We will certainly be calling KB again. They communicated well, ordered the warranted part on our behalf and the tech responded after hours. Solid experience.
Serviced my AC through Homesmart. Ado the tech was the bomb! Personable and professional. Truly knows how to deliver on customer service ... A rarity these days. My frustration in having to wait 13 days for repair melted away when he showed up. He needs to be cloned. I would have given 5 stars if it hadn't taken nearly 2 weeks for an appointment in sweltering heat.
I requested a quote on a ductless mini split installation. KB sent out a tech to look at our house. He said he would get back to us with a quote after talking with his manager but never did. I tried following up with a phone call each day for a week. KB never answered the phone or returned my messages or gave a quote. Very unprofessional.
KB installed a new furnace and ac for me in 2019. The ac wasn't level and they melted the 18/2 wire that goes to the ac. The 18/2 that went to the outdoor sensor was nicked from a pair of strippers and broke apart. And this year, I have no ac.
Had a technician arrive while I was in the bathroom. My ring camera shows they waited for exactly 74 seconds before leaving. I understand time is money, but give me a break. Very unprofessional

Can't say enough good stuff about this company. I called at 6 am on 12/22/22 because we were having problems with our thermostat to Homesmart and they said that someone would be calling to set something up and that she had expedited it, we were having bad weather and cold weather coming, at 8 am KB services called back and said that they would have someone there between 11am and 5pm, I told them if it get passed 5pm we could make it another day that we had heat and that we were just babying it, that the tech safety was more important. The Tech got here at 100pm and we told him what was going on and he went and fixed the issue, he was very personable, and told us what we could do to help the life of the furnace, he was very knowledgeable and very detail to what he was doing. We will be using these guys again not just because of the fact they come from Homesmart but we will be using them just because they are are very helpful, and personable and friendly.
I am so grateful to the staff at KB services. This week I had a complicated issue with my furnace. The staff or prompt and getting someone out to do the repair. Additional parts were needed and a communication about rough time frames was wonderful and accurate. More than one technician came out, and every interaction with KB services was positive. Furnace was repaired in the middle of a snowstorm. A person who is out today went above and beyond to make sure that we had heat. Thank you for his work, kindness and willingness go the extra mile will not be forgotten. Having homeSmart has been great mostly because of the staff at KB services.
We had Ado replace an igniter on our gas water heater through Home Smart. We have had K & B preform services several times through the years. Ado, is an outstanding-professional Tech but what takes Ado over the top is his personality and ability to communicate. Ado is a great representative for K & B and they should be honored to have him as a Tech for the company! Randy/Merry Gendreau

NOT RECOMMEND! I would put zero stars if I could. This place was contracted through Xcel Energy MN HomeSmart program and never even bothered to do their job properly. My AC damper went out and they installed the wrong damper. Called them three different times to come look at my AC and they still cannot do their job or diagnose this issue. I had to call another company to properly diagnose issue. Technicians seem to be straight out of high school would not recommend. Poor customer service and unexperienced technicians would not recommend
Homesmart sent out KB services to look at my furnace that was making noise. Tech came on and said that the fan motor was bad. He said he will come back next week and replace it. It’s been 3 week and no update and no new motor. If this happened in the middle of winter, could you depend on these guys? Obviously a big red flag. Update: The technician came over again after 2 months because they lost the paperwork. He looked at the motor and said they will replace it. Update: On 06/27/2022, the motor was replaced.
BEWARE KB HOMESMART BY XCEL was here to my address on May 10th for my annual Air Conditioner maintenance, just so I don’t have a problem like this. Everything was okay per the KB Service Co. repair person. My air has been out since June 21st and was told they won’t be calling for 3 to 5 days to set up an appointment, in this heat. I left Friday 6-24 to get in a place that has Air Conditioning before I scream. I had a message from KB when I returned, to which I called back at 3:20PM and I haven’t heard from them. It was 91 yesterday Friday 6-24 my house was 89 I woke up to 85 today 6-25, I am soaking wet from sweating 79 year olds can’t take this heat! I pay monthly for heat and air conditioning, fall and spring maintenance, plus monthly for repairs when needed. They close up shop at 3:30PM for the week-end.
KB was really nice too work with. Very friendly and professional staff. It sucks to have a furnace repair but the quality of working with KB totally took the sting out.

HomeSmart uses KB Service Co for repairs. The technician came out immediately and recommended Water Heater replacment. Nothing against the technician, but the company did not close out my order because I did not use them to replace my water heater. They did not update or close my ticket with HomeSmart because I chose to go elsewhere. Calling them multiple in two months and no return phone call. HomeSmart rep called them 3 times without a response from them yet to close the repair order. I understand this is a busy time of year, but they cant just ignore your request to submit the work order to HomeSmart for reimbursement. I'm glad I didn't pay them 2500$ for the repair and went elsewhere. Find someone more professional and responsive. Good luck!

We have had to have them out multiple times to try and fix our air conditioner through HomeSmart and nothing is fixed. Always the same guy and no solutions. We are never going to recommend this company. Awful service
For many years, KB Service has provided great service for my home's HVAC needs, everyone is always so thoughtful and kind, and this year was much the same though with something extra that felt like Grace and absolute kindness in it's rarest form. That was John! There was such a pure, authentic, compassionate, caring humanness in his demeanor and interaction that is missing in our general daily encounters among us all. I am very grateful for not just the expert AC service but also that he reminded me of our capacity to be considerate of and for one another. I will take that forward with my every encounter with others. Thank John for your exemplary service, your precious humanness, and the grace with which you brought to my day. Also a big shoutout to that benevolent lady with the voice who is always music to my ears; your kindheartedness is always reassuring that whatever problem I have, can be repaired! Home smart contracted these guys to come out and do a big install at my house. They went above and beyond expectation. I will be using these guys from now on for any other HVAC related opportunities I may come across.
