which was us, come out and only cap the line to make it safe until you got a new BBQ." FACT CHECK: This is exactly the point of failure when the initial technician decided to sever the gas line and cap ONLY the live end, where gas would come out of the house. The other end, the line leading to the BBQ, was left open to the elements, allowing water and debris to accumulate between March and July. Generac Generator Install - AK Aire did a great job on the sizing, ordering and installation of the whole house generator. They are the only company I will use. They are professional, friendly and stand by their work. Also, their pricing is competitive.
My AC died during a 95 degree week streak. Sadly, I was gouged by Gold Medal when I had no other option, and they are just focused on taking you for as much as they can. On the complete opposite side of the spectrum, I worked with AK Aire’s Kelley (co-owner), and she could not have been more helpful, kind and compassionate as I figured out my issues. She troubleshooted with me on the phone until someone was able to come out for an estimate, and honestly cared about my family. On what seemed like her day off! I do not run into many companies who have such wonderful people working there. If you ever need someone for your AC needs, her company is one to have on your short list.
