Modern Energy was the true epitome of excellent customer service, fair prices and top notch consultants. Our consultant, Ryan was a revelation! We had received competing quotes from other vendors, but none of them matched what Ryan/Modern Energy offered. When you are working towards a very expensive installation, price is only one part of the equation. This is where Ryan truly shined. He took multiple visits to ensure that he designed the best solution for our needs and even recommended products that were cheaper than he previously thought. Which vendor does this? Even the downstream steps e.g. loan application paperwork, etc. was very smooth. Our whole experience from start to finish was nothing but stellar, and I whole heartedly recommend Modern Energy to anyone.
Modern Energy is awesome! I had several quotes from other companies and none of them tolk me that the smaller bedrooms would be too cold or too hot unless they size it with the proper equipment. They also gave me options that they never offered such as a floor wall unit and a multi room unit that installs in the attic. The installation went perfectly and beyond my expectations. All the guys were very helpful, professional, kind, and worked very well together. Overall I give the 5 stars.
Modern Energy recently upgraded my homes insulation and heating system. The quality of the work was top notch and far exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was amazing. They made the entire process simple and helped us every step along the way. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to improve the comfort level and energy efficiency in their home.

Modern Energy installed both my attic insulation and heat pump/ mini split system. There was clear communication throughout the process and everyone from sales to installation worked in a very professional manner.
Of the three estimates we procured for our mini-split system and installation, Modern Energy was the most comprehensive and lowest cost. The original site estimator was very helpful providing details of the proposed system and the company service people helped lead us through the Mass Save Heat Loan program. The installers, David and Isaiah, were excellent to work with and completed the project about one week earlier than expected. The installation was very nicely done, very professional, and the system (Mitsubishi) works great! I would highly recommend Modern Energy for any mini-split installations.
The entire team was professional prompt and courteous. They took great care to be clean and tidy and they did an excellent job with the installation. I was very happy with the service and the final product and I would recommend to anyone. A very capable and hard working group and the owner was sure to stop by and make sure everything was in order as well. I would hire them again for sure.
Purchased a mini split system through Mass Save with Modern Energy chosen as my contractor. After installation and a week into using the system very pleased with both the company, the install and the units. I would recommend both to families that have electric heat. Installers were professional, efficient and took steps to do the job right. Mitsubishi now has units that work to -15 degrees in the winter and provide whole house cooling in the summer. The prediction is that the units will save quiet a bit on the energy bills.
For anyone considering ductless mini splits, I highly recommend Modern Energy. From the initial site eval and quote, through the heat loan process, the installation, and final inspection they were there to guide me through the process. In addition to their price and warranty being the best I found, everyone I dealt with - sales, business office, the installers themselves - was pleasant, knowledgeable, and conscientious. Very pleased!
I used Modern Energy to have blown-in insulation installed in my 3 family rental property and couldn't be happier. They were very thorough installing insulation in all exterior walls and all areas of the basement. They came out during a cold snow day and were able to perform the job flawlessly and impressively didn't crack a single piece of vinyl in the cold temperatures during the removal or reinstalling process. They were very considerate of the tenants and cleaned up afterwards. Would use them again and very please with the results! Thanks for the great work.
The service and attitude of Modern Energy are faultless. They gave clear and complete information and met all their schedules. When there was a delay due to equipment, the technicians worked their socks off to complete the work according to our schedule. Everyone at Modern Energy is professional, extremely competent and a joy to work with. Both the sales staff and installation crew proved to be very professional and responsive. Ed was a pleasure to work with and did his best to make sure the system was tailored to our needs.
From initial contact to job completion, Modern Energy personnel were all professional, courteous, and thorough. The salesperson was always responsive; the business manager was very knowledgeable and helpful at every step, especially with Mass Save application; the installers were hard-working, respectful, and cleaned up every day. This company took care of everything, including necessary insulation work and electrical requirements, all on schedule. Impressive, quality company.
Top notch! I recently had a Mitsubishi mini split heat pump system installed and could not be happier with the service. The job took three days to install the compressor and four head units for my home. At one point, Modern Energy had what seemed to be three crews working on this install. My wife and I were VERY impressed with their professionalism, skill of install, and overall knowledge of the system. I missed a couple of names (sorry guys), but I'd like to thank Anthony, Brayden, Chris, Jeremy, Jeff and Lori for making this such a pain free process from start to finish. The system works great, they gave me a 12 year warranty, and the assurance that they'll be there for us should we have any problems, questions, or concerns. Of the many home improvement projects over the years, this team of professionals have been some of the finest I have experienced. Thank you Modern Energy!
ModernEnergy (Chris & crew) was the contractor that MassSave sent to my house after an energy audit by ClearResults (Greg). They did an excellent job. Professional, clean, and efficient. In and out in no time. Explained exactly what they were doing, the exact same list as specified by ClearResults and after all was said and done, the exact same price. They did about $2,000 worth of work, including vents & insulation in the entire attic. My cost was less than $450. Outstanding! This is a wonderful program and I hope others update their homes for an unbelievable price by two great contractors.
Modern Energy recently did a Mitsubishi heat pump/cooling system install in our house. I am very impressed with the professionalism this company has. First met Ryan who looked over house for project and provided quote quickly, showed up on time and asked about our needs. The installation crew Dave Wiita and Brandon who explained what they were going to do and how and answered all my questions as project moved forward. I was also impressed seeing these techs using torque wrenches to tighten fittings to spec up on a 24 foot ladder. Being a retired vocational teacher I can appreciate this attention to detail. The electricians Bob and Jeremy gave us options on how to run the required wiring, the conduit was laid out straight, boxes level and plumb all wiring properly secured and neat. How to use the system was explained by Dave and I was told if I had any further questions just call. I highly recommend Modern Energy if you are thinking about installing mini split system in your home.
From start to finish this has to be one of the best installation experiences! Ryan Scalley, the salesman, Lori Garbarino, from the office/scheduling, Jeff V, and the main installers, Timothy Kunz and Chris Gaucher were outstanding! I don't think I could be more pleased.
