I had an amazing experience with this team. They diagnosed my zone control panel on my heating / cooling unit and also recommended I get my water heater cleaned annually (I asked them to handle it)!
Robinson and Jhonatan did an outstanding job installing the heat pump/ mini splits in our house. They worked around our schedule and showed up when they said they would. Very happy with the workmanship and price. Sam was also great and walked us through the operation of the system before they finished up. Additionally the pricing was the best in the area.
They did a great job on our furnace and tankless water heater. Will definitely call them in the future if needed. I’ll also add we received several quotes and they didn’t pressure us as some companies tried to do which I greatly appreciated.

Max Heating and Cooling replaced our old heating systems with all new mini-splits. Through the whole process the were responsive and helpful in planning. The project was executed very fast and timely. Recommend their services.

The best HVAC crew on the North Shore. Stacy was a tremendous help with scheduling. Dan was as professional as it gets. I had a very complicated refrigerant leak going on that caused us to lose heat. Within 2 days of assessing the situation Dan got his crew out and replaced everything for a very honest price. Don’t waste your time with other contractors. This crew is the real deal. Thanks again guys.

We had a negative initial experience with these folks, but the owner personally called me to apologize and offered to refund our service fee and then some. They are clearly an upstanding business and contribute greatly to the community. Call Dan and his team at Max Heating and Cooling; they will take care of you.
I can not began began to thank this company. Daniel and his staff showed up after hours and installed a whole new system in one day.. The pefessionalizem was out standing. Women this is that man for the job.
After I made contact by phone, email and online portals with at least SIX (6) "professional" radiant heat specialist companies (some highly recommended), I was SO thrilled (& surprised) to receive a direct phone call from Dan, the Owner of MAX Heating & Cooling in Saugus who responded within 20 minutes or less!! Not only was Dan proactive, but he very generously granted me his time & really listened to my lengthy explanation about my very unique heating system, my concern(s), PLUS my miserably disheartening experiences with ALL the other companies (huge waste of precious time)! The other companies do not care about my needs as a potential new, or even current, customer. EVERY one of the other places claim to be too busy for me & HAD to FIRST take care of their MassSAVE rebate deadlines & clients with no-heat. One "pro" (after stating he's booked till Jan. 2023) even refused my request (twice) to book a Jan. appt. for me & said he couldn't even THINK about it because he's too "swamped" & repeatedly told ME to call HIM back IN JANUARY! (This guy did contact me 1-2 days after I reached out to him to say he's busy but will call me late the next day OR the day after that; THEN he never called as I waited an additional TWO extra days (so FOUR days before I spoke with him). Another said they're booked out to Feb. 2023. Here's the bottom line for me: IT IS SO REFRESHING & WONDERFUL TO FIND A LOCAL COMPANY LIKE THIS -- MAX HEATING & COOLING. Since it was near end of the day & I had no emergency, Dan KEPT his word & called me 1st thing next morning, then offered to send out a very experienced, senior specialist within "a half hour!" By 8:20am, my heating system evaluation was complete & all my concerns were put to rest. My questions were answered by a true professional (after calling UNprofessionals for 2 whole wks)! Sam showed up on time & is just as kind & caring as Dan. He did NOT try to sell me any unneeded services or coax me into changing my heating system bu
Dan and the team at Max are the single best company I've worked with across the entire landscape of contractors, home improvement, and maintenance. We had them install heat pumps with mini splits downstairs and ducted heating and cooling upstairs and remove our gas furnace and radiators. They did an awesome job at a competitive price, were always on time and commutative, and left things clean. The heat pumps themselves are incredible. They've added a negligible amount to our energy bill because of their efficiency - our gas bill used to be 200+/mo in the cold winter months. We had one issue months after the install, and Dan sent Brandon (the team member who installed the ducted system - really great guy!) over the next day to fix it. It ended up likely being due to something other than the HVAC, but Brandon did his best to fix it anyway. As long as I'm in the area I'll work with these guys and recommend them to my friends looking for more energy efficient heating and cooling.

Careful consideration of homeowner throughout work. Dan, Sam, Stacy, and Paulo were a pleasure to work with - we had a few laughs!
Max Heating and Cooling has made a significant improvement at my house! The Team installed mini-splits that I have been coveting for quite some time. They offered knowledgeable advice and solutions, arrived on time, cleaned up carefully and were consistently willing to answer all my questions. Dan was always available to reach when trying to problem solve or clarify a situation. Brandon and Sam were extremely professional and thorough during installation. I highly recommend Max Heating and Cooling as I now have a cool environment...finally!
Could not have been more responsive or accommodating. Called them at 830 am with broken AC and they arrived about an hour later to fix the issue. They were professional, knowledgable, and quick!

Max Heating and Cooling recently installed a new AC and Heating system for my entire house (an old cape style house). Dan Palmieri was a pleasure to work with! He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, recommending a system that was ideal for my house and priced very well. Dan's crew removed the entire existing oil tank and furnace along with all steam radiators and pipes. They then installed a complete Mitsubishi heat pump system with ducted for the entire first floor and two mini split floor mounted units for the second floor. All of the work was performed and cleaned up meticulously. A special shout out for Brandon and Sam! They kept me completely informed throughout and ensured that I was in agreement with everything being done. They both went above and beyond in ensuring that everything was done to my complete satisfaction. In closing, everybody involved demonstrated a combination of professionalism and friendliness that is rare and unmatched in my experience. I will go nowhere else in the future for my heating and cooling services! I recommend them highly.
