I was planning to have my furnace checked and a good friend STRONGLY recommended Doug, at Gentle Air Inc.. Am I glad she was so insistent. Scheduled an appointment and Doug and his son arrived exactly on time on the date scheduled. They were going to clean and service my furnace. When I scheduled the appointment, I asked Doug if they would also check and service my power humidifier. He indicated that would be part of the maintenance. My humidifier was not working. After they worked on the furnace and humidifier, they discovered a 1. broken wire to the humidifier, 2. a bad switch, a faulty humidity controller and a plugged drain hose. All items addressed and for a charge of WAY LESS than expected, not much more than the service call quoted. He also recommended using a less restrictive filter (I incorrectly thought that a filter capturing more particulates was better, was I wrong). After all the fixes and a less restrictive filter, everything is working way better. Less noise from the fan during run cycles, humidity that allows me to lower my thermostat temperature and more overall comfort. If you choose someone else to work on your HVAC system, you are making a mistake. HIGHLY AND WILDLY RECOMMENDED.
I called this morning because my ac was not cooling and my regular place was booked up all week. He came right out within hours, figured out the problem in seconds, grabbed the part from his truck, and I was fixed up in minutes. Way to go. I definitely reccommend!
