They responded very quickly. I messaged around 6:00 AM and the repair was done by 9:00 AM. Appalachian Refrigeration is the best!!

This is a well trained, professional group of people in a family owned company. These folks are very responsive and very thorough.They installed the first HVAC units in my home when I built it in 2001 and kept them running for 18 years. When I decided to replace them, the units were still running well but parts availability and the type of freon they required were being phased out so it was time to do it. I went with Appalachian Heating and Cooling again and I am so glad that I did. They take great care of their customers. I've done business with them over 20 years and they have never ever let me down.

This is a company that actually services what they sell. They installed our unit 9 years ago. This was the first time we have had trouble with it. The repairman showed up when he said he would be there. He went to work right away and had our unit fixed in no time. My wife was home when the repairs when made. She said the repair man was polite and extra careful not to make a mess. The price they charged was very reasonable for this day and time. If we have we every have trouble again the will be the first place we call. Thank you, for taking care of us!

I had an issue with the AC not coming on. I talked with Harold and he came out the next day. Turns out it was user error and he corrected the problem. I offered to pay a service call fee since it was not the units fault, but he refused. Thank you, Harold, for the prompt response.
We just had our heat pump and ducts installed to replace what was destroyed in the flood. They arrived promptly when they said they would. Harold showed genuine concern for our situation and the entire crew worked late to make sure we had emergency heat before they left for the day. Installation was completed the next day. Excellent work and very professional. We are repeat customers and will not hesitate to call Appalachian Heating and Cooling again if the need arises.
First of all I only write reviews that are deserving of exceptional recognition, or to warn others. In this case, exceptional HVAC Duct/Vent installation by Appalachian Refrigeration Heating and Cooling . We were very pleased from the quote to the complete installation of our new system. All of the staff, installers/supervisers on the job were absolutely wonderful. Everyone worked with a purpose, and as a team, start to finish late in the evening. I guess they thought my wife and I needed a little air-conditioning because of the July 2022 flood. Once again to repeat, we really appreciate the entire Appalachian H/C team (Harold, Terry, Charlie, and the rest of the crew). Therefore, we highly recommend Appalachian Refrigeration Heating and Cooling because of their exceptional professionism from the time of the quote to the complete installation of our new 3 TON Trane XL18I. Appalachian Refrigeration Heating and Cooling will not disappoint you if a new system is needed, or just have one repaired. They installed a heat pump system. They came when they said they would and worked very hard until the job was complete. The weather conditions were not great, as it rained part of the day, but they worked right on. Appalachian has always helped me and my family. Thank you Darrell and crew!

Shop around on price! Tech who visited my home was very respectful, friendly, and fast. Tech was also able to come out within a few hours. However, I was quoted $700 higher than 2 other local companies to replace a compressor, so didn't use their services any further. As I was told on the phone by them, they are definitely the "Applebee's" of HVAC
If you need anything heating and cooling related I’d highly recommend Appalachian refrigeration, my house never had an HVAC so they had to set everything up from scratch. They were efficient, qualified, clean, and very professional. They worked hard and nonstop for 2 days, and informed us what was happening every step of the way. They did a wonderful job and I really can’t recommend them enough.
THANK GOD I had sense enough to call these guys! They said what they would do and did what they said. Highly highly recommended. Will have them on speed dial in the future. Did not try to oversell or over charge.
Andrew is awesome, thorough, efficient and a very nice, courteous technician. He was respectful in wearing a mask and even shoe covers. Although, no fault of his own, he had to return the following morning for a problem that hadn't shown up the previous day. He spent time and thoroughly evaluated our older furnace until the problem was found and repairs were made. Highly recommend Andrew to anyone needing heating and cooling repairs.
Appalachian Refrigeration Heating & Cooling installed a new gas furnace with air for us last week. They did the work in a timely manner, very efficient, and professional. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

They arrive when they tell you they will and make sure it’s done right when they leave. When I’ve got a problem they’re my first call and I can’t sing their praises high enough!
