Dan and his team are incredibly responsive, professional, and fair. It's hard to find quality people who will meet deadlines and do a great job. Lavoie Heating explained everything to us prior to the install and then installed our new system earlier than the scheduled date. He followed up to make sure everything was working ok and we couldn't be happier. We weren't even home for the actual installation but his consistent communication and updates to us during the installation were incredible. I would recommend Lavoie Heating to anyone. We just became customers and we expect to be with Lavoie for as long as we own our home.
Dan was awesome to work with. He came out quickly when my furnace went out during negative temperatures, fixed the problem and solved another as well. Friendly and professional. Definitely using Lavoie for future needs!

Beware of ordering oil from this company. They will charge your credit/debit card for the full delivery when you place your order, then charge you again when it's delivered. It's been 5 days now and the funds still haven't been credited back to my bank account and I have other bills to pay! Never again. It's too bad because their service was good, their price was less than their competitors, and they delivered the oil fast.
Dan and his team were fantastic installing our mini splits. They did clean professional work both inside and out. Dan is super responsive to calls and in person questions. I am extremely happy that we chose to work with them to install our new system. We will be recommending them to all of our friends. Everything was up and running just in time for the heat wave! Dan and his team installed a 6 zone heat pump system as well as a boiler replacement and water heater install. Dan is an absolute professional. Easy to work with throughout the entire process. Dan and Cody perform impeccable work. They are meticulous about even the smallest detail. They were extremely considerate and polite at all times on the job. We started working with Andy of Lavoie Heating Service about 25 years ago. Since that time they replaced our heating system and did all of the maintenance and cleaning of our system. Dan frequently was part of the working crew. Most recently we found that the boiler needed replacing, while waiting for the better weather to do that - the oil tank developed a leak. Andy came and located 2 leaks and patched them until it could be replaced. Two weeks ago, Dan and his crew arrived and removed the old oil tank and put in a new one. This was no easy task as I think the house was built around the tank. They even had to remove stairs to get new tank in after cutting old tank in half to remove. They had the stairs replaced within hours and the cleanup was exceptional. This week he was back and replaced the boiler. Not only do they provide good work, they are clean, polite, professional, show great respect for client property and they are reasonably priced. Dan is carrying on the good name of the family business and I could not recommend Lavoie Heating any stronger.. Great Company
I first contacted Lavoie Heating Service about 4 years ago after seeing a positive review on Sutton’s Facebook group. Since then, they have replaced our furnace & central A/C unit, provided our annual furnace cleaning, fixed a failed part, and most recently, moved an air duct so that we could remove a wall in our home. I highly recommend Lavoie Heating Service due to their good prices, quality work, and attentive customer service.
Dan Lavoie (Lavoie Heating Service) installed a complete combination propane and heat pump forced hydro air and hot water heating system in our house, replacing our broken forced hot air oil burner. He converted our house to super-efficient propane, replaced all the duct work (which was clearly causing issues), combined our hot water into the heating system, and added an outdoor heat pump so we don't always have to use fossil fuels. As a huge bonus he was also able to locate heating equipment out of the way, as before it consumed large usable spaces in the basement. All the project phases were professionally handled: he hired a separate contractor to safely remove the old oil tank from inside the basement; the old burner and ductwork were hauled away by a metal-scrapper for recycling; he did the planning of the placement of all the moving parts with us and seriously listened to our concerns; and the quality of the installation is top notch. There is a lot of complex piping associated with the compact propane burner, the heat pump, the hot water heater, and the air handler with whole-house humidification. It has been 6 months since completion and we couldn't be more pleased with the installation. It's clear that Dan's professional guidance from the beginning of what made sense really paid off. The house is more comfortable, we have more space in the basement for projects, fossil fuel consumption has gone way down, and we very often use the heat pump for heating the house in the shoulder seasons when the outside temperature is ~40F. During installation there were minor delays, however this was caused by extenuating circumstances - it was clear Dan knew it, and he was always up front with us about the project progress. Dan also went through the costly process (on his dime) to become certified for doing MassSave/HEAT Loan projects (a huge bonus for us, since we used a HEAT Loan for our project).
I bought a house recently that did not have air conditioning. I didn't want to have to keep hauling window air conditioners in and out of the windows every year, so I decided I was going to bite the bullet and have air conditioning installed. My parents used Lavoie Heating Services, Inc. 10 years ago to install theirs and they had a great experience, so they suggested I give the company a call. So...I did, and this was my experience: I spoke with Dan Lavoie and we had a great conversation relative to what I had in mind (mini-split vs. full install). He made an appointment to come out and measure. He then put together two proposals and explained the benefits of each and asked if I had questions. There was no 'high pressure' to do business with him, or to choose one plan over another. He just simply provided the facts and answered my questions. Fast forward - I decided to go with full central air (no mini-splits). We signed the contract and he started shortly thereafter. What I loved about this experience was that Dan was open and honest about everything every step of the way. He told me what he was going to do, how he was going to do it, and was always available for questions. There were times he needed to change the plan based on my basement ceiling structure so he always showed me the 'what and why' behind the necessary changes. He called when he said he would call, he showed up when he said he would be there, and he worked hard the entire time he was here (even wearing a mask the whole time). He had a strong attention to detail and aesthetics, and always left his work area cleaner than he found it. His team members were kind, friendly and respectful as well. Would I recommend Lavoie Heating Services, Inc. to anyone looking for an A/C install? 100% yes! They did such a great job I might use them for a new furnace boiler and hot water heater replacement/installation.

He shows up when he says he will, returns call promptly and leaves the area where he worked spotless. I would highly recommend Lavoie's services to anyone.
We found Dan through a local supplier who highly recommended his company. We found Dan very reasonable and willing to work with us on our schedule. Very professional and courteous. Did not oversell us but gave us options and suggestions with approx cost per option. We choose the middle option and went to work. Full gut of the old Oil burner, pipes, external hot water tank. He built a nice clean wall to mount all the circuitry and pipes on. Very impressed with outcome and improved efficiency of the system.
My experience with Lavoie Heating could not have been better. In spite of a miss step by the gas company crew with the piping from the source at the street and some creative (backwards)electrical wiring of a 1922’s era home, Dan’ s skill and experience and tenacity made this conversion a success. Always friendly and professional, regardless of the frustrations he was facing with this job, Our interactions gave me reassurance that I had made the right choice. Fair pricing, quality work and pride in the work that he does-qualities that seem rare in these times! Lavoie Heating-competent, friendly and fair. I’ve already shared my experience with several friends and co workers - without hesitation and will continue to do so!
