I have been a Townsend customer for 25+ years. Their service and professionalism is best in class. In addition to being timely and on point with service calls for my oil heat over the years, I recently had an issue with my ductless A/C. The issue was the fault of the manufacturer, not Townsend, but it was Townsend technicians who had to fix the problem. The Service Department, all the way up to the Service Manager, treated me like a valued and loyal customer throughout the process. If you want a local company that cares about their customer relationships and consistently does the right thing, I recommend Townsend Energy.

I was a loyal customer of Rye energy for many years. I found there service to be top notch. Observe my previous review from four years ago. Five star. When Townsend energy bought Rye energy I was unsure if that excellence in service would continue. I received my answer yesterday when I had an hvac issue. The phone call was answered promptly by Michelle Dean. She assured me the problem would be solved by days end. Releived after the phone call that we would not be chilly last night. I went about my day within a few hours, Problem Solved! Thank you so much, Michelle Dean!! 5 star plus.
Always quick to answer questions. Although never have to since they are always on thier game.
This is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. Their lack of communication is astounding. Their scheduling department lied to me when they sent their technician to the wrong location. I knew this because the technician called me and told me. Then the office called shortly after and blatantly lied about it not knowing I spoke with the technician. Then they charged me almost $7 a gallon for propane because I forgot to fill out a form locking it in at $3.55. Not filling out the form is my fault, but average market rate for propane at the time of delivery was $3.56. They claim their market rate at that time was $6.98. I would recommend using any other propane supplier you can find.
Townsend's service has always been prompt and efficient. The staff that we've dealt with over many years have been very friendly and very helpful. We've also found their customer service people to be friendly and pleasant. When you call them, you get a real person, once you chose your option for departments. No bots or people that don't know this area. We are very glad that we found them.
Cindy was so helpful getting me get copies of statements, in the middle of a Nor'easter!
2023-03-08 New Roth Oil Tank installation was very successful. Reggie and Joaquin of Removal Pro not only were courteous and helpful, but also did an excellent job. They did an impressive amount of work and aside from a fairly large amount of dust, everything looks great.
Great company and always do there best to accommodate. Tina is very nice and follows through with what she says she’s going to do! I would highly recommend Townsend!
This was one of the smoothest and most professional experiences I have had. We had to replace our basement oil tank. Despite major physical challenges, the work was done quickly, on-time and on budget. The crew was great too -- respectful and very personable. I feel lucky to have been able to work with such a great team on this.
There was a slight mishap and mix up with time and dates. But they made up for it with quick action and decent price. Also the tech was really awesome and let me know what was going on thoroughly. Mix ups happen. All and all great work
