WHY do we pay “professionals “ to GUESS? The price he verbally quoted me was $910 that was with leak find ( that he did not perform) and up to 3-4 lbs of coolant. That’s why I declined the repair. How is it that this company will come out to your property to do a diagnostic and in this description of this said diagnostic say “Could be a possible leak” ??? is it a leak or not. I could have guessed that for free. He was late looked at the unit for less than 10mins. Did not come in The system was less than 5years old installed. $89 was a high price GUESS. This was poor service by VITT. Would NOT recommend -10 out of 10 ***Updated** 2 hours after vitt came out I called another company and the came right out and recharged my system and they said no leaks was found. $150. And this was not a big name company. VITT and ACADEMY AIR ARE THE WORST!! You are paying for the commercials and the name. These kind of companies should only work on commercial real estates not homes. They are ridiculous -10 stars
Without A/C for a week and after 4 estimates we decided to go with Vitt. Quick turnaround and very professional.
If I could give zero stars than I would. I went with this company after reading the reviews online. The biggest mistake I could have made. Let's start with the hot water heater. They installed the hot water heater, that night no hot water. Technician came out the next day and informed me that the 2 elements were broken. They replaced those. I'd come home some days with luke warm water and other days hot. After a few technicians later saying different things they finally brought out a new one to install. That problem was resolved. The furnace started with the thermostat saying 66 but it was extremely hot in the house. Technician came out and said that it was a faulty thermostat. He replaced that. A Day or 2 later the thermostat was saying 66 and it was cold in the house. They installed another thermost. Then the furnace was running non stop. Sent a different technician out and he said that that thermostat needed an add on wire attached so, he went to get one of those, installed that and it resolved that problem. Then the AC unit, when I started using that it was short cycling. They came out and said that they had to install another return in the house so that air would cycle appropriately. That did not fix the issue. They came out to replace the unit outside with a smaller unit and spent 8 hours here, tried to install 2 different units and said that they weren't working. They would contact the manufacturer and see if it was a bad batch. They left and the initial unit was hooked back up. The manager said he would contact me when he heard something. I never heard from him. I had to have another company come out and they had everything fixed within 2 hours. It came down to bad wiring installation and a non compatible thermostat. The new company fixed in 2 hours what this company could not find a resolution for in 7 months. Horrible customer service. In 7 months they had been out at my house roughly 15 times due to issues with their installed system
ABSOLUTE HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!! Avoid this business at ALL COSTS - they will take your money, break your system and then try to get you to sign up for "financing" so they can charge you THOUSANDS in repairs.
The technician, David, was knowlegeable, prompt and professional. Vitt Heating and Cooling has a new life-long client.
I had Vitt replace my HVAC system about a year and half ago, and continue to use them for seasonal maintenance. Excellent work and very responsive. Zach was my recent technician, and he was very friendly and efficient!
I had a new system installed. We were told one price, then ended up paying a must higher price. They kept both Ameren and Spire rebates. I tried calling and speaking with the manger of this company. He would not return my phones calls. I did notice that they didn't install all new duck work with the new unit. I've been trying to call Jerry Safely he has not returned any of my phone calls. I notice on one of the 5 star reviews was from Jerry Safely. He wrote a long 5 star review about his own company, appearing to be a customer. I'm confused about this company.
Used for annual service. Had a few parts replaced. Everything went very smoothly and was competitive for the work I needed done. A few days later, one tenant calls saying she was getting no heat. Vitt came back out, inspected their work, noticed a switch was left off, and had the unit back up quickly with zero additional charges. While a mistake was made, they impressed me with their honest business practices. Highly recommend.
Been waiting for two weeks for a estimate no call no email or call them every day for service. I will not recommend

I call Vitts heating and cooling for a A/C check up, The tech that came out did not know what he was doing, I had to call another company to do the job right, vitts tech released frion and the company refused to reimburse me for my cost

Vitt Heating Co. is the one company that I found that their Techs works and are knowledgeable on Heat Pumps. Techs Nick and Eric were very professional, neat in appearance, well-mannered, worked in a timely mannered. What I really liked was how Nick & Eric explained to me what they did. I would recommend Vitt to my friends and family.
High praise for Vitt Heating and Cooling! Vitt actually came out and replaced a pipe leaking gas at an elbow and one other place after Spire shut us off when the temperatures were below freezing. I was criticizing Spire and the two gentlemen from Vitt politely defended Spire and were supportive of them. They were correct. I was just upset that Spire appropriately shut off our gas due to a leak and all of the contractors Spire knew of that could do pressure testing could not come out until 10 or 11 days later. We needed a pipe replaced AND pressure tested by the same company. I was cold and irritable 2 days without heat. We spent hours trying to find someone. I'm not sure how or why, but Vitt popped up for me in a different browser and they made it out the same day. They were amazing. They fixed the pipe and even found a second leak. We have a somewhat unusual set up and they found a way to work around it and save us money. They came 10 days sooner than everyone else could have and they were professional. Vitt, thank you for your professionalism, fine work and same day service. Thanks to you we had our gas turned back on the same day and had heat in below freezing weather. You even saved us money. We are so fortunate to have found you and will definitely recommend your company. Thanks again!
Had them come out guy was there for 20 mins and never gave me a price on how to fix the furnace and then wanted to bill me 200 for nothing!
They sent someone over to see why my heating system is not working properly. After 2 hours he still did not know to solve the problem. He was on the phone with his boss, trying to figure out what was going on. I kindly explained to an employee at Vitt what happened. I was requesting a partial refund. They said no & further explained that Vitt could have charged more for the time he spend there.
Prompt service and diagnosis. Technician was prompt and communications was good. My problem with them is they would not / would not give me a breakdown between parts and labor on a repair job. They allow the field technician to make up their own pricing. The repair was high based on the part needed and time on site but no one would discuss. I asked for a call back after payment was made and did not receive one. Beware of over priced repairs!!!
I could not be more pleased with Vitt's all-around service. They did an exceptional job from beginning to end. Our 18-year old system went out the day before Christmas Eve. We received multiple timely bids. Vitt's bid was competitive; the financing option was superb; the very quick turnaround was unbelievable; and the courteous professional service was second to none. They even made the full installation the day after we received bids. To be straight forward, the quote was not the lowest, and the installation schedule was a day sooner than others promised. The 6-year, 0% Wells Fargo financing was what made the decision to go with Vitt very easy. It allowed us to comfortably choose a higher quality system and upgrades including a humidifier and bacteria scrubber. I would not wish anyone the misfortune of having their heat go out on the coldest day of the year right before, maybe, the biggest holiday. God delivered a Saviour, and Vitt delivered heat to my family! It turned out to be a good Christmas. Many thanks to all at Vitt Heating & Cooling!
These people still haven't repaired the damage their tech.did to my furnace. this was intentional damage done by mike who left his robe and hood in his truck, and also over charged me 200.00 for a $40.00 filter, stating (we have to make money too}. Their office defended this BUM, so if you want honest service, there are many companies in this area that will give good and honest service. Before you waste your money on this SORRY Company, Check their web sight with the B.B.B. Vitt is so arrogant, they don't even respond to them.
Never using this company again and I suggest you look for different company too. First off I called early morning and a guy took all my information and informed me they would be there around 7 am. They did not show up until 7:30 pm. After numerous attempts to contact them throughout the morning some lady told me it was an answering service I had talked to and that they did not check any of the messages when they got in. Second they decided to charge me Sunday/Holiday rate and it was neither. It was on Friday and was not a Holiday. My wife called to ask about it and they were very rude to her while saying Fridays are Sundays and that we should be thankful they came at all. I guess they think they are the only HVAC company. Use them if you have to but beware they don't use a real calendar and arbitrarily decide what day of the week it is.
