We own a wedding venue and the AC went out during an event! JR Kjelshus came to rescue and fixed the problem and also recommended some weatherization efficiency upgrades which we immediately took advantage of!! Great service! Great company!!
Eric and his team did a great job testing my air quality and and then gave recommendations to help improve my home's ventilation.
Excellent knowledge of EVERYTHING HVAC related. Took out personal time to teach me one on one Manual J Calculations, heat loads and what's needed to pull permits for the city. Knows it all!!!!
A/C failed on a hot (101) Saturday evening. They were able to send a Tech who fixed it very quickly. The Tech was very nice, polite and efficient. We have always had great service from them.
EDIT I am happy to say our issues have been resolved. I now know that changes have been made and the results are far and above in their customer service and work. When JR learned about our complaints he immediately contacted me to determine how our issues could be resolved. He and D came out quickly, listened to us and determined the unit needed to be replaced. JR and D installed the new unit. They are both stand up contractors. Now, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company. Thank you JR and D or your professional work and your dedication to excellence. EDIT:.SAVE YOUR MONEY. What used to be a reputable business that I utilized after moving to Lees Summit and has taken a major turn downhill. I've been stood up three different times now with no shows and this third time I am done being the one to call back and reschedule.
Our Furnace stopped working a few hours before the Big Game. I called Eric Kjelshus Energy Heating and Cooling and they were onsite within an hour. They had the heat back on soon after getting here. After replacing a part and servicing the unit, our Furnace now works quieter and better than ever before. This was our second time using them. Top notch service and a reasonably priced. I would recommend to all!
Very detailed, informative and professional
I had my HVAC checked because it wasn’t cooling. The tech diagnosed it as a pump failure because it had equalized pressure on both sides of the pump. I had HAHA’s from Gladstone come to check it and they were able to show that the pump was working and that the coolant pressure was low. They diagnosed it as a leak and didn’t try to sell me a whole new unit. HAHA’s used the UV dye but then found that the pump wasn’t working. Eric Kjelshus was 100% correct the first time and replacement was required. Great service, high recommend this local business.

Eric Kjelshus personally helped me do a deep energy retrofit of a 1907 bungalow in Manheim Park. It went way beyond installing an HVAC system--he dropped by regularly and shared building science and practical approaches to creating an energy efficient, durable building envelope. He and his team are also very careful and thoughtful with the design and installation of the HVAC system. My installation schedule changed several times, and they were remarkably patient and flexible. They aren't cheap, but you get so much more from them, including an optimized system that will provide comfort and efficiency for many, many years. I give them my highest recommendation.
