Nick is the man. Great guy and great work. Respectable pricing. Their company will deliver results. (COLOSSUS) I would recommend James and Nick to anyone who needs their type of services. I reached out on line with the issue my son was having with his gas/boiler and James responded withi 10 minutes. We scheduled a time and Nick came out and did his thing. All systema are a go. My experience with Colossus HVAC was one of the most positive service experiences from start to finish I have ever encountered as a homeowner. Learning that my entire heating system needed to be replaced was a scary prospect but from the first phone call the office staff was comforting and my first meeting with James, made me feel at ease. James’ professionalism and attention to every detail especially the financing challenges I knew I would be facing was tremendous and so much better than other companies I had investigated. They treated me with respect and care and followed through by answering questions via phone and email throughout the whole process. When the team arrived to put in my new system continued the impeccable professionalism. Their patience and knowledge were so impressive, Nicholas explained everything during the visit. They worked so hard for hours in my tiny basement and were continuously pleasant and helpful. After over 8 hours of work, Nicholas explained the entire system to me with a smile and answered every question with the expertise he has accumulated during his work in the industry. When the team left every question I had was answered and every piece of my home where they had worked was clear and clean. I can't say enough about this team and would recommend them to everyone.

After damage from a storm, I needed to replace the AC unit. II decided to also have the furnace replaced as well. James and his father Nicolas performed these services at a great price, and arrived when scheduled. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional and throughout the process were polite and personable. Very trustworthy and I will now have them do all my service work as well. We had an excellent experience with Colossus!!
they came and added freon to system to get it working
Had a great experience with Colossus. Both at the time of the initial estimate and again at the installation they arrived when the said they would - that's a great way to run a business!! They were efficient and courteous during the install and I would refer any friend looking for HVAC service.
Our A/C went out on Friday and the company we have a service contract with came on Saturday and said that we needed a new system and that a salesman would call us on Monday or Tuesday - WHAT? It was the hottest week of the summer!!! THEN we found out that a new system couldn't be installed until LATE OCTOBER! We found Colossus in Brick, NJ online and called them. The father/son owners, Nick and James, arrived Sunday night at 9:00 pm - after they were done with their service calls for that day - we couldn't believe their awesome work ethic! A new A/C system was installed the very next day. We couldn't have asked for quicker, friendlier or more professional service. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY - THEY GAVE BETTER SERVICE THAN WE COULD HAVE EVER ASKED FOR.
I have used Colossus on several occasions to install HVAC etc. I have even recommended them. Nick is very courteous and James is very prompt. They are a great team and their prices are very competitive. I would recommend them to anyone.
BUYER BEWARE! I have 2 A/C units and I asked the supposedly expert and owner “Mick” to replace the 3 ton unit for downstairs and leave the 2.5 ton unit for upstairs, which worked perfectly fine, alone. What he did was replace the 2.5 ton unit with a new 3 ton unit and after he realized he made a mistake, instead of rectifying the mistake, he decided to use the 2.5 ton unit for downstairs. Then after 7 days that 2.5 ton unit no longer work. So I had another HVAC company come over and they gave me a quote on replacing that now bad unit with the same RUUD 3 ton unit that “Mick” had charged me $7200 plus tax and the new company’s quote was $5300!!! So just out of curiosity I call “Mick”, since he screwed up the first time, what he would charge and it was the same $7200 plus tax. So not only is he an unscrupulous person he’s also a liar and a thief. DO NOT USE THIS GUY unless you like getting ripped off and inferior work!!!
I had a mini split ductless AC installed. They came in removed an old AC from the wall. Closed in the wall and installed the mini split. They did a great job. They were professional and cleaned up after they were done. I would use them again in the future.
I interviewed 5 HVAC companies before choosing Colossus. James was on time, every time and highly knowledgeable in his field. He also had the BEST price and equipment. The guys were in and out in 1 day and left my house cleaner than it was when they got there! I have since recommended him to 2 friends and their experience has been the same.
Hired this company to install a new furnace and move our existing central A/C . They were to lift up our A-coil, remove our existing furnace and slide in the new furnace. The problem was, the new furnace was taller than the existing one. When Nicholas lifted the A-Coil he crimped the Freon line. When he set is back down on the new furnace, the line broke. Both systems were only 5 years old. They completed the job and were paid in full. We tried to use the central A/C and it ran but did not cool. Called Nicholas who immediately said, "it had nothing to do with him". He reluctantly came to take a look at the system. Said it had no Freon in it. Refused to look for the leak. Said it was too expensive as it was an R22 system. Said only solution was to replace the whole A/C with an R410A system at a cost of $5,900. We called another HVAC professional who found the leak in the A-Coil, braised the hole in the crimped pipe, made when the A-coil was moved, filled the system with Freon and it ran perfectly. The cost was $588.00. I would never recommend this company and will be filing a complaint against them..We recently went to Arbitration with Colossus and the arbitrator found in our favor.They had damaged our Central A/C while installing the new furnace even though they submitted the wrong contract and lied about who did the installation. She saw right through their lies. Beware!

Honest, knowledgeable, personable, responsive. In July 2018 I called in the evening when our a/c went out. He came first thing in the morning. He helped us solve the problem which didn’t involve a repair. He didn’t charge a service fee for coming. Thank you Nicholas!
We had problem with our central AC whereby water was overflowing the main cooling unit in huge quantity. I called on a 'reputed' HVAC company and their representative came and within 5 minutes came to the conclusion that my AC unit (9 years old) was faulty and the whole unit needs to be replaced. They quoted me $5K. I thought of taking a second opinion and there's when i found about Colossus HVAc. I called them and got an appointment the same day. Mr. Nicholas Komninakis came in on time, he was a thorough professional and is an expert in his line of work. He felt my AC unit and straight away told that it was a problem with the pump which drains out the water from the coil. He replaced the pump, cleaned all the connecting pipes and my unit is good as new. He didn't try to sell us anything, explained us the problem and fixed it professionally. I would highly recommend using the services of Colossus.
