I was recently told by one of Central KY's largest HVAC contractors, that I was in need of major repairs, but due to the units age, it was in my best interest to replace the entire unit.... These costs would range between 2,000-4,000 for repairs, up to 10,500 for a new unit. Clearly concerned by what I had just heard, I desperately began searching for another HVAC company for a second opinion, preferably small and local, because if I'm going to be pulling the trigger on such a big project, I want to give it to a small business.... I soon found TBI, with excellent reviews, and gave them a call... A few days later, had my service call, and was pleasantly surprised to hear that all my unit needed was a very minor adjustment... that cost me a grand total of 59.00. Talk about honesty! As I am slightly concerned about the unit's age myself, I am currently saving for such an expense, but did not want to be cornered into the project just yet. I WILL be calling TBI back when that time comes to replace the unit.
I've been using Thornberry Bros for ten years and they've always been knowledgeable and helpful. I've lived in homes with older HVAC systems and Thornberry Bros helped me find cost-effective ways to repair and maintain them instead of replacing them. I recently decided to upgrade to a more efficient system and it was installed quickly and professionally, and everyone was super nice! 11/10!
I came into the office early today and three men were in the lobby. I asked " do you insolate duct work?" After an awkward pause, a man answered, " yeah, but we don't want to." I got the message and left. You should not advertise HVAC if you're not going to do it. Those men were lazy today. And that lost my future business and any good advertising I could have done
Wonderful job. Replaced whole heat and air unit. Very professional.
Called tried to get them to come out. First question they asked, is it under warranty? No! I did give them the model number of the unit. They said they would give me a quote. 2 days later they never called me back. I called them back. Nope still didn't have a quote for me. Forget it. I went with somebody else. Thornberry you missed out on future business with me.
Fast friendly service
The workers were very professional and considerate! Workmanship was efficient and of very high quality. The job site was cleaned and no debris was left behind. I would certainly hire them again and I highly recommend Thornberry Bro’s without any hesitation!!
Have had a good experience with Thornberrys in the past, but something has definitely changed with this business. I called 3 weeks ago to have the freon in my AC refilled. They canceled my first appointment on Friday and said they'd come on Monday. No one showed on Monday. I called on Tuesday, but it was raining, so they couldn't come then either. I waited until 1 pm on Wednesday and called to follow-up. The guy said they hadn't forgotten me and they would be out on Thursday. Well....at 6pm Thursday I called Comfort Heating & Air. They sent someone that very evening. The job took 15 min. And Comfort earned a new customer. I just bought a new AC unit from them. And to this day 3 weeks later, I've still not seen or heard from Thornberrys. Not only did they forget about me, they lost a customer and an $8k sale for a new AC. Call Comfort in Lexington. Their service is far superior and you won't be forgotten!
I've had three old heat pumps replaced by Thornberry Bros over the past 7 years or so, and one emergency/after hours service call. All have been good experiences -- especially the service call ... 5pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend with guests coming over for the night & the AC goes out. The technician showed up about 30 minutes after the call & had the warranty item fixed in another 30 minutes. I was originally referred to Thornberry Bros by a contractor friend & continue to be happy with their service.
I called them and they responded very quickly and I was able to get service for the same day. When they arrived they were able to find the problem and fix it very quickly. Logan was very polite, professional and skilled at his job. I will call them again for any service needs for my air conditioning and heating.
Thornberry Bros. installed my parents Bryant evolution system and they did an excellent job. Jesse and Logan were very knowledgeable and professional . Our family would definitely recommend them to anybody looking for expert service.And my father believes they are best in business. 10/10
I have used Thornberry Bros. since I bought my home in 2008. I have always found their service has been exemplary. Their knowledge and experience is evident in the service they provide. Staff is friendly. I would recommend them to friends and family.
A professional, family owned company that will actually tell you the truth about what you need! My family switched to Thornberry Bros and has used them for over 7 years, we haven’t had one complaint! I always recommend them, especially since they are a self made company and not some larger corporate business that has a recording when you call-they actually have a person that answers the phone! Hometown care with professional service!

Very professional and prompt. Lee installed our furnace,. He answered all of our questions and was very informative about our system. Jessie installed our air conditioner. They both did an outstanding job. We would highly recommend Thornberry Bros for all of your Hvac needs. They are the best there is. I can assure your job will be done right.

This is the third time I have had to call Thornbury brothers in six years. Each time they were super, quick, courteous, and knew what they were doing. They made me feel very at ease and we’re very pleasant. Logan was just a pure gentleman to deal with and I appreciated it. Definitely the kind of repair people that you would want in your house.
