Do not go with them. They do not fix. They only sell. The five stars are fake. Listen to the real customers who had bad experience with them.
Comfort Plus is not the cheapest, but definitely fairly priced for the quality product and service they provide. Last winter, I had an old (really old Montgomery Ward furnace built like a tank and about as efficient) and the heat exchanger finally gave out and as a result I was getting high carbon monoxide readings. Chris came out gave me a couple pricing options to help with the unbudgeted expense to replace it with more efficient unit. They got the furnace installed the next day, where others would be 3-7 days out for installation. Understanding I couldn't afford to install both a furnace and new a/c, they also did the prep work so that I could replace my 20+ year old a/c in the spring without having to uninstall and reinstall the furnace. No more carbon monoxide, lower gas bill and house doesn't shake when furnace kicks on. Just had new Carrier 16 SEER a/c installed prior to first 80+ degree days and very happy on how well it cools as well as how quiet the condenser is compared to my old unit. Have to go outside by the unit to hear it run. Again, Chris provided me with options of units and upon getting other bids, pricing was inline with the quality of comparable products and even better than some other lower quality brands. Got quote on Good Friday and was installed the Monday after Easter. Other quotes lead times were 14-21 days and I would be very uncomfortable with this early hot April weather. They also handle making sure all products are properly registered with manufacturer for warranty purposes and submit for any available rebates with DTE and Consumers. Lastly, the crew that did both installations we're professional, knowledgeable, very friendly and left job site cleaner than it was before installation. Needless to say, I trust Comfort Plus for any HVAC needs now and in the future. I recommend you still get multiple quotes for piece of mind, but be aware you get what you pay for in this world and Comfort Plus will do the job right the first time
Made request for non-emergency service call, technicians arrived ahead of schedule and performed service in a very efficient and timely manner, highly recommend this company ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nick and his team did an excellent job installing our new boiler system. Very knowledgeable, professional, efficient and helpful. Would highly recommend!!
Great service!
Technicians Dean & Kyle installed a new furnace & replaced duct work in my home. Both gentlemen were very professional, knowledgeable & answered "all" my questions. I highly recommend Comfort plus for your Hvac needs. P.S. They made sure that the area was cleaned inside & out!
They are the best. Very professional
I have a few rental properties and Comfort Plus has been my only HVAC company for over 10 years. Chris and his team are honest, trustworthy, professional, clean and do quality work. I would highly recommend them!
Had an issue where the AC kept tripping the circuit breaker. The Comfort Plus team was able to come out right away, and they diagnosed & fixed the issue. The techs were very friendly and professional. Would recommend.
Nick came out and fix the AC, he went above and beyond to figure out what the issue was and got it fixed the same day. Highly recommend
Nick was on time, professional and thorough. And the best part, the price was reasonable. Thanks so much for your time and effort.
I am delighted to report the discovery of a true gem in Comfort Plus in the local businesses of Troy, MI through my recent experience of hiring them to repair a Carrier AC unit leak in my house. We have an Carrier AC that is only approaching the lower end of its manufacturer's projected life expectancy but somehow was leaking water from the insider the house. I found Comfort Plus among the list of local Carrier-authorized shops at the website of Carrier. Chris promptly gave me a quote for possibly replacing the unit, but quickly scheduled for a service visit when I called back later expressing interest in having the unit repaired first. The team of service technicians sent from Comfort Plus—Nick and Josh—were just wonderful. Courteous and considerate (bringing shoe covers when entering the house to get to the basement and taking the trouble to remove and put them back on whenever necessary as they started working on the repair), they were knowledgeable, professional, and very thorough in checking all the possibilities even though they quickly found out the cause of the leak was due to a clogged drainage pipe which they immediately replaced. Above all, they were extremely honest as they did not try to push for any other repairs that were not needed once they explored all options and concluded that the AC unit was working well again after the repair. Comfort Plus and its excellent team are especially commendable in light of my recent experience with another local business. Before I went online to Carrier’s website, an anonymous “friend” from Nextdoor had recommended a family business in Rochester Hills whom I had contacted first for my repair needs. Without checking much in the basement, the guy they sent immediately diagnosed the problem as being “lower in refrigerant” and recommended “replacement” of the AC unit. After leaving me with a quote and a charge of nearly $100, the guy just left without checking or doing anything else. I think we are lucky to have Comfort
Had an old fuel oil furnace finally give out on me. Chris came in and gave me several options and once I decided he sent the guys out to start work. They replaced the fuel oil with a gas furnace and ran the gas line throughout the house. After the gas was connected they came back that day and got the furnace started and adjusted. They did a very professional job and I couldn't be happier.
We have had Comfort Plus complete several projects at our home, including a natural gas generator. We knew who to call when we needed our A/C replaced. Another job well done!
I can not say enough great things about Chris and his team at Comfort Plus. They check every box when looking for the right contractor. Chris and his team were polite, responsive, prompt, and definitely do quality work. They are true professionals through and through, and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Our furnace went out right before Christmas, and Chris, true to his word, was able to get his team out to me right away. With a family of six, I was concerned I may have to move out as heat is vital in the winter (obviously). They were able to quickly diagnose the issue and set me up for a replacement. His team was very thorough throughout the entire process as they kept me updated during the installation. The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and super neat and tidy both in their workmanship as well as cleaning up after the work was complete. All in all, it was an awesome contractor experience and if you need any HVAC work done, there is no need to look any further... give Chris and his team a call!
Comfort Plus continues to exceed my expectations with their professionalism and honesty. They have taken care of my home and business HVAC work for over 13 years. Chris and his team go above and beyond every time I call for service. We are currently dealing with some issues with the landlord at our business and Chris has been my saving grace. You will not find a better and more honest Contractor.
Called to have someone come out to check on my furnace. Not once did they tell me about a 99 dollar fee to even come out. Until after. What a sad excused for a business where ripping people off is your top priority. And they are trying to charge me 700 dollars for a 135 dollar part and about 4 nuts to take off. I do NOT recommend Comfort heating and cooling fir absolutely anything.
I called to have technician come out to check on furnace. To be told it was a 700 dollar fix which it's a 120 dollar part. And they charge 100 dollars to even come out. WHICH I WAS NOT EVEN TOLD ABOUT! I DO.NOT RECOMMEND THEM! Don't trust them
The team that came to install a gas line were great! They were professional and courteous.
The tech basically smacked my furnace with a wrench until it turned on again. Claimed it was a stuck gas valve and recommended replacement($600) or a new furnace($3500). I troubleshooted it myself with a multimeter and some simple research and it was the pressure switch not even the gas valve. Replaced the part for $30 and the furnace has been fine ever since. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. Horrible experience do not waste your time with these guys.
